I needed wide bad weather boots and these are them! They fits great, even with thick socks, and they are really comfortable.

Now that winter has passed I did enjoy these boots moving about while going from house to car and work to car. My short steps and cold car starts where fine. They are light enough to wear all day at work. I did not attempt to spend hours outside shoveling deep snow in them; I did not buy them for that. I would recommend these boots for moderate cold/snowy conditions.

Probably the most uncomfortable boot I ever owned, the top hook broke within the 1st wk., 7 of the lace grommets have fallen out. The soul was falling apart within 7 months. They did keep my feet dry.
I'd also recommend:
anything but these.

These just aren't quite wide enough in the toe box to be marked 5E. It's a shame because they seem like great boots otherwise.

These boots are not wide enough and will hurt and give you blisters if you have wide feet.

I was disappointed in the boots. I ordered a 9.5 5E boots. The box was marked 9.5 5E. There were no size marks on the boots.. but the boots felt like they were D width (at most). I need extra wide shoes for my orthotics. It seemed like the boots weren’t wide enough for my orthotics. I returned the boots. The boots looked good. If the had fit I would have kept them.

While the shoes looked nice, they were too narrow. This was surprising, because I ordered a 5E width. It was very difficult to install my orthotics in the shoes. When installed, the orthotics seem to curl up on the sides, like the shoes were too narrow. I couldn't find any size markings on the boots, so I can't tell if the boots were the size that was written on the box.

Shoe fits true to size. It could use more insulation for warmth and more cushioning for comfort.

Boot felt about a half size to small. Could be just the brand. Feels to stiff. Other wise a well made boot. Going to return.

I purchased these in both a size 8.5 3E and 8.5 5E. I am a woman and I wear an 8.54E in Nike and Asics running shoes and in Dunham hiking boots. I intended to choose the one with the best width.
Unfortunately neither worked for me, because I need a deep toe box and to wear my orthotics, and the toe area felt very uncomfortable for me. Perhaps this is because of the rubber protective toe -- I normally wear a soft leather or woven material.
I also found it strange that when held sole to sole, I could not see any difference in width in the two widths. The length was about a half size longer than a Dunham boot.
Zappo's was fantastic at helping me and I will stay with my Dunham clouds for winter and add wool socks and a gaiter over the top if dealing with deep snow. These shoes have received very favorable reviews but I would say if you have hammertoe issue to avoid them.
I'd also recommend:
Dunham, Drew, Nike, Asics, Birkenstock

The major complaints are 2; the boots are very stiff, no forward bend at the ankle even after repeated wearings and that the speed lace hooks are not firmly attached and rotate as you lace and tighten the laces. Returned the first pair 8-EEE because were too short and narrow even though marked 8-EEE reordered a 1/2 size longer.
I'd also recommend:
LL Bean if you don't need EEE

I have bought these shoes about 8 months ago. They are in total shambles now. After about 30-45 days the sides split where the rubber meets the leather. Very glad I could find a shoe wide enough to fit my feet. Disappointed with the craftsmanship.

The only Propet product I've ever been disappointed in. Normally I just order my size and they fit great. These are too small in length and width. So forget thick socks.

Sent the boots back. Very stiff and hard sole. If you want that, get them.

The good: 5E fits. The bad: These shoes are falling apart after barely three months on the job. The soles are coming unglued and the seam on the top has totally opened, making a funnel for sand and white hot weld spatter to enter the boots. Very disappointing compared to the Chippewa boots which have lasted three years, but are not available in 5E width. I also bought a pair of Drew, which are wide enough, but the tongue is not leather, so it is a perfect magnet for foxtails and thistles, worthless for work or for hiking on anything but cleared trails.
I'd also recommend:
Chippewa

Returned after trying them on. These boots did not fit in any regard. Size was too big, width (D) too narrow. So tight around the ankle as to hinder walking. I could tell as soon as I put them on that they were cheaply made blister makers. These are the boots you'd pay $30 for at walmart - and then return.

These are really nice boots. They look great, are totally waterproof, rugged, and very comfortable. The size I picked was a bit too narrow for me, probably because I walk barefoot almost all of the time (I live in the tropics).

Fit and size were fine, warm and waterproof, but don't buy this. There's a seam on the back, just above the heel, where the black ridged part connects to the leather part. This seem causes blisters after a few miles of walking.
