I bought 2 of these backpacks for my teens. Both have lots of homeworks and have to carry several pounds of books back-and-forth from home to school. These packs were a big hit! They are extremely well made, very comfortable for carrying heavy weight and stylish as well. I am really happy with the durability and ergo aspects so that my kids are not ruining their backs hauling heavy books. The kids are really happy that they look cool.

This backpack was purchased for my high school daughter. She has a very heavy load to carry and other backpacks weren't holding up! This one feels great on your back and is a very stylish design. We do wish it were a little roomier. It's hard to get all her things to fit in this style. Overall love it!!

The color is much darker than it looks online. It's not exactly grey, it appears almost light "purple".

I researched for hours on which backpack would be best for me. I'm about to graduate nursing school and needed something that would be great for preceptorship and when I start working officially. This backpack has lots of space and just looks really sharp. It doesn't fit as much as I thought it would though. The front pocket only goes halfway down the bag and the biggest center compartment doesn't open wide enough and the space isn't distributed evenly. There's a ton of space at the bottom of that section, but getting everything to fit in the top part at the same time is difficult. the back compartment for laptops/tablets is a great size. It's padded pretty well and the back is super hard so I feel like its got great protection. I think the shoulder straps could be a little wider and they're pretty stiff, but I'm hoping they'll soften up after some use. Also, the side pockets on this pack are HUGE! I have a 1 Liter Yeti Rambler water bottle and it fits perfectly into the side mesh pockets! Overall, this backpack is awesome. Takes some getting used to but I'm loving it!

I use it for school and I put a water bottle in the side pocket and the water bottle fell through and I had to go home and tap the side mesh pocket shut.

I love the color and size but wish the backpack would stand up on it own and not fall over. It is a longer back than I normally use so I have to dig to get things at the bottom. Overall I like it and it is the closest thing I could find that had requirements I wanted.

Honestly this is the worst bag I have ever owned. I came in the mail bent stuffed in a plastic wrapping not even in a box. Second it doesn't stretch out so it's hard pulling out textbooks and notebooks even my laptop. Third the shoulder straps are so uncomfortable I can no longer use it. I have owned cheaper bags that were better than this. I am disappointed and would like a refund. However it is passed the return date. Last purchase of the north face for me because I also had the same issue with the jester bag as well.

My daughter received this backpack for her 12th birthday. She loves it and the colors are very stylish. The logo and lines along the front are almost a rose gold color. It is much lighter weight and seems more compact than the Vera Bradley bag she's been using yet has just as much room and seems more durable.

Great backpack that holds all my school supplies but does not stay upright when set down, which can be irritating during class.

I use The North Face backpacks to school and I love them because they are the most comfortable, they are all so cute, and they have also grown a lot in popularity because they are just the best backpacks. No matter how much stuff I have in my backpack it feels like I'm carrying feathers on my back. The North Face just has took a lot of time and dedication into creating something the people would love the results have come out perfect. I believe everyone should buy themselves a backpack they might be on the pricier side but they do last quite a while I have had mine for 3 years and they are washer and dryer safe. After having mine and loving it I bought a backpack for my brother and he also loves it. Thank you The North Face for making such amazing backpacks my back is thanking you.

I bought this for my son in high school. His old backpack couldn't handle the load. He loves this backpack, can fit everything comfortably. I would highly recommend.

My daughter researched this backpack before purchasing, and she loves it. She is a high school student with plenty of notebooks and a laptop. She says it is much roomier than it looks, and that everything fits in nicely. She also says the backpack is comfortable to wear and has great padding for her back.

Bought this bag for long college days that require many different textbooks, waterbottle, laptop, and various notebooks and it was too small which was unfortunate given the quality of the backpack. Would be good for someone who doesnt require too carry as many things with them for the day.

A great choice for myself! I bought this bag last year . I always look online to check reviews, look on company websites then make a choice for myself. I have used this as day bag as a, travel bag, carry on flight bag,and most recently i bought a canon DSLR and 2 lenses with a with a camera bag to hold all. that bag fits in the main compartment along with some extra clothing! So this summer 2019 i'm doing a 4 day camping/fishing trip and one of the days (weather permitting) a canoe and portage a couple of lakes away with this TNF Recon, just need a good rain cover just in case it downpours. Thanks much to THE NORTH FACE

I bought this backpack for my daughter for high school and seeing the price tag I figured if this is what she wants I'll get it for her for ALL of high school. All she had done is complain about how the zippers are not big enough and that she cant get things out and the zippers get stuck all of the time.... so then yesterday she told me ONE WEEK UNTO SCHOOL that both zippers broke on the top and she could not get it open she had to bend a paper clip to get it open NEVER BUYING AGAIN

Being a student that has to lug around 5-6 books and/or binders daily, I needed a comfortable, but extremely durable backpack. This backpack has been awesome! The straps make the heavy load seem not too bad. The seams/stitching are extra tough and withholding of the weight and activity related to daily use.

This not your basic, low-tier Jansport backpack that everyone and their younger sibling wears. This is what you get when you put together versatility and style, for a backpack that delivers comfort, and is functional enough to handle whatever you need it for. Unfortunately, you won't be getting the coveted 'Supreme' brand collaboration that is highly sought after by 14-year-old kids and grown men who still dress as the former. However, 'The North Face' is a brand that is strong enough to stand on its own two feet, and as such, it deserves its recognition for possibly being the best backpack I've owned for school thus far. Well done, 10/10, would wear again and again.
