I am that rare species, a man who goes to Zumba workouts. I had always used cross-trainers for aerobics classes previously, but Zumba involves an unusual amount of pivoting and turning, and my shoes were sticking to the floor too much. There are "dance aerobic" shoes for women, but my feet are too big for any of these. My research led me to these split-sole dance sneakers, one of the few models made in an equivalent to a mens size 12. I calculated the correct size before ordering, but the pair I got were a half size too small. I did an exchange, and the size 15.5 shoes I got the second time around turned out to fit correctly. The best things about the shoes are their flexibility and their lack of "stickiness," i.e. I can pivot smoothly. This type of shoe takes some getting used to, and it was by my third Zumba class that I truly began to feel comfortable in them. The potential problem with these shoes used for this purpose is a lack of lateral support. These are made for dancing, not big, sudden, thunderous lateral athletic movements. There is a potential for arch or ankle weakness here, so beware. They do have adequate cushioning, however, so jumping type movements are fine. Overall I am happy with the shoes and would recommend them for Zumba, though frankly, a male version of woman's dance aerobic shoes would be slightly preferable. For any men out there interested in Zumba, I can also recommend trying indoor soccer shoes that have relatively little tread. They are light, pivot well, and are surprisingly stable.

This a great shoe for dance or Zumba. It allows for ease of turns, pivoting, or changing directions in routines. It is like dancing barefoot but with support.

Great shoe, very comfortable. Has adequate arch support in my opinion. I wear 9 or 9.5 wide in street shoes. I ordered 10.5 medium and got a good fit. I wasn't able to use my orthotic insert with these shoes, however they are comfortable enough without them.

I use these dance sneakers for Zumba because they offer good support and flexibility, and they glide nicely on the floor (unlike regular sneakers which tend to stick). They're light and breathable too. They tend to run small, so, for example, while I use a 7.5-8 size shoe, I had to order a 9.5 in this sneaker.

Very comfortable shoe, but it runs small. Had to order up 1 size. The return policy is the best.

As usual Zappos service is incredible and so are these sneakers. Just as everyone says they run small I ordered a half size larger and still had to return them for another half size. Great arch support and super comfortable. Plus they are really cute. Can't wait to go to zumba!

This is a really good dance shoe, even being flexible it still has good support. I am 68, weigh 178 and line dance. This is the shoe for me, I have tried others, but the cushioning is really good.

This shoe made all the difference in how I move during my Zumba Dance Workouts! I have bad knees due to arthritis, and as hard as I tried to get through a single workout, I could not do it because of the many "pivoting" movements. I love to dance and workout, and again, because of the arthritis, I have not been able to do much of anything for a few years. I was determined to figure something out, and then I found this shoe. It was my answer to easy movement, and my knees don't bother me at all during the "fun" of my workouts! Thank you for this awesome shoe! The sizing is the only issue. I had to return the first pair because they were to small, even though I followed their guidelines on how to order the size. I had to go two sizes larger. Thank you again!!!:)

I have plantar fasciitis and the moment I put these shoes on I felt relief. I've worn them for five hours now, and for the first time in a year my foot feels normal- no pain! Plus, they look much more shoe-like and less sneaker-like than you can tell from the picture. I love them!

I really like these shoes for Zumba. I've tried so many different styles, and I always come back to the Bloch Boost Sneaker. I only wear them for Zumba, nothing else. It has really good lateral support, excellent forefoot cushioning, and my arches feel adequately supported. The bottoms have hardly any tread, so sliding and pivoting is a breeze. The first pair I ordered was a full-size larger, my second I ordered only half-size larger. I have pretty wide feet, and these have plenty of room in the toe.

The shoes are wonderful! Especially if you have a wide feet. It is light weight and flexible on the feet then they move. Order half a size larger than your regular size. I am thinking about a spare pair for future purposes.

I love my Zumba dance Blochs. They are so comfortable. At first, I could not believe how they bend over, this is great for the foot to bend when dancing.

These are possibly the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. I bought them for Zumba, but find myself wearing them to work too. Zappos.com was easy to use, the shoes came very quickly too.

First, Zappos is great with fast and free shipping both ways! Thanks. The shoes work perfect for my Zumba classes. I have a very wide and small foot and normally wear about 3.5 to 4. I had to go all the way to 5.5 in these shoes. They, however, are not too long so these shoes as stated by others run very small. I am glad I found them and will buy more as needed.

Love these sneakers. Great for Zumba. Bought one half size larger than regular shoe size, but a little big. Could probably have gone up 1 size, but love them anyway.

There aren't too many dance sneaker options for guys with wide feet. I wear a size 10 1/2 to 11 wide street shoe and I purchased these at a dance supply store in size 13 1/2. They fit perfectly. I use these for Zumba and they are fantastic. For guys, I'd recommend starting at least 2 sizes up from your street shoe size. I haven't owned them long, but they seem very durable and well made.

This is a durable shoe for Zumba. With all the bouncing/hopping that is done, this shoe provides good shock absorption.

I bought these shoes for Zumba and I'm glad I did. They provide both the stability and the flexibility that I need. The pivot ball the sole makes turns easy. The arch support is excellent, and my plantar fasciitis doesn't bother me at all when I dance in these shoes. The shoes are excellent for ballroom lessons and practice, too. I'm 59 years old, and most times I'm the oldest person in the Zumba classes. That's fine with me -- I plan to be dancing in my pink Blochs for a long time. The only glitch was that I had to go up 2 full sizes to get them to fit. I wear a size 8 but had to go up to a 10 in the Blochs.

I bought these at a consignment store, size 10. I normally wear a 9.5, but they looked comfy. They fit perfectly! I have a very high arch and normally wear orthotics. I wore these to work today and never heard one complaint from my feet all day. I'm so glad to have discovered these. Thanks.

I am dancing on air! I tried these shoes in my Zumba class yesterday for the first time, and I absolutely love them. I felt much lighter on my feet than with the conventional sneakers that I had been wearing before. I am 62 and felt like I could keep up with dancers half my age. I usually wear a 9, but bought a 9½ based on other reviews and they fit perfectly.

The best Zumba shoe on the market. Several other ladies in class have them. Unfortunately, I never got to wear them, due to an injury. When and if it heals I will reorder these.

The manufacturer's recommendation about sizing is really true. Order a full size larger if you really want wide width. For me, I ordered only a half-size larger. It felt snug with stockings on but I think with socks on it would feel tight already. I love the bouncy support it gives on my feet for every step I take. It feels very different from any other sneaker - dancing shoes I had tried in the stores. I've had plantar flexor fasciitis in the past and this really offers my ankles excellent arch support. I will be buying the same sneaker-dance shoes brand in the future. This is one product I do recommend to others looking for sneaker-dancing shoes and no, I'm not related to Zappos nor to the Bloch shoes factory owner!
