Steel toe housing rubs on toes -
I have a large foot, size 15. I needed steel toe boots for employment, I found these boots to rub on my big toes(inside) where the housing of the steel toe ends and the regular leather begins. I don't know if it's because of the larger size of the boot. I am hoping that the shoe breaks in more and can become more flexible and possibly eliminate this problem. If it wasn't for this problem, I would have given it more stars.

Not at all what I expected from Timberland!!
I had purchased these back in Jan.'05 and returned them a few weeks later. I had intended on purchasing another pair of Wolverines, but the particular style that has been very loyal to me had been discontinued. After searching the website for something comparable, I decided on these. I thought the name had a good reputation, so I gave them a shot. They were not very comfortable out of the box and the first time I wore them in the snow, my feet were absolutely soaked. Zappos is the best and let me trade these back for the last pair of Wolverines, in my size & style that they had!!

Poor quality -
I bought Timberland PRO boots for about 5 years, always loving their comfort and quality. However the last two pairs I bought, though fairly comfortable, fell apart in about 6 months. The soles separated from the boot, the leather cracked. For anyone interested in good work boots I HIGHLY suggest Wolverine. They are more comfortable and last MUCH longer.

I never write reviews, but felt I must -- bought it for my husband, who is a contractor, on his feet all day long. He hates this boot. His foot is wide, but this boot (even the wide) is cut narrow in the toe box, terrible! It also runs extremely small. He needed a full size and a half larger to even fit into. Plus, for the working man, why on earth would they make a work boot with lace holes all the way to the top, instead of the lace hooks? Much more work to put on and take off, plus, if the eaglets get frayed at all, you can forget getting them through the top holes. Not a well-thought-out boot and definitely not for a working man!

I had to send 2 pairs of these boots back for warranty coverage. Each pair was less than 6 months old and very lightly used. The first pair had stitching pulling apart. The second pair was not waterproof as advertised. The quality of Timberland shoes have significantly declined in recent years. They honored each warranty with not problem, but I had to pay for shipping their defective boot to them. The rubber sole wears out easy, and the boots scuff and scrape easier than most higher quality brands. I will not be buying another pair of Timberland boots again. If you want a boot to work as advertised, I would try another brand.

These are some really great boots. I was kind of unsure what to expect buying them because I thought Timberlands were just fashion boots, but have recently heard otherwise. So I gave it a try, and these are seriously some of the comfiest boots I've ever worn. They're pretty sturdy too, and without feeling like I'm wearing ankle weights like most steel-toes I've had.

As a bread and butter boot for work it's the best you can get. But I have wide feet and the wide size still doesn't fit comfortably so i have to go up a half size to wear them and then it's like wearing clown shoes. I love the boots , i love the soles and insoles very very comfortable and good for all day use, but please for the love of god make a double wide boot i cant be the only guy with wide feet! Help me out here.

I wear these to work around our iron grinding plant. I chose these, as I was looking for a plain work boot with a steel toe. Once they're on, they are good boots, waterproof and comfortable. However, they have eyelets, rather than hooks going up the ankle, so they take a long time to lace up and unlace. For that reason only, I would not get them again.

Used for walking all day (city sightseeing), especially in cold and/or wet weather. So comfortable from day 1! No break in needed whatsoever. Haven't been able to test in warmer weather yet. Nothing else to add: just wonderful pleasure!

On my feet all day, went with a size bigger and a wider toe box. I do add my own Dr Scholls inserts for all being on my feet on concrete all day.

I wear my boots daily for work as well as on the weekends. They are durable and comfortable and have protected by feet from several worksite incidents.

My first timberland boots was the 6" wheat in High school. Now, that I am older and working my choice is the 8" pro steel toe work boots. The photos that I'm sharing is the pair that I've used for over 2 years, and honestly I could have worn it longer because they've shown no signs of separation from the bottom sole to the uppers. Right out of the box they were comfortable. As time went by, the inside of the boot became softer making it feel like my feet were blanketed with soft pillows. I have worn them again and again for 8-12hr shifts with no issues. The steel toe is stiff and solid as it should be to protect you, and every other part of the boot bends just enough so it's not uncomfortable while reaching down or working on your knees. This pair has been time and battle tested! No matter how tough the challenge is for the day, these boots never let me down. They are not only functional but stylish as well. Try them on for yourself and you'll see why they are my Go-to for 20 years strong. Lastly, here is my fresh pair. #timberlandtough #SWEEPSTAKES

I like the boots because they're comfortable & the heels don't hurt your feet like how the regular Tim's heels does after it's runs down

Always a supporter of timberland. Great company quality product. Didn't have the dark brown in my work boots so I just oiled them up to get the darker brown. Love them can't go wrong with buying timberland.

On my feet all night on the concrete dock at work. These boots are very comfortable, the 400g of insulation keep my feet warm during the winter. My feet don't feel tired or sore at the end of shift.
