I have been buying these boots for the last ten years. I use the boots almost daily. They normally last me about 3yrs. The sole either wears out or after heavy usage the leather will eventually Crack. I replace the insole insert due to foot injury. They are comfortable and light to wear. Most of all they are price well. I highly recommend these hiking boots.

Yet to text in the mucky wids of Washington State. As with all TL boots, they should be durable.

I loved my first pair so much that when they started to show signs of wear, I bought my second pair, The second pair were half an inch narrower than the first. Way too tight. So now I don't know what size to get. Customer service wasn't too helpful in figuring out what size to get now.

I ended up returning these shoes. The fit was good and I thought it was a handsome shoe but the the ankles are quite (over) padded and I prefer the thickness to be consistent all the way up. As it was, they felt awkward to me. That said, Zappos is great with service including returns and I would definitely buy from them again as I have in the past.

For what it's worth, I found teh Mt. Maddsen to be a better fit for my tastes.

These boots are the most comfortable footwear I have owned. They replaced the same model from 2006 than have been in the river, snow and dusty trails. They lasted over 16 years and many miles. I am glad to get the same pair that are just as comfortable as my first. I was able to recycle the old pair through Timberland.

These boots fit true to size. Wide feet are really flat feet that need a wide profile, but it still needs arch support and these boots are supportive from foot bed to upper ankle, while boosting soft upper leather for comfort and flexibility. Must treat leather regularly to avoid cracking.

I bought this boots mainly for hiking but I've also used them in the snow and they worked great too since they're waterproof. I'm usually a size 9 but I decided to get 8.5 based on my experience with other Timberland shoes I own. They fit well but they feel a bit tight if I wear them with thick socks. I would probably recommend going for your usual size with these ones. I definitely recommend them!

Just purchased them a month ago. I find putting them on is easy, and I love that they are waterproof. Will let you know if I have any cons as time goes on.

I bought the (brown) hiking boots because I wanted something nice looking and comfortable to wear when working around the house. They were $60 cheaper than a steel toe work boot. I also bought these boots because the work boots I bought were very comfortable. The only down side was they do feel damp and cold inside the shoe when wet. I don't know if the inside is actually wet, but it radiates the cold from the outside. It's still a nice boot and I'd buy again. Nice to find a wide shoe in my size #SWEEPSTAKES

Since my first pair of Newman 1973s I have been a huge Timberland fan. My Mt Maddsens were feeling too snug after a couple hours of hiking so I ordered a size larger. To get the free shipping I ordered my White Ledges as well. I unboxed them both and actually said of the White Ledges "These are going back", as they felt boxy and odd when I slid my foot in. Suffice it to say they are now my go to boot in most cases. The Newmans were unavailable so I 'settled' for two pair of Sawyer Lanes. These are midweight waterproof chukkas that double as dress boots. They sport a no-nonsense, oil-resistant type work sole, but I have worn them to the nubs smiling all the way. I have multiple new boots in boxes (many brands) because I know certain styles go out of production, out of stock or are redesigned out of my taste/preference. Keep Booting it.
