These have been great spring/summer mountaineering boots for the past 4-5 seasons. They're comfortable, waterproof, and really stable for bad ankles in rough terrain. I wear them anytime I'm not going to be skiing as part of the climb. I've beaten on these boots a lot and they look almost new. I generally have a heavy pack as a SAR volunteer as well, and these boots have been great for helping me manage that kind of weight without the insoles or arches collapsing on me. I only have two minor complaints; the weight and the upper lace hooks. They're not the lightest boot out there, but that's something I knew before I bought them. I can live with that. But the hooks for the boot laces near the top of the cuff are constantly losing the laces. I try to tie them tighter and tighter, but the laces always manage to slip free. Really frustrating.

Trash boot that is useless after just over a month in the woods. Firm boot, nice fit, I like the lace clips. Tread detached after just over a month. Happened with another style as well, guess I have trouble learning lessons. I can glue it but I have no confidence that it'll last even another month. Very disappointed. One star.
