My daughter somehow came across North Face backpacks and instantly fell in love. My daughter deserves North Face backpack and any backpack that she wants. Years ago I had a traumatic fall and as a result my head suffered the consequence. My daughter financially supports me, I have no income whatsoever; she has been my lifesaver. We are both students, she is a nursing student and I am a 56 year old college social work student. When she mentioned that there is a backpack that she would love to invest in, I listen to carefully. Not knowing the price of North Face until I took a walk through your website, needless to say I was wondering how in the world would I be able to afford my lifesaver-my angel-my daughter a NF backpack. I Knew that somehow I just had to get her the backpack of her choice, especially after all she does to take care of me. I just didn't know how I could afford to get her a NF backpack, I HAD to make it happen. She NEVER ask for anything, especially, since my fall and since I don't work. I made it happen! I did! My daughter was absolutely speechless when she came home and opened the bag and saw the NF backpack she wanted. She wiped away her tears, then my tears started. She knew that I used all my money to get her that backpack, and it doesn't even matter, doesn't phase me a bit, because, I know I will be provided for and taken very good care of. This meant the world to me to see my 33 year old daughters face light up. As for the backpack, it is beautiful! I have never felt such a sturdy backpack, I have a feeling it will last her many years. She's impressed with the many compartments, it's deep enough to hold a computer and thick textbooks, and more. The supportive back straps are amazing, they will definitely keep her from having too much pressure on her lower back. She filled up her backpack to test the durability...IT PASSED with raves and two thumbs up! Now, I'm saving for my own North Face backpack. We are highly impressed and satisfied!

So I used this for school I can fit about four binders inside but I wish it had more pockets and secret pockets on the inside.

The backpack was super stylish and practical!

I use this backpack for college!! I can fit all of my books and notebooks in here and there's still more room after all of that in it!!! I would highly recommend this backpack!!

Overall, I really love this. I was worried about it not having enough room for all my textbooks, but there is enough space for everything and more. It's thoughtfully designed. I feel like this is the best backback I've ever had. I'm glad I spend a little more and got this one instead of the slightly cheaper NF ones. I look forward to using it more! Super cute colors too

I purchased this backpack for my son who is in high school. It is a unique design and very attractive. The backpack is made to last and is lightweight and comfortable.

I ordered this book bag in the dark gray and dark turquoise as it is pictured. After i received the book bag, i noticed the colors weren't as dark as they were in the picture and ended up being entirely different. Customer service said it's a pre manufactured image so make sure to contact them for specifics on the bags. Love the bag, just expected the colors in the picture. That's the reason why i ordered it.

My daughter picked this backpack based on appearance but I bought it because of North Face reputation for quality. It is roomy and she is very happy with it.

My most recent purchase was actually a replacement for a bag I had had for nearly 20 years. I sent it back for minor repair about ten years ago and have used the heck out of it over the years. Although I was unsure if they would be able to fix it, I sent my favorite pack back to the company for another repair. Unfortunately my pack couldn't be fixedbut I was astounded that North Face provided me with a gift card to replace my old pack! I have been a fan for years, but I am devoted now as they clearly take pride in their products and taking care of customers. While I am sad to not have my old pack, the new one is beyond expectation. I love it! Thank you!

Perfect for all of my school books and notebooks.

I bought this for my daughter who is leaving for college. It is very high quality. There is plenty of storage with a special compartment that will protect her laptop. It will definitely withstand the weather. My daughter likes the look of it. It isn't bulky at all.

I use this backpack to carry my school supplies with me around campus and with all the stuff I have to carry, the backpack makes it comfortable to lug around school!

This is my second time purchasing the Recon Backpack (third time purchasing a North Face backpack) and I absolutely love them!! My backpacks have typically lasted me 4+ years on average. That is with carrying heavy books and shoving it to max capacity. Not once has a zipper broke on me, even when I have tested the limits many times. It has enough space for all my books, binders, and my laptop. Its also great for when I am walking around the city for when I just need to throw a few things in it.

I think this backpack is very versatile and worth the money you spend on it. I recently got it as a gift for back to school and it has changed my mind on previous backpacks I had (Herschel, Jansport). I think this backpack offers a lot of storage for school use, including laptops, tables, textbooks, etc. I enjoy that this backpack has water bottle pockets that are deep enough to fit larger sized water bottles. I also think this backpack is comfortable to wear even when heavy due to the design of the shoulder straps, the sternum strap and the padding on the back of the pack. Overall, this backpack has demonstrated good versatility as I have used it for many different occasions. I will be recommending this product to others!!

All three of my boys use this backpack all throughout their high school and college years. Holds just enough without being to heavy or bulky, including room for a 13 inch laptop. Great pockets for cell phone. Stands up to the everyday life of a teenage boy! I highly recommend it!

I use this for school and I love that my 15inch laptop fits perfectly inside and is protected inside and out! I love the quality of the back pack.

This product is not too heavy, big nor small. The inside pockets fit very well and helps with being organized.

I ordered this product online for my upcoming freshman year at college in the color Rumbred/ Grsllgy and expected it to come as the same color as on the website, but when the backpack arrived the colors were slightly different from the picture. Instead of the linings for the mesh on the outside pocket being white, they are dark grey, along with the bottom part of the backpack, which appears to be light purple in the photo on the website. There are a few other color changes to on the backpack, but they aren't as noticeable as the ones highlighted above. I do love the backpack itself and have heard good things about it, but I am a bit confused as to what happened with the coloring...

I love how much space the backpack hasespecially the slot just for my laptop and the pouch on the front that I can throw anything in! Very happy with my purchase!

I will be using this backpack for high school senior year and then next year in college.
