Much too narrow, but felt buttery soft

I am panning on wearing these to Body Jam. If I wear these without socks, I can get them on, but are just a little long in the toe and are weird looking. If I wear my usual athletic socks, I cannot get the shoes on. If I wear my thinner cycling socks, the shoes are too tight. I unlaced them to make these shoes at least possible to wear. These shoes are way too narrow in the toe box. I have another pair of Reeboks Dance URTempo that are not like this. These are ridiculously narrow, right out of the box. I think a little tweaking of the shoelaces towards the toes of the shoe may change things but I am going to have to get some super thin socks - and I mean super thin!

I ordered up half a size but they were much tighter than I expected (or like) especially in toe area. I kept them and they eased slightly but I wouldn't buy again.

So excited to get these back! But oh so uncomfortable! Very disappointed, pretty sure they weren't this uncomfortable back in the '80s!

Unfortunately they didn't have the 10.5 that I needed so I sized up to an 11. I have about an inch of leftover space in the toe area which definitely looks odd, but that was my doing by sizing up. The shoe fits very narrow so if you have a wide foot I don't recommend them, even though they are really fine looking shoes. I'm pretty disappointed that I'll have to send them back, but I'm thankful for a great return policy provided by Zappos.

I remember the first time that I wore Reeboks in the early '80s; it was like stepping onto a cloud, they were so comfortable. Years went by, and it has become so hard to find plain white hightops that are comfortable. So I was very happy to find these white Reebok hightops here on Zappos. Unfortunately, they do not fit the way the originals did. I wear a 9½; I ordered a 10 just to be on the safe side. These shoes are a 10 medium; they feel very tight. The heel is very narrow and squeezes my feet. The two straps are rather skimpy; they barely close. The shoelaces do not lace all the way up. It seems to me that the manufacturers are cutting corners. The uppers are still made of nice soft leather. Perhaps they will wear in nicely. But it has been a long time since I had to wear in a pair of shoes. I am spoiled by my favorite brands of hiking boots which are comfortable from minute one. Design-wise, these shoes have 99 percent of the original features, but if they are not comfortable, what is the point?

I have worn these shoes for many years. I now find that since they are made in China they do not last the way they used to last. The sides and leather breaks down more quickly and the arches go flat. I find I am replacing them every 4 months or so to get the support I need while walking. However, I still find them better than most and not as "stiff" in comfort as most high top tennis shoes.

I love Zappos, but not these shoes. The shoes arrived as advertised in just a couple of days from Zappos, which sent them express without me paying for the upgrade. but unfortunately they are too narrow. I always wear a medium width, but these feel more like a narrow. Had to return them.

Ups and Downs - I was excited to see this style of shoe since I'm constantly seeking ankle support. The support is there, the shoe was just a bit more narrow than I would have liked. I keep loosening the laces which is making them look a little funny. Hopefully I'll get them broken in soon.
