Read the reviews & believe them. My husband was resistant to me buying shoes online. He thought it was ludicrous to even attempt it, but Zappo's makes it so easy with no cost to us. That being said, the boots were an exact fit, just from believing the reviews. No break in time. He loves them & I love them because there is some sort of shield around the tongue. His other shoes would let the fine dirt in everyday which caused me to have to soak all his socks every time I did laundry to get the dirt out. This "shield" keeps the fine dirt out. An aside, I bought him two pair of boots at the same time that day from Zappos & the other pair was a different size (from trusting the reviews). He could not believe I found him 2 pair of shoes hat both fit, sight unseen! He is now a believer.

I have owner these boots in size 12 W for 3 or more years, I drive off-road trails with my Jeep and abuse these boots in all weather conditions - they hold up great and keep my feet dry. I am ordering another pair, one size up, so I can wear innersoles and thicker socks for colder conditions.

Bought these for my 16-year-old son. He raves about them. Says they are the most comfortable shoes he's had. Wears them hiking and working.

I ordered these boots for a dear friend who wears a size 14 wide shoe. I took the chance, hoping they would fit. It turns out that they were perfect the minute he put them on. Oh wow where to start. I have to give kudos to Zappos customer service I had to make a exchange and it went flawlessly and I received the exchange pair the very next day! Thank You Tabitha S. These boots are exactly what I was looking for. The fit was spot on I had to sent back a pair that said was my size but a whole size smaller it felt like. The Timberlands are great right out of the box. I will buy these again, AND from Zappos!

Very stylish and comfortable. Great looking with your favorite jeans. You will have these a long time! As always, Zappos is the Mac Daddy when it comes to online shopping. I don't see how they do it!

I bought these for an Alaskan cruise and thereafter. They performed perfectly. My feet were comfortable, warm and dry the entire trip. I walked quit a bit with complete comfort. Thanks to Timberland and Zappos. I would definitely buy them again and I would buy them from Zappos. Happy happy. Joy joy.

So comfortable out of the box, didn't need to break in. Bought extra wide, and it fits perfectly. Stayed dry despite being muddy and wet on outside, right up to the hilt. Worth every penny. Maybe needs slightly better arch support.

I had this same shoe 10 or more years ago, liked it a lot, and bought them again. I use these boots for motorcycle riding. Good ankle support and protection, full leather uppers. They break in easy and are comfortable to wear all day every day.

I got the EE width and they are a true EE. Very comfortable, stylish, and well-made. They're also surprisingly light in weight. I love them.

These boots became a surprise "go-to" boot in my daily life. I am a female, and bought the size 7 men's boot with the intention of only using them for a welding class. (I wear a size 9 in women's shoes.) Surprisingly, I wound up wearing them almost daily when I injured my ankle tumbling down the stairs wearing high heels (torn ligament and chip fracture). I found that wearing the aircast on my ankle, then putting on these boots really helped my ankle stabilize while I was going through 5 months of physical therapy. After my ankle healed, when winter hit, I found them to be an excellent, stable snow-boot with excellent traction. And in spring and summer and fall, I wore them all the time for yard work. I am now ordering my second pair, as the first pair has given me 3 years of constant, comfortable, supportive service. I am glad that they still make these!

I bought these for my husband. He loves them. They were comfortable from the start. They were bought for doing outside tasks like snow removal and also for taking our daily walks in the winter. Plus they look so nice with casual pants, such as jeans or corduroys, that he even likes to wear them to do our errands when the sidewalks and parking lots are still slushy. Great product.

I loved these boots and I'm back to get another pair in preparation for a long distance hike. Last pair was a gift and I found them to be comfortable with no noticeable break in (I stated these felt "pre-broken in"). Comfortable standing, bending and walking all day at work. Was waterproof when new and only recently seems to be leaking when standing in water. My boots usually last me 6-9 months before having an obvious side blow out but these are NOT falling apart after 14 months of hard, almost daily use (10 hour on your feet work days and many miles of weekend hiking). Seemed true to size on my hard to fit feet (15W but varies by mfg. from 15-16, EE-EEE). I'm getting another pair, and since they lasted ME "a good year" I have to rate them "Highly Recommended by Boot Abuser Bob".

Good boots. I find the size of a shoe or boot is really a bit different for every manufacturer. So I chose a half size bigger than normal since I'd be wearing with a heavy sock. I'm very happy with them. I did add a Dr. Scholls sport cushion to them, which made them even better. I wish they were able to be resoled.

I bought these for my partner as an all-around utility boot & he absolutely loves them! We spend long days working in a kitchen & these keep his feet dry, protected, slip-free, and comfortable. He has stopped wearing sneakers entirely. The only issue was the first pair he tried on was too big, but ordering a half-size down seemed to solve the problem.

Buying my third pair now. The last two pairs had more miles than I can count and always served me well. Even wearing current pair down through the black outer sole they are still comfortable for everyday use and long hikes. Once I had a problem with a hole but super glued it back and they were perfectly waterproof again. A lot more breathable than you would expect from water proof boots. Just buy them already, you won't be disappointed.

Buying boots online is hard. However, once you find them, they're great. My first purchase through Zappos was excellent. Bought two sizes and one was perfect. This boot is excellent for my daily outdoor yard activities. I did coat them with a sealant just to help with water. Comfortable, sized right, what more do you need.

Great all purpose boots. I have worn them during construction work, now I wear them walking through snow and rain to catch the train. Will keep buying these boots. Feet stay dry.

Great boot, I had to get the larger size (I am 10.5 or 11). They are warm, keep my feet dry, and are lightweight. They look reasonably good (I didn't but them for fashion) and the laces stay tied...this is perhaps the most underrated but important aspect of a boot.

Excellent lower cut boot. No break in at all. Great traction. Only note is the laces are very long, so that there is lots of extra to deal with after tying them. In this harsh Philadelpha PA winter these have been lifesavers.

Great boot, fits true to size. Comfortable right out of the box straight to a 2 hour hike. Looks reminiscent of the original hiking boots that first became a style icon. Classic, looking with modern insulation upgrades!

I bought these for a trip to Iceland in the winter and they did not disappoint. The main selling points to me was the heavy traction and waterproofing, and both worked very well. I went trekking through fresh 1ft high snow for an hour, and while my feet did get cold they did stay dry. The traction was great for everything but slick ice, but any shoe will have trouble with that. I did end up getting them a half size larger due to stock availability, but it ended up working in my favor since I was wearing extra thick wool socks that filled them up. Overall, these are great boots!

My new boots are the bomb! They are the most comfortable light weight pair of boots that I have ever owned. These are a must have for anyone who wants their feet to stay warm in the winter. I am so happy my Mama bought them for me. She owns a pair too and was tired of me wearing hers all the time. Now that I have my own Timberlands, I will always keep a pair in my closet.
