Perfect - These rain boots were exactly what I expected; comfortable and cute. Basic enough to go with anything.

These look even better than the picture on the website! They are not very insulated, but just enough to keep you feeling dry. The grip is great. There are many surfaces I walk over during the day, including going from smooth & slippery tarmac to slick indoor tile flooring. I haven't slipped once! They are very rugged, and actually pretty comfortable. The foot bed is not rock-hard like many other rain boots I have tried on. My biggest issue (and pretty minor) is that the little strap on the side does not stay in the buckle. There is no grip on the buckle, and obviously it's only for decoration, but the strap constantly slips out or bulges out of the buckle. Annoying. I suppose a little glue could fix that. Or something. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend.

I do love my Sperry Top-Sider Pelican Tall Boots! 2 months ago, I got the charcoal plaid color and have been extremely happy with the look and fit. The whimsical color and pattern is tasteful without being tacky, and it gives a touch of fun to ye ole utilitarian rain boot. But the overall styling is also very attractive and would definitely merit a highly fashionable stroll in Central Park by Carrie Bradshaw on any given rainy NYC day. But don't forget about function! I bought mine for the purpose intended: to wear on our boat during cold winter days when we go shrimping and oyster gathering and fishing as well as mucking through the mud when we are working around our farm. Sperry's famous non-slip grip and proper fit do not disappoint when it comes to safety as well as comfort. These boots are only snug enough to wear correctly. I recommend ordering your usual size. Mine is a 10B, and I have a slightly wide calf. With the fantastically soft, warm and cushy lining from toe to calf, I can happily go sockless and bare-legged without any sliding or flopping around in these boots. And in really cold weather, I have no problem wearing thick, heavy socks and regular jeans tucked in. However, with all of this said, I have run into 1 major problem with the left boot after 2 months of generally typical wear. A good sized crack has formed along the upper edge of the seal between the bottom and the top of the left boot (directly above the ball of the foot where a natural crease occurs when walking). Consequently, my left foot has been getting drenched when I work, and this will not do. The crack is undeniably due to a flaw in the workmanship (a weakness in that seam), not any kind of damage done to the left boot. Since the boots have obviously been worn, I know that I cannot address this issue to Zappos, so I contacted Sperry Top-Sider. These boots have a 2-year warranty against any manufacturer's defects, and I have been given an authorization number with which to return them to Sperry Top-Sider. I am told that I will receive a replacement after these boots have been inspected by them for verification of the nature of the crack. This is my only complaint, though. I am looking forward to getting my replacement and hope they will not end up with the same problem. Hopefully, this was just a fluke. And as always, Zappos is the best with the world's fastest and easiest shipping as well as superior customer service! I am ordering another pair of boots from Zappos right now (Gabriella Rocha or Sperry Top-Sider; Kamik's fit seems too questionable) just to tide me over until my replacement comes through.

I put a thick pair of socks on and these boots to keep my feet warm when traipsing through the snow. I'd say the size runs a half size big. the orange pattern is fun, but not as bright as I thought it would be. It is more of a burnt orange. Still, I love the boots!

The shipment itself came very quickly, which was great because the sooner the better. The shoe itself is a little uncomfortable while wearing them. They don't really keep my feet warm as I saw in another review by a customer. I really like the brand so that's what caught my attention. The colors go great with my outfits, but next time I'll make sure I get a wider shoe.

Comfortable rain boots for NYC - I ordered the Charcoal plaid version of this boot. They comfortable and warm. I've walked to work on rainy days and have not been disappointed. The color on the website shows up on my computer as a dark charcoal, but in reality the boot color is a much lighter gray.

Great, chic boot! I absolutely love the look of this boot! I originally ordered a size 8 and ended up returning it (free of course - thanks Zappos!) for a size 7 which feels a little snug but much better than the 8. My only complaint is that the boot is a little tricky to pull up - like over jeans - but I manage just fine!

Cute but going back - These boot are really cute, and I wished they would have worked out but I am fairly tall 5'9" and they hit me mid-calf which looked kind of odd. I think if you are shorter or have shorter legs they would look better. They just looked like they were about three or four inches too short.

