This backpack is well made and good looking. It's not bulky at all when it comes to the volume it can be filled with. You definitely get what you pay for in quality! I'm a full-time college student who totes around books, and workout gear everyday who needs a backpack that can carry deal with the load. This bag can carry a great amount of items, and still feel comfortable compared to other bags under heavy conditions. I highly recommend this backpack to anyone who wants to upgrade from their previous backpack. a

I really love this back pack. It was really easy to reach in and pull my laptop out when going through security, no fuss. Which to me was amazing because I always feel rushed through air port security. It held everything I needed as a carry on and more.. So it's probably my fault it was heavy. But the chest and waist straps help disturbed the weight across your body. It has good organization. I'm not sure it is supposed to be water proof, but after walking 6 blocks in the poring rain in New Zealand nothing inside my bag was wet! The back pack itself dried off quickly and nicely with a nice wipe down by a towel. I could fold my sweatshirt and put in it the front stash area. (Which is also amazing when traveling.) All and all very very pleased with this backpack. Will continue to use it for work at home in Nebraska!

Totally worth it! high quality and lots of space really well divided inside and outside the bag. Easy to carry on and comfortable if you are going to spend long time walking or hiking

I use this for everyday use to go to school and I absolutely love this backpack, it's extremely comfortable and it has really good padding on the back. It can handle both heavy and light loads with the clips on the backpack. It looks good and it's high quality. You can't go wrong with this product.

I won't lie. I bought this backpack for school, not hiking. I already own a hiking backpack but when my trustworthy jansport split at the seams I knew I needed to make a new purchase. I researched online and compared shops, prices and online reviews unendingly. Here's what it came down to: I trust Northface. Pound for pound some of the best equipment and clothing out there. I knew if I did the research and found a product from Northface that met my specifications it would get the job done, and it does. I was looking for a lightweight backpack that could carry some heavy loads, a laptop sleeve, and a water bottle sleeve. The front pocket is perfect for all my extras: calculator, pens, name tags, even an extra scrub top! An additional thing I wasn't looking for that pleasantly surprised me: the zippers are thick and sturdy. I feel like my belongings are secure. Also, I'm always surprised by how light and natural the fit feels. If you're agonizing over your backpack purchase, fret not. Look up your specifications and you can find something at Northface that is not only good quality, but it will last a long time.

I use this backpack for college and it fits everything that I need! I bought this backpack specifically because my back was hurting from my previous backpack and this backpack helped me resolve that problem.

I use this product for school, as well as for going on hikes or shooting guns. It is. Very organized and has compartments that can be used for a variety of items. It has a nice computer sleeve, as well as sleeves for phones or tablets. It's a decent size and feels very well made. I bought this one because my hipster backpack disintegrated after a mere 5 years!

The compartments allow for easy storage and are great for those who like to have things organized or those who wish to become more organized.

I have a ton of backpacks in all different sizes for different needs. This is perfect for when I need to carry more than just a laptop. North Face backpacks have always been great for organization with all the different pockets and they're comfortable as well even when full packed. The softer lined small pocket in the top is nice too when you don't want to scratch your phone or glasses.

I use this backpack for school and just everyday use! I also take it on day hikes and it is so comfortable to walk with and it has more than enough room for everything I need! This backpack goes with me almost everywhere because it's the perfect companion!

I bought this backpack a couple of weeks ago and I love the color and support of the backpack as well as all of the space inside of it!

I use this backpack everyday in college; my laptop and books fit perfectly. The best thing about this backpack is that I don't have to worry about my stuff (especially laptop) getting wet ever. It has so many compartments, which makes everything so organized and easy to find. The padding is great and it makes my daily load so bearable and I feel like it is really good for my spine. I haven't been complaining about my back pain ever since I use this back pack. Such a good investment !

Quality product

The laptop sleeve can fit pretty big laptops, and comfortably while doing so! The many pockets are helpful for keeping little things aside from the big things. Carrying it around campus feels so much better than past backpacks I've had. Recommend 10/10

Had my last Recon for 9 years. Still going strong, but with some wear and tear from school/traveling, I figured it was time for an upgrade. Wasn't a hard decision to go with the Recon again. The shoulder straps are much more comfortable and the backpack feels sturdier without sacrificing comfort. The medium size and well thought out interior make it a go-to backpack for everything from commuting to traveling.

I use this product for school but will also be using it for all my travel/hiking/adventure needs. My old backpack was hurting my back everyday when I would walk to class. I was hesisitant to buy a backpack that was this expensive but after wearing it for a while now, I can tell you that it is worth it. My back feels so much better already. It is padded but it also more rigid (in a great way) than my old backpack. My only complaint about this backpack is that I feel like I can not fit quite as much in it as I could my old one. I love all the compartments it has and I feel like it has led me to be more organized for school.

Awesome backpack!! It hasn't let me down yet. There is a pocket for everything which is great. It is very comfortable once you get the straps adjusted.
