A very nice pair of shoes - It's a little heavy and it's a little stiff. However, it looks very nice and overall, pretty comfortable. I can't complain if all of my shoes fit this way. Runs about half a size bigger, at least compared to my Kenneth Cole shoes which were 3-4 years older.

Okay - But... The style of this shoe is great, however, I found problems with the rear lip of the shoe being cut far too high and digging in uncomfortably into my achilles tendon. This will probably soften up over time but it makes wearing the shoe quite uncomfortable. The shine of the shoe is a matt type finish therefore will need a little polishing to make it a truly dress type shoe. Annoyingly the shoe laces on one of the shoes also broke after approx. 10 wears - something that one wouldn't expect to happen so soon after the purchase.

Flexibility and good looks - This shoe is a multi-tasker. I feel comfortable wearing it with a suit or with less formal wear. It wears well. It is a bit on the heavy side.

Bought this model 5 years ago and wore them (in the office only) nearly every day since -- I jog there. They've held up beautifully and I'm about to get a new pair. Surely got my money's worth on the first ones.

As a professional pilot, I was in need of a multi-use dress shoe. (For the cockpit and walking on wet tarmacs) This is the second pair of Kenneth Cole Merge shoes I have purchased. They are durable and long lasting. It seems they come a half size large, so consider ordering a half size smaller than you are used to. I highly recommend these shoes!

Great shoe. Quick break in period (1 day) and extremely true to size and comfort.

These were very comfortable the first time I wore them. I have had them for about three months. Looks better than the image online. I use them for work, church, and with jeans. Recommended.

I love these shoes. I needed some smart black shoes for an up coming event and chose these by K. Cole. They look great and turned out to be very comfortable also.

Comfortable shoe. No break in time really; I wore them right out of the box. The initial shine on the shoe is very nice; its hard to maintain it, however. I find I'm polishing them 2x a week (could just be my OCD for extremely shiny shoes). The only issue, which is minor and that I have with them, is that they tend to crease a little too soon. After about a month of wearing them I was seeing permanent creases that shoe trees no longer could control. A great product overall, especially if you are looking for a great office shoe.

Good shoe, very stylish, would recommend the shoe to anyone. But having owned other Ken Cole shoes with rubber soles, once the sole separates from the shoe, it's done and can't be repaired.

These shoes look great but will take some time to break in. As with most KC shoes, the soles are poor quality and cannot be repaired. I wore mine through after 7 months. You might look for something more rugged for everyday wear.

I've had these shoes for a several days now and they've been great so far. I love the metro yet classic styling and they go great with my business clothes. It's hard to find dress shoes nowadays that aren't so gaudy, skinny or chunky. I could definitely see them being worn with some nice jeans or khakis as well. The shoes are nicely constructed and of good materials. I like the thick soles and there's even some comfy gel padding in the heal of the insole. The leather is rigid and more on the shiny side, not necessarily patent leather, but close. My only concern is that I tend to walk on my toes and the smooth/shiny leather is already showing a little distress where the front of my foot flexes. My other dress shoes have the same issue, but I just get them treated and polished when it becomes noticeable. If the leather is quality then they'll look great for a long time, too soon to tell with these. As for comfort, I haven't had to stand or walk extensively in them yet (and hopefully I won't have to), but they feel good for dress shoes. The firm leather did take a day or so to break in, but they've been good ever since. All in all a very nice pair of dress shoes with some great styling.

I have liked these shoes in terms of comfort, style and fit. However, the gel part of the sole has broken and it has partially leaked. This happened about six months after getting the shoes, maybe less. It is a sticky substance that sticks to my sock, and so when I take off my shoe the sole comes out as it is stuck to my sock. I have put bandaids over the broken gel thing to prevent that from happening, but it is only a temporary fix. Not sure as of yet how to get new soles from Kenneth Cole.

These are good for dressing up, wearing with a suit or even a tuxedo. They are leather but are so patented that they seem like vinyl. I hope they develop a good patina like my previous black Kenneth Cole shoes did. Relatively comfortable so far and are getting better as I wear them more.

Normally KC shoes are good but mine fell apart within 6 months. The entire bottom fell off of my left shoe. Also, I feel like the quality of KC shoes has gone down overall in the past 5 years. They used to maintain their luster and shine and shape but now they do not anymore. I can see buying KC for casual wear and not for everyday use-- they do not stand up like they used to. Unfortunate. Time to pay more for higher quality.

I typically love Kenneth Cole shoes. I realize, however, they can be hit or miss as far as comfort is concerned. This pair was a definite miss. The leather is so stiff that they become extremely painful to wear after a period of time. I've gotten them to the point where they're "broken in" but they still feel like torture devices for feet. They also felt a bit wider than marked, which has led to a good bit of rubbing on my heel. I'd recommend a pair of Kenneth Cole's with softer leather over these.

Size and fit is great. There is great room in the toe box which was a most important consideration in selecting shoes I would be in all day. Very comfortable.

Much higher gloss than I thought but it will diminish over time

This review is less about the purchase and more about the exemplary customer service I received from Zappos. Simply amazing. I had reached out to them to inquire as to recourse regarding a pair of shoes that had started to come apart after just a few weeks. Not only was their reply immediate and reflective of concern, but they sent me a replacement pair of shoes within days of my query. Zappos has long been my vendor of choice; this latest experience further solidifies my loyalty and appreciation.

Have been wearing these shoes for years. They look great and are very comfortable if you have to be on your feet all day!
