The Purcell CP is NOT the old Jack Purcell... ...it's better. Classic Jack outside, updated comfy inside. Removable foam insole, not the old attached insole with the weirdly placed arch. Also a nice soft lining and sole is less stiff than the old Jack. Expensive for a canvas shoe, but the only "classic sneaker" I know that's as comfy as a "modern" athletic shoe. Not for retro purists who dig discomfort (or skaters who need thin soles for board feel).

Excellent Old Skool Shoe! These shoes are more comfortable than the regular Jack Purcell’s. More arch support and padding on the tongue. I wore them all day right out of the box and had no problem with them. They run REALLY big, so get about 1 and 1/2 sizes smaller than your regular shoe size. These shoes are the surfer shoe of choice of the 1950's, but way more comfortable.

Jack Purcell’s Are Back - The redesigned Jack Purcell’s are 500% better than the old ones. Same cool look but far more comfortable.

Thicker sole than the Chuck Taylors--much more comfortable. I ware an 11.5 wide and the size 12 fits me perfectly.

The best place to buy your Jacks - I had a great experience with my order from Zappos. The shoes arrived fast and they fit perfect. I didn't have to pay S&H either! Plus, they were cheaper than ordering from the converse website!

I've always wanted a pair of Converse but was always wary because of the comfort factor. But these are really great. It only took me a day to break them in. I wear them everywhere and with practically everything. They're classic, feel great and look even better. LOVE!

Jacks - I bought these shoes for my daughter who absolutely loves them! We are youth pastors and I noticed that 7 out of our 20 kids have them. Not only are they the "in" thing, my daughter says they are very comfy...

These shoes are great but run a size larger. I normally wear a 7 but had to go down to a 6. If you wear socks with these than I would say just go down a half size.

Jack Purcell Shoes - These shoes are great. I ordered them online because we could not find them in the stores at the mall or anywhere. My son loves them! Thank you Zappos for being there when needed.

My all time favorite tennis shoe - Jack Purcell's are such a classic look. I swear by them and reach for them first!! They fit true to size and I feel like I'm wearing slippers with them on. My absolute favorite shoes!!

Jack Purcell Shoes - Jack Purcell shoes were the "must have", "in shoe" when I was in junior high school. I had to have another pair. They wear like iron. I have one pair that is about 10 years old and I still wear them. Nothing beats the comfort of well broken in canvas.

Converse Jack Purcell - Hey these sneaks are great!! I wore them when I was a teenager, and just on a whim I looked online to see if there was any chance of getting a pair. I am so happy to have discovered Zappos- they are the best!!!!!

Love them! These shoes have been a favorite of mine for years! They look really cute with jeans and capris. The only bad thing is they don't have much of an arch...so they're not the greatests for long days on your feet. They fit maybe just a 1/2 size big. But not to the point where I needed to send mine back for a smaller size.

Mmm, Converse - I have had about 3 pairs of Purcells over my lifetime, and wore each pair many years before they fell apart. However, this is my first pair since Converse was absorbed by... was it Nike? The footbed is actually a lot MORE comfortable, and everything's a little bit thicker and cushier... BUT! I originally bought the same size I have always worn and had to return them. Something funky happened to the sizes... If you have had older Purcells, be sure to get a HALF size bigger than you are used to!

I love these shoes! I have always been a Converse girl, but I thought I would give the JP's another try after many, many years of getting the regular All Stars. These are GREAT! Way more comfy than the originals... they have arch supports now!! I have found my new lifelong shoe!!

My Jack Purcell’s- They took a couple of wearings for me to break them in. they hurt my pinky toe the first time I wore them for a long time. But... they are much more comfortable now. They look really cute though. They are cute shoes for girls!!

Awesome! I love these shoes! I swing dance and they are perfect for that because the bottom doesn't have much traction. When you first get them they have to be broken in a little bit because they tend to press in on your toes on the sides. Eventually they loosen up and are really comfortable.

Jack Purcell Tennis Shoes White on White- I love my shoes. I think they actually run one to two sizes to big. I had problems getting the right size but returning them through Zappos was so easy. They actually sent me the other pair before I shipped the other size that didn't fit. Excellent Customer Service. I will definitely buy from Zappos again. Keep up the good work!

Finally I find a pair of shoes I like! These shoes have such a distinct undeniable look. Looks best with a pair of short socks. They go well with anything. They are reasonably priced which is great. Zappos is great as always. Didn't have to return for another size, but you really should go for the 1/2 size below if you are used to Nike/Adidas sizes. Traction stinks in snow, but stays pretty dry inside due to the rubber toe cap. Some days it feels like the heel is slipping and other days it doesn’t. Color migration to socks will happen so wear some junk socks for the first week or so. A little wider than marked which is great because I have a little wider than normal foot. I will definitely buy this shoe again.

Received this shoe in less than a week. Wore them for the first time on the way out one really early morning and forgot the socks but I didn't get any blisters or weird rubbing. Felt very comfortable and even had support for my high arch. Great comfy everyday sneaker.

Love 'em! I love the new Jack Purcell’s! I've been wearing Jack Purcell’s for years and was very wary of the redesign, but it's great. As good-looking as always and SO MUCH more comfortable! I wear them every day, and I'm on my feet a lot. Also, they are still veggie. No leather at all. Should be listed in the 'vegetarian shoes' section.

Sweet rides- What can I say; these shoes are a classic of Americana, and then some. My dad tripped out when he me wearing my JP's it took him back to his high school days. Great look.
