Great shoe, rugged, fits well from first wear, protective and comfortable. I gave only 3 stars for 'comfort' only because of one complaint - my pinky toes land in a place where they get irritated and hurt after a short while wearing. it's better with socks on. Don't know if this will happen to all pinky toes or just mine. Without that issue I love these shoes for water, light hiking and casual wear. Well made.

I know I know...everyone loves Keens - but I bought these specifically for a white water rafting / hiking combo shoe and they are just not what I wanted. Thank goodness I did a test run with them before my week long trip down the Colorado river. The problem primarily is that every single step in the river, getting in and out of the boat, and walking along the bank, fills your sandals up with pebbles and rocks and because the straps are lined in neoprene, taking off the shoe to empty them out when wet is really a challenge. On top of that, and this is what I found completely perplexing, there's a tag on them that says "waterproof" in bright yellow, but in fact only the sole is waterproof...the straps that touch your feet stay wet and clammy for many hours after you're out of the water. That doesn't seem waterproof to me. Lastly, the shoe bungee for tightening elongates tremendously when wet and gets a little crazy. I just don't see why anyone would choose these for water sports. I ended up exchanging for Sperry Topside H20 Escapes.

I love the color (I bought grey and coral). The shoes have good arch support and are comfortable for the first 30 minutes or until your feet start to sweat. They are constructed of a rubber-like material that doesn't absorb water like the advertisement says but it also doesn't breathe well. So your feet sweat and then the straps (which are of the same rubbery substance) begin to rub. I do not find that they have "generous ventiliation". It is very uncomfortable to attempt to wear socks in these shoes because the material of the socks sticks to the material of the footbed causing the socks to crush your toes. The claim of EVA antimicrobial footbed controling odor and moisture is not the experience I have had. Even applying foot deordrant/antiprespirant doesn't seem to help. The bungee cord closing systems also doesn't work for me, some straps still were loose enough to rub. I would not have kept these shoes if I hadn't made the mistake of wearing in the house for 15 minutes then deciding to take them on a trip to France. I definitely would NOT recommend these.

I was looking for summer hiking shoes from Keen; I ordered these, the Owyees and the Venice H2s. These were the winners! They had the best arch support of the bunch. I do wish that the style was a little cuter - I think I would prefer fewer straps and better color combinations, and the shoes make your feet look pretty wide in the toe box. However, comfort won, as it should for hiking shoes. The toe box's width allows plenty of space for your little piggies to stretch out. I am noticing a tiny bit of rubbing on the back of one of my heels, but I am hoping that they just need a little breaking in, especially since I do not see other reviewers' commenting on that issue. I cannot wait to hit the trails with these.

These are a bit tight and that makes them very difficult to slip on and off. There is also something under one of the straps that is rubbing the top of my foot. I'm going to have to return them and try a larger size and maybe a different shoe that won't rub when I walk.

I thought the shoe fit true to size and was very comfortable. My feet are wide at the metatarsals and they fit nicely. However, I am returning them because for some reason, they look like clown shoes. They are comfy once you get them on & adjusted, but it would be nice if it had a Velcro heel strap. These shoes are made in China so never get a 5 star rating.

Love how this sandal fits. I have a high arch and find these sandals very comfortable. Really like the choice of so many colors.

I love these sandals! I wear them pretty much year round (in the winter, with a thin sock). They are comfortable, come in great colors and the best feature is they have the toe bumper so you don't stub your toes. I think I have 8 or 10 pairs of these and some I've had for 5 years and are still in good shape. I think you can wear them in the water, but I don't. I highly and enthusiastically recommend them. going to buy my husband a pair for his birthday!

I have a lot of arch problems and cannot wear any kind of sandal or flip flop without major foot pain. I purchased these based on the rating of the product, especially the arch support percentage. I love these. I can wear them all day and when they come off I have no pain...I bought them a half size smaller and they fit perfect. There is a good chance I will buy another pair in a different color.

