Love this backpack!! It holds so much!! The color is great because it hides dirt and is low key but not black or grey like everyone usually gets. Love it!!

The compartments dig into each other a bit and the waist straps are extremely hard to remove. Overall though, the rest of the features are good.

I use this every day for work. Everything about it is great. The should pads and chest strap are very adjustable making it fit exactly how you want. Zippers are solid. The water bottle pockets are deep, flexible and can fit most any size. I'd highly recommend this pack for an every day use.

Great backpack. Plenty of room, lots of pockets, comfortable and cool looking. I like that it has some outer pockets for extra gear but doesn't add to profile or bulk. Very happy with this pack as I'm pretty picky.

Pros: Ergonomic design with excellent comfort and support Large storage capacity with an organization compartment (that could be larger) Durable and water-repellent material Padded laptop sleeve and organization pockets Reflective details for enhanced visibility Cons: The opening should completely open the backpack instead of the half opening to make easier to pack The price point might be higher compared to some other backpacks on the market

Used for work and travel

I use this as my everyday backpack - work, trips, etc. it's very comfortable and spacious, and I love the range of pockets. The nicer zips really are nicer.

Size is great, but my son complained how it does not have reinforced bottom

Wonderful product

I use it every day to go to work with. I take public transportation to work and also ride my bike once a week to and from appointments. It is great to use on bike trails. It has great compartments to protect and hold my items.

Bought it for my nephew who's a junior in college. He raves about it. Great for school - separate padded compartment for his computer and spacious enough for both his books, lunch and workout gear.

I purchased this product because the last Recon Backpack I purchased was such a great bag, however once I received this item I soon realized the new Recon wasn't built has good as the one from 2011. The newer design seems smaller and the fabric they're now using felt less durable and more prone to tearing; it seems to have lost its stretchiness. The front pocket isn't as deep as the older generation and the main pouch is much smaller than before. It seems the new design has removed valuable space for organizing and easily getting to your items. It also appears they're using cheaper fabric that doesn't feel as soft or as durable. Unfortunately, until this bag is re-designed with deeper pockets and extra room inside, I won't be purchasing another Northface Recon Bookbag.
