Perfect for a college backpack. It is large enough to carry all the things you need, but not too bulky. Laptop compartment is great!

I mostly use this backpack for school. Sometimes when I go hiking I like to use this backpack if I need to bring stuff along with me that can't fit in my pockets. My backpack is comfortable and surprisingly extremely light weight.

Love the versatile build of this backpack. This is the first Northface I've owned, but it won't be last.

I use this backpack primarily to carry my books and laptop around campus, and its basic design makes it simple and easy to use. Very comfortable to wear, and fits everything I need to transport well.

This is the second NF Jester backpack I've purchased for my daughter to use in college. It is well made and built to last. She wanted a new color is the only reason we replaced the old one. She uses it everyday in all kinds of weather. Just the right size for college, not too big - not too small. Very comfortable.

This backpack has taken me through high school and into college, as well as on many trips and hikes! It's perfect for carrying all my books and laptop around campus and works perfectly for day hikes or short trips. The padding and adjustable straps make any heavy load comfortable and I LOVE all the color options. As soon as (or if) this one wears out, I will definitely be purchasing anther ine again!

I use this backpack for hiking and also for school, it's great of both of them.

I bought this for my daughter and she is so excited to go back to school with it, it has all she wants. She took it out of the box and found it to be exactly what she was hoping for.

Use it for school, although its difficult to fit everything in it. Definitely have to make adjustments. Not enough small pockets, actually there are none. Sucks for when I need to grab my keys or phone quickly.

I got this bag for school cause I heard a lot of good things I had a bit of a problem with the amount of space but that will help me with keeping organized I just got it monogrammed and it is so cute

I use this backpack for traveling, work, and school. It works great! You can tell that its great quality and worth the money! I've used it for a week now. I do wish it had a small pocket at the front. Its easy to pack; I have been able to fit my laptop, 2 makeup bags, chargers, wallet, hairbrush, 1 outfit, planner, food, lotion, water bottles, and a few other items. Its doesn't feel like I'm carrying all of that though. Unlike other backpacks I feel like this backpack doesn't hurt my back or shoulders. I got the blue one and I love the color, but I'll probably purchase the backpack again in black to have it in a neutral color that goes with everything!

As a college student, I was looking for a bag that has the durability to withstand my heavy textbooks and a nicely padded laptop sleeve to protect my 13" laptop. The last backpack I owned from a different company began to tear at the seams, whereas this bag seems to have a sturdier build for my books. Overall, I like the bag's layout and it has a nice organizer pocket. Also, there is a lot of room in the top space of the main compartment to store a jacket or sweater on top of books and folders. The only drawback is that the bag doesn't expand as fully as I would've expected in the main compartment, only allowing for a limited number of notebooks and textbooks. That being said, I usually don't carry around my entire library, and this bag works for my needs as a student. I definitely appreciate the padding as well when I am carrying heavy textbooks!

My son uses the back pack for school. He loves it and it holds all his books comfortably..

I bought this backpack to use as a first year college student. Haven't been able to test it quite yet, but the quality of the backpack is very good. It appears to be well-made, with lots of storage. I was impressed at the amount of padding on both the straps and the back, so I know that it will be comfortable to carry around campus.

It is very comfortable and I do not get easy tired with it.

This bag is great! It has a lot of zips, and a lot of space which is probably the main reason it caught my attention. I'm so excited for my last year in high school, and I think this bag just makes me feel more excited about this upcoming year.

Really a nice clean looking backpack! Super comfortable padding, lightweight and perfect size for my body (5'5, 116lbs). I frequently fly out of town on the weekends and like to just bring a backpack of stuff as a carry-on; my old north face backpack was awesome and I could shove a weeks worth of clothes in it....the Jester isn't as spacious. The front pocket isn't very expandable and was barely able squeeze my deodorant and charger in it after I packed the main compartment with 3 shirts, two shorts, a couple sandles and small toiletry bag. For school, this backpack is perfect as long as you're not lugging a lot of binders and text books around with you all day. It was also super confusing trying to figure out if the organizer would be in the main compartment or front pocket based on the pictures. I ordered the TNF-black and the organizer is in the front pocket (I was hoping it would be in the main compartment). Overall, super happy with my purchase and the high quality of this backpack.