The shoes are sturdy. They tend to run half size smaller than advertised. Comfortable right out of the box.

These were comfortable from day one and are so versatile that they are the only shoes needed on a vacation that includes walking, biking and kayaking. So pleased with them. For me, they were exactly true to size.

I bought these Keen Newport H2s to go to Alaska. I brought boots which I also bought at Zappos and those Keen Newport H2s. They are the most comfortable shoes that I ever have. I have arch problems. I can only wear shoes with good arch support from certain brands but these Keen shoes are so comfortable. I wore them everyday and everywhere on my Alaskan trip. I walked comfortably. I climbed, walked miles, my feet did not hurt. I, for sure, will buy this Keen product again and gladly recommend these shoes.

I am trying to move away from wearing flip flops as my everyday summer footwear. These Keens have excellent support and more secure coverage, but are still well ventilated and comfy. Their washability is a big plus. I am still getting used to having a snugger fit overall, but I can wear these more places than flip flops. I am trying to pack lightly for a trip to China, so I got two pairs in different colors allowing me to coordinate with most outfits.

I have worn Keen for many years. They are great for summer wear no matter what you are doing. Great for just walking and water sports that need footwear. Comfortable and the toe area is wide enough so that you are not squished. Toes are covered as well which is great for active play.

Love these closed toe sandals! Fit is perfect and they are perfectly comfortable. The color is definitely more brown than black, but I knew that going in as I had read a previous customer's review.

Bought these for a trip to Italy, since I needed a good pair of walking shoes for the cobbled stone streets. They needed no break-in time...wore them every day (so comfortable, I never wore my spare pair). Highly recommend. Other reviewers said the shoe runs short, so I ordered my regular size and the next size up. They fit true to size for me, so I returned the larger pair (thank you Zappos for the free returns).

Comfortable, cool-looking - haven't taken them out on the river yet, but I love that they have no buckles or velcro fasteners, which take a beating in silty water. Easy to slip in and out of, but stay secure while on your feet!

I bought these for a trip to Hawaii so I could hike without heavy shoes and socks while still having toe protection. These were the perfect choice. They were comfortable from the first wearing and required no time to break-in. (Usually I get rubbing/blisters when breaking in any new shoe, but did not with these shoes.) I am a true size 7 and have a borderline wide foot. The size 7 fit perfectly. I originally bought a 7.5 per some other reviews indicating it ran a half size small, but that was not my experience. I had to return them for the size 7, but Zappos makes that so easy. I'm glad I purchased these.

The shoe itself is great. The service is even better. I ordered the incorrect size and they sent me the correct size the next day. Now I have an issue with one of the shoes, the strap is sewed different and hurts my foot so we will see if the return policy still stands...but do love the shoes.

Amazing! This is the best pair of shoes I have ever owned. I purchased a pair of Keen Newport H-2s 8 years ago this summer - these shoes have literally gone around the world with me. My Keens have been hiking along the East Coast, walked dirt roads in Ethiopia, trekked the jungles of Grenada, and snorkeled in the Caribbean. To this day, they look and feel amazing. The color is still vibrant, the tread is still good, and the fit has not loosened. I have just noticed one of the seems starting to wear thin, so I will be retiring them soon and purchasing another pair. I feel as if I should put the old ones in a display case!

Miss my old Keens. Been wearing Newport size 8 for years. Based on reviews ordered 8.5 and 9. Had to return both. Too snug and felt more lightweight and less stable and durable than my old Keens. Maybe just the difference between the Newport and the Newport H2. As always Zappos customer service rocks!

Good style. Comfortable. Wore these to a child's baseball game after a rain storm. Mud everywere. Came home rinsed them off. Good as new.

I am fitted for a 10 1/2, but wear these in an 11. They are supportive and comfortable, I can wear them all day! Love the super cute color selections, too!

These shoes are comfortable right out of the box! Order 1/2 size larger than you normally wear. Great support, great shoe.
