I had given up on Rockport shoes as they no longer seemed as comfortable as they used to be - not as flexible or as conforming to my foot. But, I thought I would try these instead of the dress shoes I usually buy. These are very comfortable. In some shoe brands I wear a 14 (ASICS) and others, like Rockport (and Mephisto), I wear a 13. These 13 fit just right. I always wear Superfeet arch supports. The arch area in these shoes is very flat.

I just received these and so far I'm ecstatic about the look, the feel, and the fact that my orthotics fit snugly. I was looking for a pair of shoes that looked good and I can walk in all day long and these look like they fit the bill. I'll update my review after I've had more real world experience with them but so far, so good.

Love these shoes. They are not the flashiest, but they are very stable, strong and fairly comfortable. I have high arches so I'll probably replace the insole with my own insoles, but so far, the insoles that came with the shoes are comfortable enough. I'm loving these shoes right now and will probably buy the brown version, also.

They fit perfectly. I wear size 12 tennis shoes and so I was torn between ordering size 11.5 or size 12, but then I read other reviews that said these Rockports tended to run a little large, so I went with 11.5 in lieu of 12, width: M (D), and they fit perfectly. I don't think they run large at all.

It was easy and convenient to order online and Rockports came 2 days later w/o payment for shipping. I am pleased with the shoes.

Quite comfortable, good looking, casual oxford. But, in my opinion, the Rockport Northfields run large. I had to return my original ordered size 9.5 pair, which is the size of all my other brand shoes, in exchange for size 9 which turns out to be a perfect fit. Zappos' customer service people are extremely helpful and made this process painless with the exchange taking place in less than a week.

I ordered the Rockport Northfield size 13W. I put them on and wanted to walk around for awhile to break them in. I ended up walking several miles and felt like I had had them for years, as they were very comfortable, literally right out of the box. They appear very well made and the treads and that they are waterproof will surely be an advantage in the upcoming New England winter.

Overall I am pleased with the order. This was my first time using Zappos and I would do it again. Shoes arrived promptly, and in good shape.

Bought for my son for traveling during "rainy" season. He absolutely loves the shoes, no breaking-in necessary, perfect fit & arch support good enough so didn't have to buy any insoles (which have had to for many of his shoes). Highly recommend.

The shoes arrived on time. They are exactly as represented. I am very happy with my purchase.

Shoes came on time. Wore them right out of the box, after changing out the insoles as I have to wear custom orthotics, on a two mile dog walk, no problems. Have gotten wet shoes several times due to rain on walks, shoes dry within hours and are just a comfortable as new. I do wonder how long the heals will last as they are starting to show wear after a month of wear (minimum 5 miles dog walking daily). I will be extremely happy if they last longer than my usual 45-180 days.

The Rockport Main Route Northfield Waterproof is an exceptionally comfortable shoe. It feels much lighter than it looks and it looks good with both casual and business attire. It appears to be well constructed from good quality materials. I've worn these for over a week before writing this review and I really like them.I would definitely recommend this shoe and would purchase it again.
