I have an older pair of the Chocorua hikers in 10M. I ordered the White Ledge hikers in 10.5M and they were way too narrow and length a bit too long. I reordered the White Ledge in 10W and they were just as narrow if not more than the 10.5M. Sent both back. I think Timberland's sizing is messed up.

Comfy shoes, bad laces. Had to replace the laces within a week because they kept coming untied

Bought these as my first pair of boots from Timberland, the company's reputation being one of making quality products.
Right out of the box, I was pleased: the boots were just as the picture on the website showed them to be. They looked great. Next thing, I tried them on (of course!) for a 10 fit: perfect. Not giving it a second thought, I threw the box away: looks great, feel great, I had no reason to send them back.
The next day I wore them to work. It had rained overnight, the ground was wet, with puddles in some places, and there was a light drizzle. I didn't care: my boots were waterproof!
Not! When I got home from work that afternoon, I took the boots off and noticed that the thick light grey socks I wore that morning were darker around the toes, parts of the arch and the heel, on both feet. Whaat?? I had worn the boots all of my 10 hour day and never felt that my feet had been wet after the short walk to the car in the parking lot that morning. I should have read the description of the boots as 'mid waterproof ' . Ok, bad pun.
Be that as it may, I really like the boots: they look great, are very comfortable and strong ( apparently). My pair may have been that one pair in ten thousand that was not perfectly watertight, unfortunately.

They were far too narrow, especially in the toe box. The arches were very supportive, and the material feels like it's of good quality. I can't speak to the durability as I only put them on and laced them up long enough to discover that they won't work for me. I'm really disappointed, since I really wanted to be able to wear these boots!

I hike a lot and I have owned a pair of these before. They seemed to fit better two years ago. Either my feet got bigger (60 years) or these boots got a little smaller. The EE width did not seem wider and the size-13- seemed too short. One of my big toes got a bruise going down hill because it was getting jammed inside. If these were wider, my big toes would have more room. I am sending them back and I reordered the same pair I have now-13 wide Timberline- Earthkeepers® Mt. Maddsen Mid Waterproof. They seem to fit fine.

These shoes are good for walking. Feet feel comfortable. I wish the sole will last longer.

While I really do like the fit and weight of these boots, they're not meant for blazing your own trail, so to speak. They are great on dry trails but as soon as the ground gets wet they lose all sense of traction. Navigating down moderate to small hills on the trail was a tad sketchy as these boots couldn't seem to hold grip. Last weekend while walking up an old river bed they were downright dangerous. The water on the rocks made me have to caution every step of my way. There was absolutely no traction at all. I usually don't post reviews of products cuz who has time for that, but this needs to be shared.
These boots are great for a dry trek through the woods, but once H20 is involved they are a No-Go. I will be looking elsewhere for a different pair of go-to boots.

I love the look and feel of these boots, but they aren’t wide. Sometimes I don’t need to order wide, depending on brands and styles, but I purchased the White Ledge in a wide width to accommodate thicker socks. I wanted them to fit, because they were perfect otherwise, but my mid foot was bulging over the arch. Wish the boots would have worked, but the return is in the mail. Don’t worry Timberland, I still love you.

As a hiking boot, they are fine but they are not waterproof because the upper and the sole have separated some. The material used to seal the two pieces has come loose and lets water in. Very disappointed for them to leak. I have had them a year but have not worn them a lot. I' sure they will not be covered by warranty as I did not save the paperwork. Thought the "waterproof" claim was too good to be true.

I returned the shoes and plan to get something else from Timberland. Timberland hiking shoes are about the only shoes I can wear due to foot problems. However, these were too stiff, maybe it was the water proofing material. Did not feel right and felt uncomfortable so I decided right away to return them. Plan to buy a different Timberland shoe.

This brand does NOT sell wide shoes despite the "EE" wide designation. It was maybe a "D" width at best. I couldn't get my foot 1/2 way in. I couldn't tell much about it other than it looks good.

Had a problem with the overall fit although length and width was okay. The problem with the fit is that the stitching around the lower part of the throat opening extends kind of far onto the vamp. This gave me a blister on top of my toe where it joins my foot. Ouch. Of course I wouldn't have known this until AFTER I went on a hike. And after just one short hike with a 1000 incline and down the tread shows more wear than I expected. I don't know if these can be resoled but I tell ya. That won't be cheap if they can be.

This was my third pair of these same style and model boots. Up until now I have been very satisfied with them, however this pair, although marked WW are not. I'm very disappointed with them.

This is my 2nd pair, the first pair, I wore the soles flat, like slick tires! I have had this boot for two years, and only wear it to ride my Harley. I'm in Utah, so its a short riding season. Well, the leather has separated from the sole on the right foot, inside by the ball of the foot. The only time these have maybe gotten wet would be when washing the bike as we get no rain during the summer. I still have a lot of tread on these and still on the original laces. I'm going to have to look for a different style or brand.

I had the same boot that was quite comfortable and true to size so I decided to order another pair. My old boot was made in Vietnam and this pair in China. The new pair is much wider and larger overall...very disappointing.

I purchased these boots trusting lots of good reviews for them but I'm disappointed, especially after owning them for couple of months. I first purchased size 7 and exchanged to size 7.5. Size 7 was too tight but 7.5 is uncomfortably lose fitting. My feet do not feel comfortable in them at all. These boots do not look as good in person either. I do not recommend buying these boots at all. The only good thing about these boots is cheaper price than other waterproof boots but they don't even worth that price. These boots are just very cheaply made and constructed. Spend a little more and avoid these.

Ordered a 13. I wear a this size in everything from work boots to dress shoes. These felt like they were 15's and narrow.

I wanted to like these. I am a dyed in the wool Timberland fan. I just stepped out of a pair of Goretex Tims that I have had for at least five years. Unfortunately, these just did not have the same fit that I am used to in Tims - and even more surprising that I bought them in wide. After less than a day of walking in them, the top side, left boot, at the hinge in my step began to pinch and cause discomfort. And on the right foot, at the same area, a crease was already forming in the leather. I was very surprised, especially in light of all the positive five star reviews these boots have. Anyway, thanks to Zappos for allowing me to return them after wearing and exchange them for different boots.

The boots do repel water and the fit is good. I do have issue with boot which may go away as they break in. The right boot pushes down on the top of my foot as it flexes. I had a blister which burst and was bleeding by the time I returned from my hike. So far I have been able to use these boots only by using a band-aid on the foot.
