The worst fitting shoe in my life! Bed of shoe comfy but heel caused extreme pain blister bleeding.... with socks! Never encountered on any other shoe in my life be wary!

I usually wear a women's size 8 in Converse so I ordered accordingly. These shoes were way too big -- the 8 fit my relative who wears a 9-9.5. The shoe itself was fine, although the quality of the stitching was not great given the high cost and the leather seemed a bit worn. I returned them and decided to purchase the canvas Jack Purcell's.

I bought these to replace my worn out grey Chucks, which I loved. Unfortunately, these shoes are not a good replacement - they are extremely preppy. They would be great for yachting, a nice game of croquet, or hanging out with your in-laws in Cape Cod. They just don't have much versatility if you want to do anything else. On the plus side, they have a nice comfortable foot bed that the Chucks don't have. But, my toes are much more squished and with all the rubber, stretching isn't a possibility.

This is my third pair of black leather Jack Purcell's. I didn't notice until they arrived but the quality has dropped. The leather is thinner. The older pairs were black on the inside and had black rubber soles, which visually looks better than having tan appearing. It also had "Jack Purcell labeled on the flap and now it's plain. The inside also now has the name of the shoe printed on vs. before they had a tag sewn into the heel.

These shoes fit me when I tried them on. However, the first time that I wore them (with socks), I walked about three blocks, and they were unbearably uncomfortable, cutting into my heel at the top edge. I have never been able to put them back on again, and Zappos will not take as a return.

I've loved Converse since middle school, and I've wanted this exact pair for years. I finally got off my wallet and ordered a pair after my Vans kicked it (I keep wearing holes in the TOPS). Anyway, they felt very good - good and broken in like a pair you've owned for years with about as much arch support you can expect from Converse. There was only one problem; they aren't white. The leather upper is off white--more of a cream color. The laces and rubber are bright, pure white, but the leather is not as pictured. Huge disappointment. Will be returning. Probably won't use Zappos again.

I had a black leather pair almost 2 years ago. Best casual sneakers I've ever had in my entire life. Best! The leather could have lasted a decade but the soles completely blew out after 18 months of heavy use. So, I go to buy another pair, I decide to go with white this time around. The shoe is totally different. It doesn't fit the same, the tongue doesn't have the little "jack purcell" tag, the laces don't have the cool metal ends. I had to return them. I could've lived with the absence to detail, but not the change in fit, comfort and quality. C'mon Converse. Jack's probably rolling over in his grave.
