It's comfortable and stylish too. The wide size fits me very well.

I conduct home inspections and need to look presentable but need functional shoes (attics, basements and even crawlspaces). I've been using this brand for about 4 years. The shoes last about 6 months. The shoe laces disintegrate and for the price I'm a little disappointed they only last 6 months.

Rockport is a quality brand. I ordered these nubuck shoes in my size, which is difficult to find. I have only worn them once, but they are comfortable.

I have worn Rockport walking shoes for years in their more traditional form (lightweight with cushions around the opening and quasi-sneaker appearance) but had found that the cushioning tended to wear out before the rest of the shoe. I also wanted something with a more conventional appearance with a more aggressive tread so I tried these.
Break-in took quite a bit longer thanks to the lack of edge padding but it looks like these will work well in the long run.

This shoe is just what I was looking for in a casual everyday shoe. With that said, let me explain what I was looking for. I didn't want something that was fancy or stood out. I wanted a shoe that was versatile and could be worn walking the dog in a light rain as well as going out to a nice dinner. This is a very simple, classic design that can be worn with anything. I wanted a water proof shoe and this one fits the bill. This shoe was lighter weight than I was expecting which is nice, though the soul is not as robust as I would like; it's plenty thick, it just lacks the deep grooves and patterns that I am accustomed to. The only thing that I have found disheartening about this shoe is that because of the simple design, marks on the top of the toe are easily made and not easily removed. This may be a result of the smooth texture of the leather when the shoe is new and may very well be less of an issue as the shoe ages. I have had no problem with breaking this shoe in and it has been comfortable from the first day. I wear an 8.5 in a normal width.

My feet have felt the best in Rockport since 1988. My only gripe is that I was hoping the contour of the treads would not wear out as fast as it did; about two months of use.

I wanted to try this shoe after having gone through several Big Bucks Margins. The sides were very stiff and took about two weeks to break in to the point where they wouldn't cut into the sides of my ankles. Since the shoes are waterproof, I couldn't use leather conditioning stuff (it just rolled off). I wore thicker socks instead and that worked ok. They fit moderately well and are almost as comfortable as the big bucks margin. It remains to be seen if they're more durable, but the already done waterproofing is nice and I've got better grip on wet slick concrete floors. I will probably go back to the big bucks margin when these wear out though. I just think it looks better.

Love this shoe! It's got a great "dress shoe" look but it's as comfortable as a walking or tennis shoe.

Great shoes. Very comfortable. Look good even when they're worn for a while. The only problem is that the soles wear out very quick. I wish they lasted longer. They're the only shoes I've worn for about 7 years now (a lot of pairs).

Exactly as advertised. These are the best shoes I have had on. This is my 3rd pair over the past several years. Good product.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the shoe. The only problem is, because it is rubber, the sole will get damaged in the front of the shoe if you kick something that's, like concretefor example.

I love the dark brown color and muted styling as both fit into a professional work environment. I will buy them again but in a 'narrow' size as the medium slips off the heel a bit more than expected. I like the quiet, soft sole material as I spend 100% of my day on my feet on vinyl floors and I don't 'squeak' when I walk. I have just worn them two days back-to-back from 6:30 until 5:30 and don't feel any back pains that my old (not Rockport) shoes inflicted on me. You can buy these shoes with confidence.

Good shoe - runs a little bit big, but not too much. Good arch support. Weighs a bit more than expected. Good traction. All in all I would buy again..

Very comfortable and well made. The toe shape is a little clunky, but you can't beat the all day comfort.

Very comfortable and surprisingly light weight with plenty of support. Bought them to work with dress pants for work. Normally would've liked a Chukka Boot version but these looked great for work on a rainy day. Glad I bought both color options.

A good work shoe, or outside recreation/walking shoe - waterproofing is nice. Its style is a bit bulky looking.

Great fitting and feeling winter shoe. Good traction on slippery surfaces, great water/snow moisture blocking and much more comfortable than I expected from an Oxford. Kind of clunky looking and the color is less brown than what's shown and more mousy grey/brown. If the color matched the photo, I'd like this shoe much better.

Although this was a nice styled shoe, it ran larger than expected for a 10B and had to be returned for another style.

This is my second pair of these. They last me about a year before the soles are worn out, wearing them almost every week day.Only thing I'd mention is they have an odd matte finish, almost like they weren't properly buffed. Both pair I've had were like that, so I guess it's intentional. So far as size, I pretty much only wear Rockport and these fit like other Rockport size 9's.

The shoes are great! My only drawback is I come from the old school that thinks shoes should be shiny and these have the type of leather that are dull. I have tried to buff them but they still do not have that shine.

These shoes are made of high quality leather, and are water-proof, as advertised. They are quite good for walking over rough wet surfaces (touristic activity in England) where something as informal as hiking gear would be inappropriate. They fit right out of the box (unusual for me, I wear narrows) and accommodated my orthotics well. They were a good price for the quality. By the way, I ordered them on a Sunday night and they showed up at 2pm the next day!

I use this shoe to walk about a mile a day to/from subway and work. Solid shoe and, so far, holds up to rain and mud. Wish it had more cushion in the toe box. The sole seems sturdy and gives decent traction (just a little bit of slip over wet tiles).

Decent, not Airport Safe. As most have stated, a decent shoe. Definitely not airport safe (I go through security 2-4 times per week), which is the main reason for the original purchase. High outside quarter rubbed on ankle bone when new, but has since dissipated. Sole wears rapidly.
