Great Utilitarian Shoe - not bad looking either! I bought a pair of these shoes about a year ago and loved them, but they were discontinued by the time I got to buy another pair. Zappos still had them, and in the "W" width I needed, so I bought 2 additional pair. They are not a light shoe, but the sole is great for walking around on concrete floors all day and my back is all the better for it. The only downside is that the inside back of the shoe tends to wear through pretty quickly.

Rockport 9N - My foot is hard to fit heal a bit narrower than front of foot. The Rockport size 9N are one of the very few shoes at any price that fit.

These shoes do look a little "clunky" but the fit and comfort make you quickly forget that. Very true to width, which is my most important consideration. Little to no break in time.

Comfortable dress shoes - I bought these looking for a pair of comfortable black dress shoes and because I've owned Rockports before. I generally like them, but the "feel" is rather strange. They are almost to "squishy" in the soles. I almost feel like I'm going to lose my balance. I did wear them to work (teaching) and found them to be relatively comfortable. I'm on my feet a lot on tile and concrete floors. These shoes weren't perfect, but they were better than most shoes I've worn in the same circumstances.

Great Shoe - This is a very comfortable shoe. It comes with an insert which provides a lot of cushion or can also be removed to accommodate orthotics. I highly recommend this shoe!

Extremely comfortable - I walk over 8 miles a day on concrete at my job (large factory) - I've tried a lot of shoes over the years and these are the most comfortable I've found. The DMX air cushioning works great! I'll be buying my third pair soon.

Comfortable but a little clunky. I have a hard foot to fit, fat feet. But the shoes fit just right. They are very comfortable. The only thing is the shoe is a little clunky.

Perfect shoe - I bought these shoes for my husband to travel in. They are airport security friendly but I was sure they would be difficult to get on and off in a hectic security check line. Apparently, I was wrong. My husband loves these shoes. He had no trouble in the airport security line and says these shoes are super comfortable. They look great on him and the fit is exceptional. He owns other Rockport shoes and feels the same way about all of them.

Rockport Blackville - My husband felt immediate comfort in these shoes when he first tried them on, which is very rare with his narrow feet. The narrow width for these seems true to size. We can never find narrow width shoes for him, so this was a great find. He has worn them to work for the past couple of weeks and says they are comfortable for all day wear. Thank you Zappos for offering narrow widths!

Comfortable should last a long time - The shoes were a bit stiff at first, but after 3 weeks, they are broken in and quite comfortable. I take a narrow width and other Rockports have fit fine. These were a bit loose, but double knotting keeps them firmly in place.

Rockport Blackville - A great shoe according to my husband. He has a terrible time finding shoes that fit due to his narrow feet. We ordered these in the narrow width and these were immediately comfortable for him.

Excellent for any weather and climate - Excellent shoe for many climates. It's been used in El Salvador, rain and humidity, to Washington with rain, snow and humidity, to rainy or dry, hot, Arizona and both the shoe and the feet have survived! Very comfortable but you might need a slightly wider width if you have a high in step. Very durable and great for walking. Not super dressy, but looks great for business and church.

The took it all but these - My wife left me and took everything except for my Rockport's Blackville shoes! She said they are dorky but I like them and will keep wearing them because they are so awesome.

Excellent Shoe - A comfortable shoe that looks okay for casual and non-formal dress wear.

Very Comfortable! Highly recommend if you are on your feet a lot during the work day.

Blackville Rockport - Very nice Rockport shoe, more of a business/casual look.

Nice! After hearing so much about how comfortable they were I finally made the effort to find and buy them. Thank goodness for my neighbor who told me about Zappos. All the stores were out of them and I almost opted for something else. Decided to come home and try the online thing, and have been grinning ever since. Can't believe how comfortable the air sole is... Service is awesome.

OUTSTANDING SHOE - I bought this shoe specifically to make walking comfortable in Europe, and it has instantly become by favorite shoe. As a regular dress shoe-in-the-office person, the look seemed a bit clunky at first, but I got over that in about 5 steps. Regular size in regular width accommodated my wide foot perfectly. Way more comfortable than my expensive Mephisto's. Love 'em.

I live in these shoes. These shoes are some of the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I bought my first pair in October of 2004 and have just now retired them to my yard shoes. They still have a lot of life in them, but my wife insisted I needed new ones. They fit my wide "duck" feet and keep me walking with a bounce in my step. I don't even wear tennis shoes anymore because these are so great for every day wear. The only time I wear other shoes (other than at work) is if I need my loafers for dressing up or my cowboy boots for dancing. They are worth every penny.

Excellent shoes for people on the go! Excellent shoes for people who have to be on their feet for long periods of time. Super comfortable and true to size. Good quality and performance, at a great value.

Good Choice - I ordered these shoes for my husband for his sixtieth birthday and he loves them. He wears them to work everyday. He always goes back to the Rockport shoes. He tried another brand but less than a year later, he needed a new pair of shoes. We will stick with Rockport.

Fits like a dream. I'm very happy with the Rockport Blackville I gave my son for Christmas this year. I was a bit concerned that they weren't going to be wide enough for his foot, but my son told me they fit like a dream. This is a good quality shoe that can be worn with a suit, or with jeans as it's both stylish and causal. It also looks very sturdy and I'm sure it will last a long time. All in all I'm happy to give it five stars.

So Good!! I'm a construction manager and can spend up to 12-15 hours a day on my feet on concrete. These make a massive difference in my ability to "hang in there." Keeps my lower back from screaming at me too. The leather cleans up well also, so you can spiff them up easy enough before business meetings. Rockport makes a pre-oiled sponge for cleaning that I highly recommend. Great shoe!

A MUST - I'm on my feet too often, before the end of the day my feet were in big time pain. After trying all the top brands including Rockport, I was ready to get prescription shoes. Blackville has a very different sole, these are the only Rockport I wear now. I just wish it had a better look.
