Toni's Review -
I Love this sock shoe. This is now considered my favorite product. I have told many people to visit your website, and if they ever shop via the internet and use your site, they will never be disappointed.
Thank you.

Poor craftsmanship. The stitching at the sole gave way with less than two hours of wear. A Christmas gift we will have to return.

I purchased these slippers for my husband hoping they would be a good replacement for his favorite slippers our dog ate. While he had his other Acorn slippers for 20 years, he said these were a pretty close match. I am so relieved for finding these on Zappos and thankful for their super speedy delivery.

Acorn slipper sock review -
The sock is great but it seems to run a little small. So, they need to come up with the next largest size. Also, the top of the sock is a little tight for pulling on. Otherwise, it is warm and comfortable. Reminds my husband of the Mukluk socks he wore as a boy.

I had no idea I was so allergic to wool. I have worn wool sweaters and stocking caps all my life. However, after wearing these socks for a few hours my feet were itching like crazy. They also were not quite as easy to get into as I had hoped.

I’ve been wearing this exact slipper sock for about 20 years and always loved them. Now the sizing has changed and doesn’t work for me anymore. I’m between the small and medium for women. also the shoe portion doesn’t work properly with the sock portion- the sock was way too tight and caused the shoe to kind of twist. I read elsewhere online that these are now made in China, which may be the source of the current problem.

Read the reviews, folks. These Acorn slipper's are very different than they used to be. I was thrilled I had the option to order the XS 5-6 size, instead of the old sizing of 5 1/2 - 7, because those were a tad too big. These actually AREN'T 5-6, they are the original 5 1/2 -7, however they are now even longer, and very, very narrow. These will be returned.

Having had the "old, bad, seriously in need of resizing", but absolutely perfect socks, I cannot recommend or even tolerate these. If you have experienced even mediocre slipper socks, you will likely be very disappointed with these.
Acorn's new and improved sizing must lower cost in some important way, since it seriously degrades comfort. Also, the skimpy fabric is noticeably inferior to my present pair which are sadly in need of replacement after years of wear. I can find nothing good to say about these egregious abominations. They are being returned.

I have had two previous pair. The wool was warm, comfortable, and stretched just enough to be comfortable. I liked the suede sole without padding. It was what I wanted, warm socks with a bit of a sole for comfort and durability. I received a new pair and will be returning them. They are the same size as previous pairs but are impossibly tight and uncomfortable. The sole is the identical size to my old ones but the wool upper is nothing like my previous pairs. I am so disappointed that I have lost access to a long time favorite. Change is not always an improvement. (emerging information and experience with "earthing" says wool and leather do not interfere with the connection to benefit. Artificial material padding in between knit wool and suede sole destroys this effect.)

These are huge. They are much closer to a full 7 than anywhere near a 5 and 1/2. Too bad, too. They're really cute.

So comfortable. My first pair lasted 7 years before the leather bottom started to split slightly on one sock. I wore them daily, some days upwards of 12+ hours being a stay at home mom that cared for extra children during the school week. In the Pacific Northwest and with perpetually cold feet I wore the slipper socks for a good 10+ months out of the year. Really only stopping daily wear during the worst heat of the summer as we do not have AC. I get many compliments on my slipper socks and just love them.

Beautiful quality! Had to return. Misread the sizing chart and got them 2X to big! Ordered the L and am extremely happy

Bought these for my husband because he said his feet get cold on the tile floor of our porch when he’s only wearing socks, which is most of the time indoors. He absolutely loves them. Said they’re soft and cushiony and keep his feet warm. He normally wears a size 10-10-1/2, and I bought the size large and they’re perfect.

Actually, Acorn made a mistake on my original order. Their follow up to correct and replace at their expense was spectacular. I have been wearing these slipper socks for decades and will be happy to be buried with them some day!

These slippers are so cozy, comfortable, and don't slide around on my feet ~ I wear a 7/7.5 and ordered an extra small. I highly recommend!

As other reviewers have commented, they are making these a lot narrower and this would have been my 3rd pair (I have worn out the others or lost them on trips) but these won't work. I will have to find something else to travel with.

Never ordered from Zappos before, but WOW - Delivery the next day. The slippers are a bit tighter across the top, so a little harder to slip into than a pair that I got years ago, but fit my 7.5 size feet fine. So toasty on my cold Wisconsin floors!

What you see is what you get- a cozy, comfortable slipper sock with a soft leather sole for durability and protection. Those little wet spots in the kitchen do not penetrate as with regular socks. And a few steps outside, maybe retrieving your mail is fine too. I have owned these Acorn slipper socks in the past, and they lasted two to three years. I wash them periodically in cold or warm water in the washing machine, and then air dry.

I love these so much that I bought a second pair a week after I got them, since I was afraid they'd become extinct. These are easily the perfect slipper (at least for me!). They have a really great cushy sole that is heaven to slip into after a long day in heels. The sock length is comfy and keeps my always cold legs warm. These are my go to slippers, no doubt. I haven't had to break into my second pair yet - the first pair has held up really well (over 2 years, and I even throw them in the washer!), but I still think I'm going to buy a third pair to be super sure I will never go without these cozy slippers.

I have purchased these slipper socks for years. Living as I do in Minnesota, I appreciate the warmth and comfort they provide during our long winters. First thing I put on once I am up in the cold mornings. When these were made in the US, they were always perfect. My new pair was made in China and within a couple of weeks the stitching in one sock joining the sole to the upper started to unravel. I called Zappos to arrange for an exchange and was immediately sent a new pair. So, Zappos service continues to shine. Acorn's China production, not so much.

These have been my comfort zone for years but alas the current iteration seems to be of a different fabric, rougher, with no wool for warmth

One of the models on the site noted "imported" on the description, so I nixed that one. Ah, the good old slipper socks are made in Maine, right? The description made no mention of "imported." They arrived today. Yeah, they're fine. But, on the sole it says "Made in China. Yeah, the website is festooned with all this "Made in Maine" stuff.
Apparently, not so. I'd gladly pay more to employ Americans.

These seemed like a great idea, but my experience was not good. The "sock" is not enough to stabilize the sole on my foot -- it tends to rotate slightly and becomes uncomfortable. I returned these and bought "Old Friend" soft sole moccasins instead -- they are more comfortable, more sturdy, can be worn with or without socks, you can choose any weight socks you want, and of course the socks are easy to wash. Unlike the Slipper Sock.

I wanted to love these - I used to have a pair of fleece slipper socks that looked like these that after about 10 years of wear I had to replace. These are terrible. They hurt my feel - I can't walk in them without the bottoms shifting. They fit perfectly (I have a size 7 1/2 foot - I had to get the smallest ones). But every step feels dangerous and my ankles hurt after wearing them.
I'd also recommend:

My fiance had a pair of these in the past and he absolutely loved them, so I ordered 2 new pairs for us for Christmas. I thought maybe there was a defect on these pairs or something because they fit really funny. The ankle part comes up from the very back of the heel so the fabric bunches up at the front of the ankle, and that part is puts pressure on the top of my foot/front of my ankle and feels like it's forcing my foot to the way back of the slipper. It almost feels like you're standing on the heel edge, yet there's way too much room at the toes. I'm an 8.5 typically and he's a 10.5-11, but we're both swimming in these. If it wasn't for that, they'd be great. The fabric and cushiony bottom seem comfy and high quality. Customer service tells me they've changed the design in the last couple years.. hope they switch it back. In the meantime, disappointed and returning these.
