I purchased this product because i have other northface bags! very pleased with products, however this bag was not what i expected. the design seemed to be the adequate size for my needs but the pockets were small and the side pockets (phone and cups) were very difficult to manipulate. the bag does not have enough stretchiness for books, laptop and/or papers. the front pocket is not deep enough and stuffing it makes access to the middle items inaccessible. the zippers don't move as smoothly as some of the other products i own. the bottom of the bag is not balanced which makes means the bag is always falling over, emptying all of the items on the floor or the car.

Love this bag. I love the mesh. I use it every day. Great for large laptops and great personal item when traveling.

This is an amazing backpack that fits everything possible but doesn't end up feeling crowded

I got this bag as a gift for my boyfriend! He needed a new commuter bag to take to work with him and he loved this one! It had just the right amount of pockets. Big enough to fit extra clothes for the gym, along with work supplies in the second compartment. Highly suggest!

It's a solid backpack that is perfect for hiking on the trail or in the city! I love how sturdy and well made it is plus there are plenty of places to store stuff! Would recommend to anyone looking for a new backpack!

I wanted to love this bag but I received one with shoulder straps of different lengths, returned it, and received another with the same problem. It has a lot of great storage features but I found the uneven straps intolerable and returned the second bag.

This is only my second NorthFace backpack. I got the first in high school and it lasted me 12 years. I'm going back to school for my master's degree and needed a new backpack, so I got the Recon. The color is as pictured, has the right amount of storage, and is not overly bulky. In addition to school use, books, laptop, etc., I use it when I go on day hikes. The Recon backpack is great and I'm sure it will last me many years.

Perfect gift, my boyfriend loves it!

I bought this for my husband. He has been using it for work for a couple weeks now and loves it. There are many pockets for organization. He likes the deeper sleeves for water bottles on both sides. A great backpack!