Bittersweet - I just love these boots!! I just had mine sent to me and love everything about them except the fact that they are too big. I wear 7 and assumed going for the 8 would be a wise choice but I'm returning it for the 7. Can't wait to get my boots back!!

A little short... Maybe I missed it in the description, but it is not a knee high boot--I ordered a size 10, I am tall, but the boot only comes to my upper calf. I use it as a sailing boot, so would probably buy something taller in the future, but it is a well made boot, like most Sperry products.

Sperry Top-Sider Pelican Tall Boot - Great service Zappos. Nice boots that I will be returning. Shaft not as tall as I would like them to be. Had a difficult time putting them on with thick socks. Needs a pull tab. Fits fine with thinner socks. Love your return policy. I still looking :-(

Sperry Top-Sider Pelican Tall Boot - This Boot is really very comfortable for a rain boot. I was pleasantly surprised to find it so very comfortable. Following the other reviewers advice I ordered a size up and the boots fit perfectly. They seem to have quite a bit more shine to them than in the pics, but overall look and feel well made. Since I have small calves and to my disappointment the circumference on a size 8 is 16 1/2". I swim in the tops of these boots. It's a big difference from the size 7 details that has the circumference at 12 1/2". It was a difficult decision to return them because they are so comfortable in all other areas.

If you have wide calves... The boots were cute for rubber wellies and very comfortable, but cut off right below my calf muscles, making my wide calves look even wider. If this will bother you, you should look for something taller.

Cute, but the top is a bit wide - I bought the green-plaid version of these, and they are adorable and comfortable. The only problem is that the top is a bit too wide. I have thin calves, and I would have preferred these to be a big more narrow at the top. They really gape at the top, when I tuck in my jeans. I'm having a shoe-person see if they can alter them for me.

Great - These are really comfortable for rain boots. The sole is very cushioned and my feet don't flop around in them. I'm a size 8 and the size 8 is a little big but it's just right with thicker socks. I like the fleece lining because it keeps my feet warm!

Love 'em - These are a great pair or rain boots. Wore them for the first time today and they are extremely comfortable. My only two criticisms are the height of the boot could have been a little taller and the calf a little wider to fit pant legs easily. Other than that they are wonderful and have a nice, feminine shape. Wish they came in RED! I'm a size 7 1/2 and the 8 fits perfectly... especially when you have to double sock it in colder weather.

They are great for attending wet soccer and football games! I really have enjoyed having dry feet at the games! However I really advise ordering 1/2 size larger if possible.

Trendy galoshes for fall/winter - These galoshes are great for fall/winter with pretty browns tones and go well with pants, jeans and skirts. They do feel just a bit larger than they should, however, a size smaller would be too tight most likely (so I use shoes inserts and they fit great).

Cute boots and the lining makes them comfortable and warm but as I walk my socks scrunch down and I can't figure out why. It makes it hard to wear them for any length of time.

Ripped at seams - Had them for 2 seasons and the seams ripped right where the feet bend when walking yesterday. Was sad because they were super cute and I hoped I would have them much longer.

Not worth it - These boots looks so awesome, and for awhile are pretty great. Like most rainboots, they have no support and lead to tired feet... but that's not a big issue for me. BUT, I wore them for about four months and they are already full of rips and tears. I wasn't even hard on them! I would go to work and back in them a couple times a week, nothing too rough! Get something more durable.

Fell apart after one season - I bought these boots last winter and wore them for the last couple of months. I pulled them out at the start of this winter and after a couple of wears, they developed cracks.

As much as I loved the design on this boot, the product was poor quality. After wearing these maybe 30 days over two years, the sides separated from the soles.

Bought these for a college daughter. She wears them occasionally when its raining. Now, after 15 months, there is s HOLE in the bottom of both boots - by the ARCH; not even where the foot hits the ground. Really liked them at first, but now am so disappointed with the quality - especially considering the Sperry name!
