Perfect for all of my school books and notebooks.

I bought this for my daughter who is leaving for college. It is very high quality. There is plenty of storage with a special compartment that will protect her laptop. It will definitely withstand the weather. My daughter likes the look of it. It isn't bulky at all.

I use this backpack to carry my school supplies with me around campus and with all the stuff I have to carry, the backpack makes it comfortable to lug around school!

This is my second time purchasing the Recon Backpack (third time purchasing a North Face backpack) and I absolutely love them!! My backpacks have typically lasted me 4+ years on average. That is with carrying heavy books and shoving it to max capacity. Not once has a zipper broke on me, even when I have tested the limits many times. It has enough space for all my books, binders, and my laptop. Its also great for when I am walking around the city for when I just need to throw a few things in it.

I think this backpack is very versatile and worth the money you spend on it. I recently got it as a gift for back to school and it has changed my mind on previous backpacks I had (Herschel, Jansport). I think this backpack offers a lot of storage for school use, including laptops, tables, textbooks, etc. I enjoy that this backpack has water bottle pockets that are deep enough to fit larger sized water bottles. I also think this backpack is comfortable to wear even when heavy due to the design of the shoulder straps, the sternum strap and the padding on the back of the pack. Overall, this backpack has demonstrated good versatility as I have used it for many different occasions. I will be recommending this product to others!!

I purchased this bag for my 15 year old son.he absolutely loves it. It works great for holding all of his school supplies.

My most recent purchase was actually a replacement for a bag I had had for nearly 20 years. I sent it back for minor repair about ten years ago and have used the heck out of it over the years. Although I was unsure if they would be able to fix it, I sent my favorite pack back to the company for another repair. Unfortunately my pack couldn't be fixed-but I was astounded that North Face provided me with a gift card to replace my old pack! I have been a fan for years, but I am devoted now as they clearly take pride in their products and taking care of customers. While I am sad to not have my old pack, the new one is beyond expectation. I love it! Thank you!

All three of my boys use this backpack all throughout their high school and college years. Holds just enough without being to heavy or bulky, including room for a 13 inch laptop. Great pockets for cell phone. Stands up to the everyday life of a teenage boy! I highly recommend it!

I just started medical school and this backpack is perfect for carrying my laptop and all other essentials. It has enough space and plenty of pockets for what I need. The back is a little stiff, but it is new, so I'm sure it will get better with time.

I use this book bag everyday and it has held up great so far. It even has sustained through the rain.

This is my backpack for nursing school so it needed to be durable. After buying and using it to carry my heavy books it's proved to be very durable and big enough for everything! So happy with this purchase! 10/10 Reccommend!

I love this backpack. I have the white/coral one and it is beautiful and extremely functional. Traveled with this pack to Japan, Hawaii, and New York and it was perfect. The tiny outside pocket I could quickly throw my headphones and phone or my sunglasses without them being scratched. The medium sized pocket was perfect for some snacks, my kindle, my family's passports, boarding passes and everything else. The biggest pocket seems small at first but holds a lot and no complaints about the laptop compartment. I also love the front because I can shove a raincoat in the front without having the ugly bungee cord looking outside. Overall this is a wonderful backpack and would suggest everyone to buy it. (I never review items but this was too good not to!)

I bought this backpack for school and travel mainly and I have been so impressed by it. I am the type of guy that wants a place for everything. My last backpack had just like two main pockets and so I ended up putting everything jumbled up in there. This backpack has literally the perfect amount of little zippered pockets and slots for anything you'd want. AND it doesn't look ridiculous while doing that. I have the all black version and it looks so good with everything. The backpack is pretty slim but it holds A LOT. I LOVE the external water bottle pockets too. I would recommend this to ANYONE.
