I use this as my everyday backpack - work, trips, etc. it's very comfortable and spacious, and I love the range of pockets. The nicer zips really are nicer.

I use it as a everyday backpack for school and going to the gym as well as when I travel.

Wonderful product

I use it every day to go to work with. I take public transportation to work and also ride my bike once a week to and from appointments. It is great to use on bike trails. It has great compartments to protect and hold my items.

Bought it for my nephew who's a junior in college. He raves about it. Great for school - separate padded compartment for his computer and spacious enough for both his books, lunch and workout gear.

My husband needed a bag for work and he loves this bag. Spacious but also compact.

Needed a new daily backpack for work and travel. My first was a Recon bought in 2004, which I have now passed on to my son. I knew from experience the quality was there, and the new upgrades are awesome!

Great versatility and very durable

I recently purchased recon backpack from North Face, and it has exceeded my expectations in both daily use and outdoor activities. The design is sleek yet functional, making it perfect for city commutes for daily use with laptops & office gears and also perfect for weekend hikes. It can withstand light rain, not tested for outdoor activities in heavy rain. The multiple pockets help keep everything organized. I particularly appreciate the side pockets for water bottles, which are easily accessible while on the go. Comfort is a standout feature; the padded shoulder straps and breathable back panel make it easy to carry, even during longer outings. The backpack also has adjustable straps, allowing for a customized fit. Overall, this backpack is a fantastic blend of style, comfort, and practicality. Very nice quality!

I use this backpack for school and the gym even hiking when i get the chance. This is the most versitile backpack i have ever purchased which happens to be my second one the first one i had lasted me 4 years. Due to the many adventures my first northernface backpack when through the quality was amazing unfortunately the left arm strapped ripped but it was the best purchase i ever made.

Great quality, good space, perfect size.

I've been using the Recon Backpack for my daily commute and it's been fantastic. The storage capacity is great, with plenty of compartments for organizing my laptop, books, and accessories. The shoulder straps are well-padded, making it comfortable to carry for long periods. One thing that could be improved is the water resistanceit holds up fine in light rain, but I'd prefer more protection in heavier downpours.

I enjoy all the silly pockets it has to offer. I will say, there are a lot of straps so if you go hiking and such, it would be helpful. I use it for college, and it's not heavy at all. Only thing is that it does tip over; which is fine. On the zippers, it has holes so you can put charms. I put my hair clips so it's easier to get.

Best bag ever I never see this kind of bag quality north face is the best brand

Retired my old Recon backpack from 2010 after many trips and heavy use. The new model hold a bit more and is comfortable to wear. Looking forward to another decade plus with this backpack.
