This boot rocks! Good looking, stylish, a more than adequate sole and heel though I did take the precaution of putting a Vibram protector on the sole. It looks so elegant as a dress shoe...the cuff of the pants breaks just right.

The Florsheim Chatman was a gift to my husband. He really likes the style and fit. The 3E fits like his normal D width. He wears them all day with no problem. I would highly recommend this boot to other guys. The Florsheim Chatman is an awesome boot! As always, thank you, Zappos, for your exceptional customer service!

Quality counts as well as service. I have been a Florsheim customer for the past fifty five years and I was always satisfied with the footwear that is until the most recent purchase. For some reason there was a "click" every time that I wore them? I informed the service/customer department. And they were very professional and directed me to send them back and they would send me a new pair. And that they did, in a couple of days they were on my feet and I was wearing them and have had NO problems what so ever. The mystery of why they CLICKED the way that they did is still a mystery? (I highly recommend this product to any one that wants a great pair of shoes.)

Florsheim Chatman Review- Great looking, good fit (actually cut a little larger than other brands). Very comfortable but not a walking shoe.

2 thumbs up for Zappos - I originally bought the Florsheim Duke, but the heel was too high. So, I returned it and exchanged it with the Chatman(with absolutely no problems) and Zappos it to me 2nd day air! Fit wise, I actually like the duke better, my feet felt snug and didn't lift like the Chatman. I'll have to think of something to keep my heel from lifting (moleskin) and it felt a little stiffer than the Duke. The duke felt broken in, and very comfortable. But all in all, I like it. Very stylish.

Great boot, looks and fits very nice, the source of many compliments. I did buy it a bit big on the advice of others. Also Zappos is great I recieved them and another pair of boots the evening after I orderd them.

Pleased to find Florsheim demi-boots still available - For 30 years I have purchased Florsheim Imperial dress shoes and demi-boots. I have gotten a very long life out of all my shoes, and enjoyed their comfort, appearance, and arch support. They have been an excellent value for the money. I was concerned when my local Florsheim store in the mall closed, and I heard that this zippered demi-boot style would not be made anymore. I was very pleased to find that I could order them at a lower cost than I had ever paid with excellent service and fast shipment from Zappo's. (P.S. My 14-year-old son also liked the style, and borrowed them for his junior high prom)

18 year Florsheim customer - I have short, wide feet (8EEE) and have always found it difficult to find shoes to fit. Florsheim seems to have the design which best fits my feet. I enjoy wearing boots at work (I sit much of the time, but must walk as well.) and this is my third or fourth pair. Florsheim discontinued my preferred style, the Richmont, a while ago. The left still required stretching to be wide enough, but they are feeling comfortable now. I like the narrow top on these with less tendency to hang pant legs. The style is classy, but conservative and the heel is not too high.

Chatman Review - I've bought Florsheim shoes for many years. This shoe is exactly as advertised. The look is fabulous. The fit and comfort are better than expected. I'm extremely well pleased.

Florsheim Chatman - For support and dance comfort, this leather soled shoe has it.

Florsheim's chatman - Great boot, looks well whether your dressing up or down. This boot is defintely a classic in every sense of the word. I'll always recall looking at this boot when I was growing up in the big apple, looking in a Florsheim's window on 42 st, I liked it then, but now I'am loving it.

Fast and Easy - We were very pleased with the shoes we purchased and delivery was 2 days!, It's difficult to find A 3E width shoe in any of the stores we visited and also hard to find exactly what we wanted. It's so fast and easy.

Chatman - Nice boot, ordered the Nunn Bush Bristol at the same time and liked the fit of this one better. The Nunn Bush was REALLY tight. This one slipped on real smooth. It's pretty comfortable and looks good with jeans. I decided to keep this pair and the return of the other was really easy, I'll definitely order from here again

Florsheim Chatman Zipper-Boot - This boot is outstanding. I have a high arch and these give me the support I need. Comfortable, beatiful, and they felt "broken in" straight from the box. A lot of zipper boots don't go high enough for my taste, but these are just right. Highly recommended, one heck of a boot for any dress situation- from jeans to a suit.

Florsheim Chatman - My son was very pleased with the boot. They were comfortable from the moment he put them on. Very stylish also.

Great - Had 2 pairs over 15 years - fantastic boot. I did 10 years on the road through all kinds of bad weather. Best boot I ever owned. Very hard to find. Now I know where to buy them.

Great Boots at a Great Price - The Florsheim Chatman is a great dress boot costing up to several hundred dollars less than other dress boots. I rated them 5 stars overall and on look, but only 4 stars on comfort. The reason? I wear orthotics (custom insoles) and the Florsheim Chatman isn't as comfortable with the orthotics in place. Other than that, a great pair of boots.

Too Tight! I ordered a EEE and still to tight. These boots run small.

First time shopper - good dress boot, leather stretches so get 0.5 size smaller than your gym shoes. after 2 wks, the fit will be perfect. the sole is slippery, may require some attention from a shoe doctor.

Very nice shoe - Very nice shoe. VERY slippery sole. A real dress shoe slipperiness that I was not used to or ready for. Also, if one's upper ankle/lower calf is thick, the shoe is difficult to close and it kind of bunches up a little when closed. Watch out for that. But overall, I am very happy with them.

They are just enough too narrow that you don't want to return them, but not wear them often. A real shame.
