While these felt very cushioned and comfortable, I should have ordered a half size smaller than what I usually wear in boots. They were too roomy in the toe box and slipped a lot on my heel when I walked. (A little heel slippage is normal on a cowboy boot until the sole is broken in, but this slipped too much.) In addition, I wasn't completely pleased with the Brown Bomber picture. Based on the photo, I was expecting a sand-colored light brown, but these were kind of a dirty brown, almost with a slight greenish tone to it.

They fit great and seem super comfortable. I have issues with the achillies tendon part of the ankle and boots and these seem as if they will not agitate it.

Great boots! I compared these against the Justin Gypsy. The leather on these is softer, and the overall fit was better for me - though I did have to go up half a size in either. Just wish the sole was available in brown, like the Justins, but that's a very minor detail. Glad I splurged on these...hope to get a lot of wear out of them!

I love these boots but they seem to run a little large. I normally wear a 7.5 in most shoes other than dress shoes. I bought these in the 7.5 and they slip on my heel more than they should. The left one feels fine, but the right one is awful. I have to wear super thick socks or wear 2 pair of socks. They feel great in the foot, but the ankle is where I’m having issues. I thought that it was just because I wasn’t used to this style of boot, so I have worn them a few times and can no longer return them for a size smaller. If you have narrow heels or have never worn or aren’t sure what size to get, have your foot measured before you buy.

Great boots, very comfy, plenty of room for socks. If you are going to be wearing these for riding, check the soles! Some colors are stirrup-safe (the smoother ones) but the deep lugged version of the sole absolutely is not, and will increase your risk of getting hung up in the stirrup and dragged.
I'd also recommend:
The Justin Gypsys are just as comfortable and a better deal.

I am so happy with my Ariat boots! They're really comfy and very cute! I've noticed people looking at them. Have only seen one similar pair of boots in the city. I think they're pretty true to size. Oh, and my boyfriend thinks they're really cute too! Wish the toe wasn't quite as round but I still love them.

Ariat Fatbaby is the most comfy boot I own... Ariat boots are well made enough to put up with the abuse I put them through. I am disabled and have a poor gate. I usually wear most shoes out quickly. Fatbaby boots are nice and wide. My toes are usually squished in boots but these give them room in the toe and accommodate my orthotic inserts They also have lots of style. I have 2 pairs of the black Fatbaby’s that I love. My older, more beat up pair for everyday and the other I keep around for going out. I got this pair in "teal" after wanting them for a year. They were on sale. They fit well but are stiffer than my other Fatbaby’s. The croc embossed makes the shoe stiffer. They are still comfortable I'm just afraid to wear them on a long outing for fear they will become uncomfortable. I am going to wear them on short outings until I am confident they are broken in. Even though these boots are comfortable I only gave them a 4 because Keen Bronx shoes are more Comfortable and my first choice if I am going to be on my feet all day. Ariat Fatbaby is my Second most comfortable shoe. (Fluevog angel boots are now my 3rd) I hardly wear the Fluevog now. Fatbaby boots are more comfy and easier to put on than my Fluevog’s. Fatbaby boots look better with a skirt or dress pants than the keen though. I can’t wait to wear them with my matching blue party dress! It’s going to be a wardrobe challenge to wear these boots often because of the unusual colors. I’ve got my eye on the Gembaby and Babybuck. I hope Ariat doesn’t stop making these hip, wider round toed styles.=0)
I'd also recommend:
Keen, Teva, Fluevog, other Ariat (Gembaby. Babybuck)

Love my boots - I have a pair of the lime green Baby Phats and I love them. I did not have to break them in. I also have a wide foot and they fit great. That’s why I am buying another pair. I did get a small chip though and I was surprised that would happen.

This is the second pair of Fatbabies I have ordered from you. The first pair was defective in that the right boot was much narrower than the left. The second pair sent were much more true to size.

I ordered a pair of Fatbabys with big hopes they would be the answer for my wide feet to be comfortable at work where cowboy boots are required. They were adorable! Unfortunately, the wides were not wide enough for me and were more rigid than regular cowboy boots. So waiting for them to stretch wasn't going to help. I ended up purchasing men's wide square toe cowboy boots that would stretch. I was also disappointed that the uppers were not leather and that some reviews said they would show wear fast. That said, if they fit, they're probably worth the price if you cover the upper with jeans.

Boots are super cute but not very comfortable The toes is really tight and the heels flip up and down.

Impressed with the waterproof, but the rubber toe cap is already peeling after 3 times of normal wear. The blistering while breaking these in weren't too bad though and it's overall pretty comfortable to wear.

Great look and quality but the fit? I had much difficulty getting my foot into the boot, then once I did, they were too large inside. I can see why so many love them but the fit just wasn't for me. Sadly had to return

I guess I'm in the minority of folks here. I don't find them wildly comfortable and I find the soft, flexible sides a pain to put on vs. regular boots.

This is my second pair of Ariat boots. The fit is great. However, I haven't worn them a ton, and in less than a year the heel is starting to peel back away from the boot. This is super disappointing! My other problem with them is just that the tread on these boots is very slippery when it is wet or snowy/icy. There is very little grip in these conditions.

Love this line of boot always works for the amount of walking but will not purchase again. It will be the water proof boot. It is August have had the boots 2 months, they have fallen apart...since I work horses for a living my feet get wet a lot. The fronts of the boots and soul have literally fell off the boot.

Love the look of these boots and somewhat comfortable. However, like a lot of the other reviews, came scuffed/scratched out of the box (which I have been told is normal for distressed leather and should buff out - it didn't) and has an extremely tight instep. Was impossible for me to get my foot into the correct size, so bought the size up in a wide. Still quite tight across the top of my foot and have a little heel slippage, but manageable with thicker socks. Just disappointing for the price.

The over all boot was absolutely beautiful, but they did not fit comfortably. The wouldn't stay on my heel, even after buying a different size and width the heel still slipped w every step! I had to return both pairs and hunt for another pair that will not slip.

I like these boots but they lack in quality. This is the second pair I have owned and both of them failed in the toe area. This failed within 6 months of owning them. I wear these all the time for the support and also ride my horse in them.

These are typical "Fat Baby" boots, nice metallic shine and heavy sole. I had similar ones years ago, but donated them because of the weight. Since then had foot surgery, the boots are still as heavy but more comfortable. not an everyday color for sure. PS. I need wide width boots (foot not calf) and these are OK though not wide.

I bought these boats for my husband for Christmas. He loves them and says they are so comfortable. However, they are tearing at the seam. So disappointing, they are not even 3 months old.

Unfortunately I could nog get into the shoe, the shaft of the boot was too narrow at the bottom for my left foot. But boots looked great!! Size 38 is ok, but shaft not.
