a dancers delight - I really love the Toggle. I bought them just to kick around in and wore them to a dance class. Well the performance they gave was great!!! The split sole is the best and the slip on style is easy. If you could refine the rubber sole somewhat they would also be an excellent Tae Kwon do shoe...Thanks capezio your always stylin and zappos you're the best!

Toggle dance shoe - The Toggle shoes are very comfortable. The design allows me to do most of the step work I do in ballet shoes but the Toggle takes up a lot of the impact that I would normally recieve on the front of my foot. This greatly reduces the stresses and strain I feel by the end of 2 hours of dance practice. I am really happy that I found and purchased these shoes.

Love the shoes. The most helpful info I can share is regarding sizing. I wear a 10.5 street shoe. I purchased a 13 in this shoe and it fits perfectly.

Even if you are not a dancer! Use them with the NYC ballet workout. Comfortable and stylish! You have the choice to use the laceless as shown or regular laces, which are included.

I bought these for Zumba. I just love the toggle tie--great for changing shoes quickly. I have a hard time fitting because my left foot is shorter than my right. I was very disappointed to have to send them back because I couldn't get the left shoe to fit well enough--even with my insert. I traded for the Nike Musique.

My daughter normally wears a 3 1/2. I read the reviews and ordered her a 6. It was way too small. Have to return them but will order a larger size for her. She dances competitively and loves the look and feel. Just watch the size.

Great shoe for zumba - comfortable, and has very flexible arch area. The toe area seemed a little narrow compared to a regular sneaker. But after going up a half size, the fit was fine.

I ordered size 9 in these, even though I am a regular 8-8 1/2, and they fit perfectly. Very comfortable. Shoes leave black marks on wooden floor when dancing - beware! Also, unfortunately, one of the lace-loops was broken, but it can easily be fixed.

Stylish Slip-on - I was looking for an "around the house and yard" shoe that was easy to put on, more than a slipper (outdoor sole) and not sloppy. This shoe is perfect for my needs.

Not bad- I find these shoes to be very comfortable. I haven't tried them outside or on the dance floor yet, however I find them to be very flexible. They move with me in every way.

Capezio Toggle - Two Complaints - What I liked about this shoe - its clean, neat appearance. Practicality - they felt quite soft, comfortable, lightweight, and are easy to slip on and off - no need to 'mess around' with their 'bungie' laces, which are mainly decorative, though I can opt to tighten/loosen them if needed. Although I bought them a size larger, they still felt quite snug and narrow (my feet is neither narrow nor wide). I noticed that there are two problems in the sole area -- it "squeaks" loudly whenever it touches any smooth surface, such as the dance floor or any smooth floor. Also, I felt slight hard bumps right beside/under my big and small toes, which, I suspect, comes from the contrasting soft canvas material of the shoe against the hard soles (slight structural defect?). I couldn't ignore these two problems, as the more I tried to ignore them, the more they 'escalated,' which irritated me, so now, I regret not exchanging them for a different shoe. I realize I can't return my Capezio Toggles as they've already been tried once on the dance floor. (Sigh)... They both have pros and cons.
I'd also recommend:

Sweet looking shoe - I ordered these shoes for my daughter who has very flat feet. She tells me they are very comfortable. She has gotten many compliments on them already. I think I might order a pair for myself!

Nice Shoe - I purchased this shoe for my 9-yr old daughter for her first hip hop dance class. She wears a 2 1/2 street shoe and I finally got her a 4 in the Toggle. The 3 was so small in lenghth and width that it would not go on her foot. She has danced in it and likes it.

This shoe was very narrow even though I ordered a full size larger as recommended by the other reviews. To validate - order at least a full size larger. I am thankful for the free returns however am disappointed because I was hoping to have my shoes for working out by now.

Have had a pair of Capezio dance shoes for years and when I started zumba classes, I thought these would be great. Ordered the same size as my previous pair and to my dismay, they are too tight in the narrow toe box. Have tried everything to make them work. Be warned: although the shoe fits, the toe box is extremely narrow.

Nice for a couple Months - It was easy to go to the drug store and buy some dye for $2.50 and get a nice color. That rocked. My initial impression when they arrived was that they were a little flimsy. That proved correct. My wide feet busted out both outsides in less than six months. There's no reinforcement to prevent that for wider footed people. It really did help my dancing though going from street shoes.

Great performing shoe (runs small)! Of course Zappos delivery was quick and the price was right. I just love your service! The only thing is that I ordered 2 sizes to check the fit (and return the other): one pair in my regular size, and one pair one size up. I tried the one-size-up pair first, and found it a bit too snug in the toebox. So today I'm back on the site to order two sizes up from my regular street size! Other than that, the shoe did feel comfortable, and the split sole surface appears that it would be great for my purposes (turns, slides, and shuffles in Zumba class). I'm excited about the shoe, just disappointed that the Capezio sizing is so off. (Come to think of it, maybe I did hear once that Capezios run small, I must have forgotten.) Also with this style, I agree with the one poster who said she kind of had to "ram" the foot in there because the shoe material is so puffy, I get what she meant now! I don't feel that the profile of the shoe is overly puffy though, it is fairly sleek, and will look great with longer flare style exercise pants. I also like the toggle laces; will be really quick to change shoes when I get to the gym!

Dance shoes - I got the shoes for Zumba class, and they have made a huge difference in the way I'm able to move safely. I was twisting my knees in regular sneakers, but these glide while still maintaining traction. I got a full size above what I usually wear, and they fit great. My only complaint is that they are so ugly. The top and sides poof out and look ridiculous, so I always wear long pants with them. I'll likely try the lace-up kind this summer for a sleeker look.

Bob - I purchased this shoe for my Zumba exercise class and found that it allows me to glide on the exercise floor but still gives me enough grip for control. I did have to buy the shoe 1.5 size above normal. The shoe does fit snug but you want that in a dance shoe. It feels funny at first but is fine after a short break in time.

Capezio Toggle Dance sneaker - It's true to size. A little difficult to get on and there's too much gap around the ankle. This is my first time with a toggle and with a dance shoe of this type, so it might take some getting used to. I should have chosen black instead of white, however.

Hug your feet and looks good. However, there's no ventilation at all, so your feet will sweats just wearing it.

Very nice! I needed a shoe for Contra dancing and this works great. They are very light-weight but have enough support so I don't feel like I might roll an ankle. I ordered the size that fits my larger foot and it worked fine, so I would say true to size. I would like a little more cushion under the ball of my foot since I'm on it so much, but it wasn't bad.

Capezio Toggle - Please note that I am pleased with the shoe except for the toggle plastic piece. This piece consistently falls off and I have to clasp it together. I am afraid that I may loose it while dancing. I would prefer not to be constantly worried regarding this accessory on the shoe.
