For college

I use this backpack for school and I love it! I'm surprised by how much I can put in it! The only downside was that the side pockets I use for my water bottle are slowly but surely ripping. There are holes and I've only had it for about 2 years now. I take good care of my backpack but it's sad to see it break. Everything else is amazing

Replaced a worn computer bag with this backpack. Great protection for the laptop, and enough storage for everything else.

I gave this backpack as a gift, and she absolutely loves it. She's a teacher and uses it for school and commuting, as well as the occasional gym bag. It's roomy without being too big, and big enough without being too small. It's a perfect commuter or day bag for sure. Plus the color is spectacular without being flashy. Love this and would buy for myself in the future!

I use the Recon primarily for school, but also as an athletic bag for volleyball and for camping/hiking. It's wonderful!

Some small pockets that I wish could hold more, but sooo cute, comfy, and durable!!

Really like this backpack! It has a rigid support panel in the laptop compartment which is much appreciated and will definitely keep my laptop safe and allow the bag to hold its form over time. Love the soft lined sunglasses pocket as well! They really thought of everything.

Pack is used predominantly when I walk lots of miles since I no longer drive. Also as a tote for medical appointments. I have great respect for The North Face brand, having purchased multiple items in previous years when I still had a job.

This bag was great for hiking! It was comfortable to wear and had everything I needed. Highly recommend!

I previously had the Northface Borealis and after 7 years decided it was time to try something new. The Northface Recon Women's did not disappoint! It withheld a week trip in LA through TSA and back. I would highly recommend purchasing this.

I take this backpack with me everywhere. The color matches everything I wear to work and hobbies. I put books in this backpack as well as take it with me when I road cycle.

Backpack is extremely versatile and is perfect for work or travel. Plenty of room for everything and is extremely comfortable even when full. Quality of craftsmanship is obvious.

Great for travel because it has so many parts. Nowadays with airlines charging for checked and carry on bags, it's nice to have a "functional" backpack that can serve as your personal item.

This backpack has been one of them most durable and reliable bag yet. I previously bought my first RECON around 4 years ago for college. After many different uses for my previous bag. I am finally buying another one after needing a solid color for my new career. The only downside to this great bag is that the water bottle pockets do wear out after awhile. That is a reasonable item to expect after 4 hard years. I've used this backpack for work, the gym, school, and the great outdoors. I have just purchased a new RECON in place of my old one now.

I plan as using this as a carry-on in place of a purse when traveling. Much more practical and flexible!

This pack has some great organization and I like how the pockets are divided. I'm a forester and carry unique items but an iPad is on of them and there is plenty of space to store.

This is my second backpack my first lasted about 20 years

This book back is perfect for a college student like myself. There's more than enough room for all of my books, my water bottle plus my laptop. I wasn't sure if this was going to be worth the price tag, but it's beyond worth it! Very happy with it.

I love this backpack. It's spacious yet compact, durable and rugged yet feminine and all around great! It has many pockets to organize everything. I bought it to replace a previous North face backpack that's 19 years and still around. If it still had zipper pulls it would still be usable after all these years which speaks to the durability of North face products. If it lasts half as long as my previous one I'd be very lucky indeed! My previous backpack was with me through high school, college, two states and several jobs. I trust North face backpacks.
