One of the boot hooks on my Timberland boots is and has been loose since I received them. I thought about returning them, but according to some of your reviewers they say that they put in complaints, but you guys never respond. Is that a proper way to treat your customers? It makes me wonder if i should by from your company again is it the staff that isn't doing their job on the complaints or is it the company president that's not doing his or hers? sincerely me.

Usually wear 8 1/2 but felt a little tight. Returned and got size 9. Fits OK, not as comfortable as my good hiking boots, but for the price and these are only for working around the house. I'm retired with a long list of projects to finish in and around the house but if I was working full time in construction or in the field, I would get a better boot to wear all day long.

I use these in a warehouse environment and most of the time I am walking. I thought they would be comfortable but the insoles from them did not last my shift. I got them because I like how they look and they'll last. I would recommend they improve the insoles to be more comfortable.

I use these in a warehouse environment. Obviously they aren't steel toe but that's because we can't wear those. At first they felt comfortable but the insoles didn't help enough after my 8hr shift. My main concern were the insoles which is why I bought some new ones from Dr. Schouls for work boots. So far they feel better than the ones that came with the boots. I love the oil and slip resistant on them. I step on water almost frequently and they hold up.

I got scuffs on them the first day so they don't hold up aesthetically at all. I was in desperate need of a new pair to replace what I had, would not buy again or recommend especially if you're on concrete alot. Will purchse insoles, hopefullly they help.

This shoe is very good quality but I barely used them and one of the rings the laces at the top go through broke. I see other people had this problem. Other than that they are pretty good

Not sturdy enough for a work boot so I wanted them for a daily shoe but they were way too narrow. It's too bad because I really like the look

So, I'm a very big fan of how Timberlands look.. However, as a work boot, these leave much to be desired. The steel toe is well built and well worked into the shoe. These are pretty heavy shoes though. And they get dirty QUICKLY. Much quicker than the time it takes to clean and dry them... But these only lasted 8 months before the side burst on one of the shoes. I won't buy again but I primarily work outside...if you're in an environment where you can keep them clean and need steel toes, these are for you.

Looks and feels like a tough boot. Ordered these online like I normally do, when I tried them on at home they felt a size too small. Maybe they needed to be broke in but I couldn't handle the discomfort to do so. Will be sticking with the Valor 8 Pro series.

I'm a commercial flooring mechanic. They were a half size too small for me. Shredded my feet after 1 day of use. I sent them back and will be trying them in a bigger size. Timberland customer service is excellent and will always work with you

The pit boss 6 is a well constructed boot. They were very uncomfortable to me because they are not true to size. I'm usually 10.5 but these felt about a half size too small. They shredded my feet after 1 day of use. I sent them back and will be ordering them again in size 11. Timberland customer service is excellent and will always work with you.

I have been buying Tim's Pit Boss for years (about 12 pairs). They are a great boot that will wear out on the toes in about a year. I spend a lot of time kneeling on concrete so that is to be expected. The last pair wore a hole in the toe after only 2 months. After contacting customer service they want me send send the boots back to them for inspection. I sent them pictures of the damage to no avail. Now I will be without boots until they decide they were inferior material. Found out they are made in the Dominican Republic. Sorry Timberland - I am disappointed

These boots are durable and well constructed but they rub my Achilles raw. Ive added mole skin and tried everything I can but even after breaking in its still the same issue.

I take either 11.5 W or 12 W in other shoes. Tried both sizes and even the size 12 was too tight around the toes. The steel toe piece seems to be significantly narrower than the rest of the shoe.

One boot felt great, the other boot had a spot that pressed into the back of the heel, it would have been intolerable if I had to wear them.
I'd also recommend:

After only 3 weeks the boots started squacking (squeaking with a quack). Actually, only the right boot is calling out to all the ducks making me sound like Quasimodo at Madison Square Garden. Aside from the embarrassing racket that is made when I approach, they are one of the most comfortable pair of boots I have owned that I will never buy again.

I bought these as work boots. There is a lot to like about them, but I had 2 problems the first time I wore them. Maybe I just got a bad pair. The shoelace goes through 3 pairs of holes then a pair of loops then 2 pairs of hooks at the top. The first day of wearing them, one of the loops pulled out from where it was attached. I can wear it, but have to skip the loops when lacing it up and it doesn't match the other shoe. The second problem is that part of the rubber or plastic sole was not cut off properly. Inside the right boot there is an edge that is about 1/16" wide and 3" long that presses into the outside edge of the sole of my foot. It is very uncomfortable. It isn't an issue of not having the right size...they fit great otherwise. I think I can have a cobbler fix both problems, but you wouldn't think you would have to have a brand new pair of shoes repaired. By the time the shoelace loop broke and I realized the issue with the sole in one of them, I had used them for half a day and they were covered in mud and I didn't feel like I could return them. Otherwise I really like them. Solid construction, comfortable, good looking. I think once I have the problems fixed, they will serve me well for a long time.

These boots have a weak foundation plate. After only 3 months of wear, they began to squeak because the "plate" broke or tore. I took them to a shoe repair, but they could do nothing about it since it was the "bones" of the boot. This squeaking is extremely annoying and embarrassing because it is so loud. I contacted Timberline, but they would do nothing to help me fix it or discount another pair. I'm not impressed with their customer service at all. If you buy something from them, be prepared to deal with any problems on your own.

Recently bought low T-land Pros w/ black soles and they are really comfortable under my feet. The 6" T-land Pro's that I just bought last week have a much harder insole.

Nearly as soon as I purchased these boots, the right side developed a squeak whenever my foot would flex. It's annoying to say the least. The soles have also developed cracks where my foot flexes along with cracks in the canvas along the top of the boot where they are stitched to the lace eyelets. Also, after a couple of years one of the laces broke, but that's probably more on me than anything else. All that being said, I would purchase these again because they look good even when they're dirty and they're comfortable enough.

I purchased a pair of these work boots over 9 months ago and they've certainly done a solid job of protection my toes, but they wear out WAY too quickly. My soles have worn out rather quickly and the inner sole has developed holes and rough spots which irritate me feet. Overall these are a decent pair of work boots, but I would recommend going with a better, more expensive pair which will hopefully last you longer.
