This is the shoe you could be searching for! The shoe is fairly rigid but the top is flexible. I have a myriad of foot issues and these shoes give me foot. If you have no foot, you have nothing. Good tread in the snow, feet stay dry. Not especially warm in the toe box, but not a real problem. These did require a little bit of break in, but no blisters or burn outs. Well worth the effort. They inspire a nice gait and look to be well constructed.

Just ordering my 4th pair in 12 years. Unfortunately they get used mostly for work instead of backpacking. They hold up well. lots of concrete and mud. 1 pair I had resoled with good results. If you want a dry do anything heavy duty boot, this works for me.

First of all, Zappos is the only way to buy shoes. I have tried many different boots through them until I found the Asolo TPS535V boots. Their service is fantastic. I also had a pair of these develop a flaw in the toe box within a few months. Zappos immediately sent me a brand new pair and I sent the old pair back in...awesome. Now for the boots. I now own two pairs of these boots as they are the only thing I wear. I am an outdoorsman in the hills of NE PA and I own a tree service. These boots can take anything I dish out. I have a really wide right foot and these boots can adjust enough to compensate. Thank you Zappos for your patience.

My husband and son bought the men's version of these boots and loved them. They wear them for both construction work and for hiking. I was very hesitant to buy shoes online without trying them on first. My son said, "Just get them. This is the best pair of boots you will ever own." So I went ahead and took a chance. My feet have high arches, not a big deal, otherwise are very average feet. The boots are a true size 8, which I wear in every type of shoe. Rugged hiking, boulder hopping, you don't feel the sharp edges of rocks. Boots are comfortable and worth every penny. My son was right; I'm seriously thinking of buying a second pair while I can. Just be sure to break in the tongue in position you desire at the start.

This is a well engineered and well manufactured boot. It fits like a glove. The only reason that I decided to return it is because I opted for the Gore-Tex model. The arch support is fantastic. It costs now but will last for years with proper care. I highly recommend this boot and hope that Zappos considers offering footwear that not only looks great but is designed and built great. Shoe companies truly do not appreciate the fact that women appreciate quality as well as style. This one may not be a glamorous boot but you won't be sorry. One thing that you should know -- this boot weighs more because of the structure and support that is offers.

I love my Asolo hiking boots. Having severe rheumatoid arthritis and hardware in my feet and ankles, finding any shoe or boot that fits is a challenge. This medium height boot which has the right amount of padding and stiffness provides stability and support when walking over rough terrain. I added a liner to provide a bit more cushioning and can wear these boots for hours without discomfort.

I absolutely love these boots. I am on my second pair within the past 10 years (I wore them everywhere). They do well in heavy rain, mud, heat, and cold. I have even taken them snowshoeing and had no issues. Despite trying many other hiking boot brands, I finally found this one and I would not go back. These boots have literally been all over the world! They are definitely worth the extra money.

LOVE these boots! They are ready to travel to the Alps with me. I didn't even really have to break them in. The only issue I had was that the side of the tongue was rubbing my shin, but I fixed that once I tied my laces a bit tighter. I like a sturdy boot so that I can just crash through whatever is in my path (plus I'm good at hurting myself with softer boots). These definitely fit the bill!

My left foot was severely damaged in a lawn mower accident so I have to find boots with good ankle support which has not been an easy task. However, these boots have worked out great. Most boots don't cover the ankle but these do and they have plenty of inner padding. I would highly recommend these boots for anyone needing comfort and ankle support.

I wanted to love these, and they are indeed beautiful and classic. They just did not fit me quite right, as much as I wanted them to, so back they go.

I have wide feet and have had double bunion surgery with screws in each foot, so need a boot that is roomy in the toe box. These are my 4th pair of Asolo boots. I have used boot liner inserts before however this pair has great arch support and enough cushion, so don't need my orthotics or inserts. BUT this pair, unlike my other Asolo boots is loose in the heel, even when tied tight around ankle. Bought these for serious backpacking, and they definitely need time to break in. Remains to be seen if loose fit in heel will be problematic. Also, small toe guard in front means leather susceptible to scuffing.

These looked great. But they are too tight in the toes, sadly. I have worn Asolos for 10 years and hoped that these would be it. See my other reviews. Five pairs tried, and I ended up with Salomons.

I have been through 4 pairs of these boots over the years, as they are a great hiking boot with support, comfort and traction. I have a narrow heel but need a boot wider in the toes due to bunions. The last pair I had I was a bit disappointed as this never happened before, but after 3 years the soles detached from the boot. I used to have the boots 6 years with sole still attached but worn and in need of a new pair. So I think they are using inferior glue on the soles now. Unfortunately I have not been able to find another boot with this fit and will probably buy another pair.
