Purcell's are on canvas shoe that can do no wrong. With more arch support than Chuck's, I frequently buy these, at least once a year. I have had a total of three pairs already and love them.

These are great shoes. They are comfortable and cute. They fit well. I usually wear 6 in Converse, but in these, my normal size, 6½ women, fit me great. They also have a little more cushion than regular Chuck Taylors.

True to size. Very similar fit and feel to traditional Chuck Taylor Converse. Just a little more fashionable.

I've heard that Converse sneakers have little cushioning or arch support, so I was happily surprised to find that these are pretty cushy and offer arch support. They're more comfortable than I expected and there's no break-in time. The canvas is soft but the shoe holds its shape. This is a good casual shoe for when you want to be comfy but not wear full-on trainers.

I wore Jack Purcells in the 70's-80's, and now my 13-yr. old has started wearing them. It's really hard to find the Jack Purcell style in stores, so kudos to Zappos for carrying them! The price is a little high, but they wear like iron. I bought the black canvas style. This shoe works best with narrow feet and low/moderate arches. My sone can wear these to gym class as well as walking around. He's even played lacrosse in them! A great all-around shoe, and it wears much longer/better than the regular Chuck converse shoe. I love these shoes! Used to love wearing converse, but had to stop due to lack of cushioning/support. I tried the Jack Purcell's and love them! Very comfy and cool looking. Fit perfectly.

I love this shoe. It is a little roomy, so I added a foot pad. Overall worth the money

These are really cute with jeans and are actually very comfortable. I have very average feet and they do feel a bit narrow.

These shoes were everything that I hoped they would be. I understand that some corners were cut when compared to the older models (see other reviews), but these are comfortable, stylish and a joy to just hang out in. I will definitely be getting some in another color (probably blue). Zappos makes trying these so easy, as well. Fantastic purchase!

These are great shoes; the second pair I've owned. The fit well and are comfortable. I'm a heel walker so the only drawback is that when the heel wears, the label on the back is the first to go.

Super cute shoe, very fun to wear with shorts and capris. I have a very long and narrow foot and this didn't add any size to my foot's look. It's a nice alternative to sandals and flip flops for a casual look. I got a blister on the heel, but that's to be expected on canvas shoes on maiden voyages.

I love these shoes! To me they look best washed a few times and a little worn in. They're great casual yet cool looking kicks. Only downside is the new updating. I prefer the old styling. The new updates feel like they're cutting corners a bit, but not enough to have a pair on hand.

Zappos is the best! I received my sneakers in less than 24 hours. I put these sneakers on today and the memories came rushing back to how I loved them in school with no socks...of course. I took out the inserts and my orthotics work fine. Very comfy.

These are great shoes with a great fit. My only complaint is my feet feel like they are rolling in a little due due poor arch support; however, I wear these as a casual shoe not athletic, so it's fine.

I've always wanted a pair of these but I kept putting it off and buying my standard Asics. I finally got around to these and they're a great purchase! They're super comfy and adorable. I wore these to Disneyland for 2 days and my feet didn't feel so tired. I was a not worried they'd be on he narrow side but they fit well. Love these!

This is my second pair of these shoes. They are extremely comfortable compared to any old converse but they wear out in the back with so much wear as the others do as well. At first they're too white but within a week they're the shade I like. When these wear out I'll of course get my third pair.

Much better option than the traditional design. More supportive on the sole and surrounding. Fashionably a great upgrade to the classic.

I wanted a pair of Converse, but it seems like most styles don't have much padding or support. These have an insert that provides much more support! If I were ordering again, I would order a half size up to accommodate the insert at the heal. Classic Converse with a little something extra!

Amazing shoe! So much more comfortable than the standard Chucks. They do run about 1/2 size smaller, so order 1/2 size up. These also do have some arch support, as well as additional foot and tongue padding. Definitely recommend!

As other reviewers have said - this is a timeless classic...great with sweats, khakis, jeans or shorts. I love these shoes. Others noted that they ran narrow - and the size 10 (my normal size) is snug, but not uncomfortable.

Awesome cool looking shoe! A lot of extra padding in the sole makes them super comfortable. The sizing is different than normal Converse. Go 1 size up from what you'd wear in a Chuck T. I wear a 7 in Chucks and and 8 in everything else, so they fit true to size.

I had the leather version of these back in '98 and loved them. I just got the canvas ones today and forget how cute and versatile they are. Very happy with them. Yes, they run narrow. I'm borderline narrow and they're very fitted.

Classic shoe with comfort for everyday wear. I have these in 4 colors. They are a step up from Chucks because they have a cushier insole and softer interior lining. Get them!
