Excellent!! I bought these for my 80 year old Grandmother. She's having a hip replacement in Jan and needed a slip on comfortable shoe in a wide width. She loves them and goes on and on about the comfort.

Soft as a dove, fits like a glove, my feet are so happy, they think they're in love.

I loved this shoe and it was comfortable - up to a point. The top is too long. It poked into my ankle, and I have really small ankles! Just not good. I thought about keeping them and cutting the top back a bit, but decided that was silly.

The Dove is probably a good, basic nursing shoe but it isn't the right one for me. I have always worn a 9 preferring roomy toebox with narrow-ish ankle. Since having kids & being 40 something, I'm having trouble finding any shoe that fits, including the Dove. My Podiatrist suggested wides of same size but then the ankle slips too much for me, including on the Dove 9W. The only shoe I've been able to tolerate these days is a Nike running-type shoe with mixed, mesh upper. Unfortunately, I do not consider this as safe as an all leather shoe for nursing prof but I've tried on many shoes in the last 3 weeks (Dansko Veda, Nurse Mates Bryar, Marcella, Dove, Klogs, Sketchers & Wolverine Aurora) & none have been comfortable for me. That said, Zappos has been a great way to try on many shoes without being stuck with them. I am considering soaking my Dove's in water (cringe) while wearing them as I have run out of options.

I haven't worn them much yet, we haven't started clinical rotations. They are comfortable and good for flat-footed people (unlike Danskos). They are also very simple looking, much less ugly than the clog style shoes.

Wear this shoe all the time and ordered a 7 instead of 7.5 as they stretch; but these are too short and even feel too narrow for a wide. Ugly shoe; but man are they comfortable for nurse's tired feet. Will re-order!

I bought these shoes to wear in a food service job. So far, so good. The only issue I had with them was tightness at first, but they have formed to my feet nicely after a few wearings.

These shoes run a little bit small. I wear a 7.5 but should have ordered an 8. The fit is still good and they are comfortable (just a little tight). I will be buying these again next time I need work shoes, just a half size larger.

I had a stroke. Partially paralyzed. Nurse Mates are easier to wear, very light & appear to be durable. I have purchased two pair in one year. One was a half size larger to allow my ankle support. My daughter-in-law has also purchased two pair since. She uses one for work & one for casual wear.

I can't believe that this shoe has gotten so many high reviews. I knew that this size ran small, so I ordered a 9, which is usually comfortably loose on me. My foot didn't even come near fitting into that shoe. Also, while I prefer wide width, I can make do with mediums, since that's all that I ever seem to find in stores. All they had was a medium in 9, so I got it. Forget that. This shoe is narrow. I have no idea how comfortable or slip-resistant they are, as I couldn't get them on, so I have no comment on that. This was my first experience with Zappos, and while the site was great (and the free shipping and returns is awesome), this Nurse Mates brand that they offer seems terrible. Looks like I'll have to search elsewhere.

I’ve had feet pain with my work (nursing) shoes for years, now that I’m older and heavier. These were just what the doctor ordered! Ha! I’ve been working 12 hours on my feet and and my feet and knees don’t hurt anymore. Yay! I’d begun to wonder if I’d ever find comfortable shoes again for my old feet.

Bought these for traveling and they are excellent shoes! Comfortable for standing and walking for hours, stylish enough for every day wear, super grip sole for cobblestones, and water resistant for soggy days on the moor. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Heads up! These run narrow! I usually wear a 7 Medium but they were too tight but a 7 Wide is perfect.

I have just bought my second pair of these shoes. I work 12 hr shifts as a nurse and I am on my feet probably 10 of the 12 hrs. These are the most comfortable shoes ever. I am going to buy another pair in brown to use outside of work. I highly recommend these shoes.

Just the best - I just started a new job that requires 8 hours of standing. My feet were killing me until I bought the Doves. The first day I noticed the difference - no more foot pain. I've been wearing them for about three weeks now and still no foot pain. I'd recommend them to anyone who stands all day.

Didn't require any break in period; I was able to wear them for a 12 hour shift the day I bought them. My last work shoe was the Easy Spirit AP1 (lasted for two years). The AP1 offered a little more support, but both are equally comfortable and the Nurse Mates are cuter.

Nurse Mates Dove - This is the first time I've ever ordered shoes online. I received them the very next morning! These shoes are comfortable and I like the way they look. Just what I was looking for.

Shoe is great! I have slightly wide feet, but not enough to get the wide size. Other shoes always felt too narrow and these felt wonderfully! I'm not a nurse, but my feet get fatigued easily and I do some walking every day for my job. Thanks for having these shoes available on Zappos.com!

These are very comfortable. I have very wide feet with bad bunions and there are very few shoes I can wear. I tried these in the wide and really like them. I have not worn them for all day yet but so far they are working great.

Very comfy - Not the greatest fan of how they look, but they are definitely comfy. I am a sailor and we must wear non-skid shoes at all times. I am in this pair 6 hours a day, and my feet, my legs are never sore!

These are fantastic. I've had a pair of Sport Highs since 2005 and they still perform beautifully. My legs actually look better than ever before, and I am 40! Moreover, I have a spinal injury and these are the only shoes that seem to lessen the impact on my back when I walk for fitness. Highly recommended!!!

I’m on my feet 12 hours a day in a dining hall. These are the most comfortable shoes. I would purchase another pair with no hesitation.

VISITING NURSE APPROVES - The 5 star rating is correct. I can wear them, 5 days a week, all day at my job on my feet, in and out of my car, up and down stairs of multi story apt. bldgs, on paved and unpaved driveways, and always feel at the end of the day as though I just put them on in the morning. The immediate smooth slip on comfortable fit, with a bunion on one foot, is a true test. The professional look with my uniform has elicited nice compliments from several of my colleagues and patients. Wearing them with white stretchy soft cotton sox on a very hot humid day is the ultimate comfort test.
