My husband is a big guy and he needs a sturdy pair of walking shoes to get him from the train station to his office high rise. At the same time, the shoe has to look dressy enough for a white collar environment. This shoe hits the mark. It's affordable, it's comfortable, it's sturdy, it's dressy, and he can really put some miles on them.

Great basic shoe, almost no break-in time, and really holds up. I took a pair of these, along with many other shoes, on a six month tour and ended up only wearing these - fantastic for long hours of walking/sightseeing, and they look classic/basic enough to pass for dressier events. Even wore them to the gym a few times when my sneakers gave out - not a good look, but perfect support there too. This is a great shoe.

Not a super dressy shoe, but looks good with business casual, and it's far and away the most comfortable dress shoe I've ever owned! I wear these every day for about 8-9 hours, and I'm on my feet almost all day long. I've purchased this shoe three different times (2 colors and 1 replacement) and it has made me a committed Rockport customer for life! I've recommended this shoe to several people who also have wonderful things to say about it. Overall, a fantastic shoe for those wanting an extremely comfortable dress shoe!

These are the most comfortable business casual shoes I have ever worn. Highly recommended if you have wide feet like myself.

I bought a pair of these shoes last year and wear them almost every day. I have a very high instep and couldn't find this style in my size. Zappos had them and I ordered 2 pair. The are compfortable for my wide foot plus I don't have a high arch. They wear well.

My husband had asked for Nubuck shoes for Christmas and could not find the Rockport in his width (W). These shoes are nice looking and offer the Rockport quality. He loved them but has not worn them yet.

My husband has wide feet, so he was happy to find such a nice looking shoe in a wide size. And Zappos is a pleasure to work with.

True to size and fit - These shoes are true to their size and are comfortable

This shoe, although a little different than the previous model, is very comfortable and easy to work in. I wear them most every day and find my feet not tired even after being on them, climbing ladders and various things throughout my day. Good traction on slippery surfaces.

These are good, solid shoes. They are light and comfortable for extended walking. The only problem is the sole, which does not work great on wet surfaces and wears fairly quickly. They are probably not the most stylish design either, but what is more important, comfort or style?

This is a very sturdy and durable shoe. I can not use as a dress shoe with suits as thought. The bottom traction is very useful for walking off pavement. I wish the material on the toe box would not streak do not try to polish! Still this is a nice sturdy shoe for casual wear or bad weather like the snow.

Northfield Review - This is a great looking and very comfortable shoe except that the heel slips due to being a little wide, especially for a N (narrow) size. I normally wear 11.5 B and the shoe fits great everywhere except in the heel.

As others have mentioned, this shoe is great in almost all respects. It's very comfortable and the body of the show is waterproof. However, the soles wear very quickly and get super slippery. I would have no hesitation buying this again, if they just had a different sole. As it is, I need to replace them (because of the worn down soles) and I'm going to have to look for something else.

These are a full size larger in length than marked and felt wider than a standard B (narrow) width.

I know these shoes and Rockport in general are now getting a bad rap and I am here to add to that. I've purchased these shoes, the same make and model, for the past 15 years. I have noticed the lighter weight due to the poorer quality soles ( actually noticed it the first time I took them out of the box. Was a big difference) but was has no also changed is the break in period. I remember there really not being one at all. I'd take these out of the box, put them on for work and relish in the new feel of a fresh full sole. This current pair I have been wearing for a week and I my feet, mostly my left for some reason, is in pain after a few hours of just office wear. What else did they change? Is the leather a different quality as well and perhaps does not stretch as good or as easy? It may be time to find a new brand.

These are comfortable shoes, but the leather is so soft and weak that the finish was ruined on one shoe in less than two weeks.

I have purchased about 15 pairs of Rockports over the past 20 years and until recently I was always very pleased with the brand. Unfortunately, I found these shoes extremely uncomfortable. Even after a week of use they were still uncomfortable. If you are looking for a comfortable pair of shoes, look elsewhere.

Defective - both shoes had defective insoles that were poorly or improperly attached. Returning these. A different colored pair in the same shipment were fine. Looks like quality control problem with Rockport.

The fit and comfort are what I had hoped for.

These are my go-to shoes for international vacations -- great to walk in and ready for sun or rain. They're terrific for around town too, of course.

Honestly this was a much better experience then I ever expected. Let’s start with the size. It was perfect. I ordered 10.5 4E. When I slipped these bad boys on I felt like Cinderella. Just perfect. Not too big. Not too small. Not to wide or narrow. Exactly what I needed. The style. I mean look at them. Exactly what is in the picture is what I got. They are gorgeous, good quality, and look great with all my jeans. I’m wearing them to work every day. The break in was not nearly as bad as I expected. Normally breaking shoes takes a couple of weeks. These took one day. It was a painful day. But that is because these shoes have GREAT arch support... and apparently that is what i missing with all of my other shoes. I was constantly in pain. My feet killed me all day long. But getting these shoes, took that away. It was awkward getting used to having the hump in my arch. It took a while to figure out what it was, and that it was a good thing. But after a few days I realized that I wasn’t limping anymore. My feet weren’t in agonizing pain. And I realized, the lack of arch support in my other shoes was the culprit to the pain! Seeing as I was someone who has never owned shoes with arch support, it felt very odd. It still does at times. But I will never go back to something with out. Over all I feel like these will last a long time, they feel great, they look great. I have never had a more pleasant experience, which is saying something because i usually buy all my shoes in store. I’m pretty positive I will only buy ROCKPORT exclusively from now on. Zappos, which I think is now owned by amazon? They will be my destination for shoes from now on as well. Amazon shipping brought these to me very quickly as well. Very happy customer. If they keep this up, I’ll go back.

I have bought this exact same shoe in the store 5 or 6 times. No surprise to me that what I purchased fits and I like it. I liked it 5 or 6 times before that is why I keep buying it. Your price was cheaper but the same shoe from the same company. Thanks.

I am very satisfied. These shoes are indeed waterproof! The soles are nice and thick, but flexible, and not slippery when wet. I would have enjoyed these shoes more if after two months, I had not spilled ¼ gallon of latex paint over them and my new oriental rug. Thanks Mr. Contractor for not putting paint lids back securely! But, instead of replacing the one pair, I ordered two pairs because the shoes are that good. Now, if the paint splattered rug was only paint proof!
