I have been a customer for more than 25 years. I have loved my Rockports for their comfort and durability. I bought two pairs, Northfield and old-reliable ProWalker. My feet hurt after wearing them. I have had to take them off underneath my desk during the day because the shoes are too tight and the leather is too rigid. I have tried stretching the shoes to no avail. There must be a breakdown in quality assurance or quality control somewhere in Rockport's production process. Unbelievable. Then, I was talking to a friend about my disappointment, and he had the same experience. He had to go to another shoe store to buy new shoes.

Been wearing these for eight years and sad to say the quality diminishes with each pair I buy. The heels wear out in two months, the soles feel like cardboard, and the uppers never "break in", and conform to the foot that's wearing them. At one time (when they made in Rockport Ma) a new pair of these was like walking on air. I won't be buying them again.

I purchased these Northfield . The souls leave black marks on the floors and I notice the carpeted area now have a black path where I walk in my office. This did not happen when the were new out of the box. I noticed this about a month of wear. Very disappointing. I thought that this issue was resolved 30 year ago?

I was sorely disappointed with these shoes. The sole ground down very fast. In less than a month I cannot walk in these shoes without discomfort, pain and having them roll to the sides of my feet. These shoes look nice, and felt fine when first received, but in very short order I could not wear and walk in them due to the soles grinding down lopsidedly. The images of the product are deceiving, they look like they are fairly heavy duty, durable construction but even first impression left me thinking they are too lightweight and not as durable as hoped for. And the shoes strings included are so short that if you are used to double knotting your shoe laces when you lace-up shoes they are too short to easily do so. They were comfortable enough for the first couple of weeks but due to the soles/heels grinding down too fast they will only be wearable and usable until I buy another pair of shoes to replace them.

I've had shoes from Rockport, Sketchers, New Balance, Reebok, and Nike that I've been satisfied with for a while, but I've also had ones from both of them that wore out too fast or didn't fit properly..

These shoes look great, they're comfortable enough for all day wear, but the soles wear quickly and unevenly. I'm on my second pair and the soles on both have worn out within six months. Yes, the soft sole material may be comfortable, but they wear way too easily.

Bad shoe for wide feet - I purchased a size 10 1/2 4E and they felt way too long. My feet were in pain after 1 hour. Zappos sent me a second pair, size 10 4E which felt more true to length. I worked in those shoes for one week and I had to go see a doctor. The toes are too narrow. They are not a 4E shoe. I had blisters on my toes. The shoes don’t breathe and the top of the toe area is too narrow. I bought a pair of New Balance Poastal shoes. They feel like heaven. Rockports are hit and miss. Those shoes were a pricey miss.

Zappos service is great the shoe bites - The shoe order was filled in no time and no issues with Zappos. The shoe itself was not made for a large male with a wide (4x) foot. Rockport shoes have lost their luster for fitting the big man. Researching another brand as we speak and will use Zappos again.

HORRIBLE SHOES - I bought these shoes for a job in which I would be standing on my feet everyday. They are the most uncomfortable shoe I have ever owned. (I would rather wear high heels, I'm female). I think that you should save your money and buy a $30 pair of shoes; they'd probably be more comfortable. I bought them because of the great reviews, and I wish I hadn't.
