I use it for college and school best book bags ever

I bought this backpack for travel as a carry on. It is nice upgrade with many pockets, zipper compartments and other features. I bought my daughter the Surge in August for school. After seeing how much it would hold and how durable it was, I ordered one for myself. I look forward to taking my new Recon backpack to Europe this summer! We love all Northface products!

Fits my 15" mac book, two full sized textbooks, a planner, a binder and a notebook, my tablet in the second compartment, lots of writing supplies, my wallet, glasses.... everything! Feels comfortable and sturdy to wear, easy to carry a "heavy" book load.

I am a full time student who needs a lot of room in a book bag! This bag is perfect! It is not bulky but fits many books and notebooks! The pockets are designed for awesome organization! This bag is also sooooo comfortable! I never worry about hunching over or having my back hurt when I get to class! Would recommend and buy again!

I bought this for my girlfriend - she is starting law school next year. She loves the great functionality and sporty style!

I have never had a backpack this nice! When it arrived I just shocked by the quality and thought put into every part.Then when I loaded it with computer, binders, kindle etc. and put it one I could barely feel it! Other people have also commented on how pretty and practical it looks. I use this to go to work everyday, and when I go out on casual day trips.

North Face products are always great. The bag came shortly after I ordered it, and the colors look much better in person than the pictures (I ordered the gray and mint one). This was a Christmas present for my girlfriend so she has a nice bag for school. It holds everything she needs to take with her to school, and is comfortable and cool looking. All around great gift.

I've been using this backpack for college and it has been great. At first I didn't like it because the back is hard and stiff which I wasn't used to. Once I realized that there is a pocket on the back for a laptop I liked it much better because it is very protective. I love the color and it's high quality material. There's a lot of room. Once I started using it I loved it!

It looks and feels great but the only downside is that, the zipper gets snagged in the upper lining but that's probably the only con of the book bag. Overall great product

I need the backpack for everyday use, soni love all the compartment and the sturdiness of the bag. I just wish ithe main compartment was a little bigger

I am a college student and I received many lavish gifts for Christmas this year but this was by far my favorite gift!!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

I oroginally wanted this backpack for school, but I fell in love with its versatility and comfort. I have a one year old and this has now become my diaper bag. It has a pocket for everything and it's lightweight compared to a lot of other backpacks. Not to mention I get compliments on its upbeat stylish colors Daily! Two thumbs up NorthFace!

As a student who bares the burden of carrying countless books that weigh like a bag of cement, this bag does the job. The suspended strap design combined with the padded backing is a perfect solution to strain and pressure on your shoulders. The main compartment is plentifully equipped with enough space for everything and the laptop holder is padded to protect your device. There are countless of other compartments for your stuff and would reccomend to any student or avid traveller. I can also see it being perfect for casual day hikes or light camping trips.

I mainly used this backpack for school. I am thinking of getting a second one in a different color for travel. It would be an excellent carry-on

My first north face purchase, and I am super impressed. Worth the investment, as I have been using cheaper backpacks and they progressively worsened my back. This backpack provides good support.

The quality was excellent, which is what I expect from "North Face". Lots of compartments and the seams seem to be well constructed. A rigid back makes it stand when setting it down rather than collapsing in a heap. Just started using it so I will report back if any issues develop. I have used quite a bit of North Face gear and have yet to be disappointed and I'm fairly certain I won't be this time either. Definitely recommend this one.
