A lot of space in the pockets, lots of pockets, and you would think that carrying all my books it would feel heavy but it doesn't. The back part of the backpack is a hard plate but it gives my back support considering the amount of stuff I carry. Space for my Mac laptop is perfect. Thank You North Face!

Durable. Seperate pocket for laptop. Very comfortable to wear. Lots of storage. I would surely buy and recommend this again and again. With a fast delivery as well.

I'm using this product for graduate school. The computer compartment fits perfect. I would recommend and purchase again. My only recommendation for style change is the front zipper for compartment was deeper.

Off to college with new laptop and this pack. Replaced the L.L. Bean pack that has been in use every day at school since the third grade!! That is ten years and needed a great replacement and this RECON pack is it. Comfortable, holds the laptop, plenty of room for school and out and about. Oh and the Black/Hyper Blue combo stands out but not too much. Just great looking.

I got these backpack for my daughter who's going to start 6th grade. The color is lovely, has a lot of pockets and hopefully it lasts as a couple of years as the previous one she had.

High school is complicated....you want to look cool without trying to hard and you want to be organized without looking nerdy! This backpack accomplishes all that while being safe for your back and comfortable. The colors are stylish and not trendy. I bet it will be used all the way to college!

Just as all northface backpacks, it is very durable and stylish at the same time. I've had a northface backpack before and it lasted me years. I wouldn't be surprised if this one lasted me another 5-10 years. It's just that good of a backpack all around

I use the backpack for school and can carry many binders and textbooks while not being too taxing on the back. I would recommend to anyone who wants a lighter backpack and you can use the straps to take the weight off your back. 2 weeks of having and still looks brand new with a lifetime warranty too! 5/5 great quality.

this backpack is amazing and the colors are so pretty and come in so many options but most importantly, somehow my backpack feels lighter than it really is. it fits so much but feels slim and has very useful pockets and is protective of your computer.

I think this is a great backpack and awesome new design! I purchased the black/grey and rose gold one for my sophomore year of college and I'm in love!! I commute so I have a lot of stuff to carry besides books and it can fit everything! So many convenient compartments! I had the north face jester that year and it just wasn't big enough for all my books, would 110% recommended the north face Recon to any college student!

Great backpack for everyday needs. So many compartments. Great quality product and The North Face warranty keeps me coming back over and over. It is great in this day and time to have a company that stands behind their product.

I bought this in the grey/black Coral/Metallic color and it's amazing! I actually use this to carry into work as I work in a factory and can't carry a purse. I have an old yoga North Face bag that I was carrying but wanted something with a few more pockets to organize my things. This bag is wonderful. The straps are very wide and comfortable even when the bag is heavy and the pockets for organization are wonderful! I'd definitely recommend this bag to anyone using for hiking, school or work. You can't go wrong with it!

I use this product everyday for school and additionally when I travel. It is excellent. It is lightweight even though it is full of my books, it is comfortable and doesn't hurt my back. It is stylish! I love it.

I've been using the backpack for a couple weeks. The first day I had two people stop me and ask me about it. Last week I had at least ten people ask me. I selected the backpack for the size and the extras my old computer backpack didn't have. I like the mesh pockets and the extra straps. I work in IT and frequently need to fill the backpack with gear when I visit a remote site. I've managed to fit three laptops in the computer pocket. I haven't tried a day hike yet, but don't expect any issues. Love the colors since it is a nearly matches our company's.

My second of this backpack..the first one lasted over 4 years. Just needed an update for college.

This backpack is very good for school! I am very happy with my decision on this backpack. Would definitely buy again!
