As a college student, I appreciate the ease and fit of my Tingley Storm Rubbers when walking across campus. They fit over dress shoes (for interviews) and sneakers (for everyday). I plan to order a second pair to keep in the car. I had them on to clear the snow from my car in the parking lot. I pulled out of the spot with some difficulty, but managed to get stuck at the plowed-in lot entrance. The rubbers made the messy job of putting on my tire chains a little easier. I'll keep the second pair (and some gloves) in the car for snow emergencies like this.

Real, classic rubbers -
For protection of good shoes and sneakers, Tingley Storm Rubbers are great. I've had a pair back when I was a kid and then again as I decided to buy a pairwhen I got to college--good move. They are easy on and work fine. The sides are not as high as is needed in some rain and slush but read my review of my pair of Hi Top Work Rubbers for that soluton.
Tread-wise, there are three I've seen, one with circles, one with .25" squares, and one with a tight pattern of small bumps.
I've tried rubbers from other companies and Tingley seems to know their stuff. I use mine in the spring, summer and fall for rain and in the winter they are not too bad on ice. They are not all that warm but far better than shoes alone!
I'd say to try a pair, they are light, and not much money. The only slight down side is that they do look like rubbers--not that that's a big issue.

The mediums were the perfect size and fit for my 8.5 D Allen Edmonds Delray. Didn't feel like investing too much for the Swims that AE had online. For almost 1/4 of the price I got functional protection for my shoes, which is the main purpose. These are definitely more durable than the old Totes that I had. Thanks Zappos for the quick shipping.

These galoshes fit the bill. One must be careful slipping them over one's shoes. The material suits, but is thin enough to warrant that above caution; personally, I like that they are so light and surprisingly portable/fold-able. I may purchase another pair to keep in my car. I purchased the largest size and while I will say that they fit a pair of size 12 square toed shoes very well, I cannot get them over a pair of similarly sized brogues at all. Your mileage may vary.

I bought these for riding bicycles in the rain. I cut a hole in the sole for my cleat, and they get the job done being wind proof and water proof. They are definitely tough and well made, if a little dorky.

Great service from Zappos. Husband needed rubber overshoes to cover foot brace needed for foot injury incurred days before 2 week winter trip to Europe. They were nowhere to be found in San Diego. Zappos had them in the right size and they were delivered to our house 2 days after ordering and 1 day before departure date. We were impressed! Overshoes kept foot and brace dry from rain and snow.

Easy on, easy off. Great for winter, holds traction on ice and snow. Sizing fit just fine (8.5D), although if you’re at the upper end and have something with a very square toe, you may consider sizing up. Compared to other overshoes that I’ve seen, what this one does better is that the heel fits snug and keeps the shoe from moving around. I’ve had a few occasions where I have left them on for an hour or two at work forgetting I had them on.

Wear size 9 and medium is perfect fit. Like how they cover entire shoe, especially for the big snow conditions here. Great traction on ice as well. Well constructed. Highly recommend and worth the investment to protect $300+ dress shoes.

Easier than I though to slip on my size 12 shoes, rubber is quite supple. Doesn't fully cover every inch of my shoes (maybe 90% coverage), but I'm not wearing loafers. Good grip on the bottom rubber. Would highly recommend these to anyone. Definitely need to protect your shoes from the elements!

My husband needed new work boots as his leaked, but we never found the time to go shopping for them. So I bought these to go over his old boots. Works like a charm! No leaks. Fairly easy to put on. Definitely worth the money! The boots were perfect, except for the leaking, so the Storm Rubbers extended their life.

Overshoes storm rubber achieves a convert!!
My husband insisted he did not want these, saying rubbers are too hard to get on and off, but now that he has them, he's been using them regularly when he wears dress shoes. We've had a long run of snow and ice this winter, and these have helped preserve his shoes as well with traction on slippery surfaces. He has found they are quite easy to get on and off. Success!!
