Very nicely made boot. However, not very comfortable. the front few inches are like any steel toe I guess and very uncomfortable. It feels like your toes are just in a metal box. The rest of the shoe is good and the quality is great but I will try another brand next time looking for more comfort.

So far so good, they are worth the price, for the comfort they give. It would be very difficult to go to an infirior comfort. I recommended them.

The comfort factor with these boots seems to be "hit or miss". The first pair he had rubbed the back of his heels and just never really felt broken in even after they were worn to the point of falling apart. These boots have all of the job site safety requirements though, and he needed new boots quickly so we repurchased these. First day out of the box and he says they are awesome. No pain of any kind. He's had them on for 12 hours and says he could keep going, no problem. Good sturdy boot, but it may or may not be comfortable. I would recommend wearing them inside for a while before tossing the box.

The boot is definitely wider than you'd expect; wear thick socks. The toe is nice and roomy. I suggest buying the same size you wear in sneakers (so if you wear a 15 sneaker, instead of a 14 boot, get a 15) and putting an insole in; the regular insole is pretty rough on the feet after a day of work. Of course Zappos always has the best service.

I am a chef and I have not found a better pair of boots for the kitchen than these. The top quality of these boots is how little I slip in them even when hustling over spilled grease on a tile floor. I find 1 pair lasts me about a year of 70 hours a week abuse.

I bought these boots for my husband who recently had knee surgery and also at times has to run a route truck in all types of weather conditions. I came upon this boot that gives him comfort all day long, these boots have actually helped the slight limp he had after surgery, he really likes the fact that his feet do not get cold or tired at the end of the day. I definitely recommend these boots!

Good (not great) boots. They're a bit tight in the toe box. A thinner pair of socks helped but they're still snugger than I'd like. They fit perfectly everywhere else. Still, good boots. This review is for the Gaucho Oiled Full-Grain Leather. I also got the Wheat Nubuck Leather and those seem like they came from a different factory. Much more impressed with those.

The toe box was a little narrow for the size and being steel is not likely to "break in" so I bought a half size larger. Not so much too small to get the larger width. The larger size seems fine.

Fit is good, a little tougher to break in than most Timberland boots. After a couple weeks of hobbling around they are comfy. Hopefully they last.

I picked out a couple pairs of boots online, called a rep and discussed the differences. Settled on the Timberland Pro 6 steel toe. The boots fit well, true to size, my toes do not rub and I like them. You can tell the phone reps actually enjoy talking to you and will take the time to review different products to help you make your decision. This experience has changed the way I will buy boots/sneakers in the future. Zappos baby!

These are pretty rugged boots. They're a bit on the heavy side, but the protection they provide is good. They don't breathe that well which makes wearing them for long period uncomfortable, but it is in line with other boots of this style I've worn.

These boots are great. They are extremely comfortable. The sizes are accurate. Only thing I don't like is that the steel toe scratches quite easily but they are meant to be used as work boots.

Great boots and the fastest delivery ever! My old soft toe Timberland had more than run their course, so I decided to upgrade to a steel toe. At work I spend most of my time on my feet, offloading tractor trailers so I needed something that could protect my feet and were comfortable, too. I couldn't have ordered anything better! I placed my order on a Wednesday night and the boots arrived around lunch time the very next day! Zappos always comes through with the fastest delivery!

My husband loves Timberland boots. However, this is the first time that he had them that they weren't comfortable from the first time he put them on. On his right ankle there is a support that rubs, and has chaffed so much it has made it raw. He doesn't want to give up the shoes, so he has bent the support away from his ankle so he can continue to wear the boots.

Good for casual use - Great shoe really comfortable but, I work construction and need a more robust shoe. They've been in duty for 3 weeks and I can already see some major wear and tear.

Great for steel toe requirement - Must have steel toe for work, so far these shoes are comfortable, fit well. Price right. Always go for a wider size with steel toe.

Decent enough boot - I bought this boot based on the reviews attesting to its comfort. It's a decent boot but not nearly as comfortable as Dr. Martens, it’s also not nearly as expensive as docs. While they are comfortable enough and don't hurt my feet I probably would not buy them again. I will try some different insoles to help them. The real drawback was the 2 weeks it took to break them in, didn't wear them every day during break in. I would recommend them but if you want a real comfortable boot try Dr. Martens.

This is my first pair of the Pit Boss, and if I had the money, I'd buy a second pair! The break in time was minimal. For me it took 3 to 7 days to break in!! Much more comfortable than my last pair of work boots!!

Pretty good work boot - Part of the construction of the boot jams right into the arch of your foot. Works pretty good for 1/2 days only at first, then gets a little better for the whole day once they get worn in a bit.

Work boot - Once boot is broken in, these are great boots. Painful breaking in process for wide feet people, especially by the bridge of your feet and heel.

Timberland steel toes the only way to go - I need steel toed boots that are rugged for work. These boots look good and can provide the toughness I require. My only complaint(not really) is that they seem a little narrow, and I have pretty narrow feet, so even for me they were a tad tight, but overall good.

Sturdy work boot - I have only had these boots for a few weeks, but they seem well built. I have not yet put inserts in them, as I have many other new work boots, because they are comfortable without them. They are a very stiff boot, and I still don't consider them broken in yet. The ankle area is the only uncomfortable place, but I think that is because they aren't broken in. I have also had several pieces of slag from a cutting torch get into them (somehow) near the toe area. I can only assume it is coming in near the base of the tongue. Other than that I like these boots lots.

Good work boot - This is a very nice work boot. Although I usually order a 12, Due to the steel toe, it felt a little short. I ended up with a 13 because it doesn't come in 1/2 sizes. Otherwise it is a comfortable work shoe.

Nice boots, still a little too narrow in the toe box - I like these boots, although having just gotten them I've only worn them in the house. I think I'll keep them, 'tho, and wear them on the job tomorrow. My toes must be splayed, because that's the only place I feel any tightness at all - but it's not bad.
