I have a foot problem where the metatarsal bone sticks out and it feels like I'm standing on a pebble. I have to wear comfortable shoes even at home, and I don't want to pay for true orthodics. This one is well-padded in the sole, has a sufficient arch for support, and it won't chafe the back of my ankles. It is an ugly shoe but no one compliments men for their shoes and it wouldn't help my foot either.

Great looking shoe that matches almost any style you want to wear. Would like to have slightly more cushioning.

Price rarely changes, always available in the same styles, quality keeps getting better, and the fit has never changed. Other than my running shoes, the Rockport Northfield is the most comfortable work shoe I have ever wore. Their durability is rivaled only by their comfort.

This is my second pair in this style. Wore the first pair out. The fit is just right for my foot, and the comfort is worth the investment. The style is great for dress up. Sole is very thick and will last many years before wearing out.
