I have Keen boots in size 9.5, and Keen shoes in size 9, so I started with a 9 in these sandals. They seemed like I could get by in them, but I sent away for a 9.5 just to make sure. When I got the 9.5, everything about the shoe seemed 100% better, even though they were great to begin with. The arch seemed to fit my feet better, and the width in the toe box was just slightly better. So once I found the right size, they fit like a dream. I love these sandals! I will be wearing them everywhere I can!

Was unhappily surprised to see the raven/capri is not the medium gray that appears in the photo but is essentially black. (When they say "raven," believe it.) It is definitely smaller than my Whisper of the same size. (I don't know if that means the Whisper runs large or the Newport H2 runs small.) That makes the footbed a perfect fit for me. Unfortunately I have a very high instep and “smaller” also makes it uncomfortably tight over my instep and very hard to get on. Very disappointed. I wanted to love these, but I’ll be returning them. Maybe the Newport Evo H2 runs slightly larger.

These were extremely comfortable right out of the box. I didn't even break them in before taking them on vacation and hiking a steep rocky trail without any problem. I have narrow feet and these fit me better than my previous Keens which were a different model and were a bit too wide and floppy in the heel. These have a nice roomy toe box with good toe protection and a narrow enough heel to be comfortably secure, so if you have wide feet this might not be the model for you. Love them and love the gray with coral accent.

These shoes are great! I got these to replace a pair of Teva Omniums that were eaten by a puppy. They were great too, but these Keens are more attractive. I will say there is actually a little more support/structure in the Omniums, but the footbed in these is softer. My feet are very narrow and these tighten up nicely. They could be a bit more snug in the heal.

I am the owner of over 30 pairs of Newport H2 sandals. I bought my first pair almost 12 years ago. I have been very happy with them until I bought the newest version came out. The reason that I have so many is that they fit my foot perfectly and give me an adequate amount of arch support. I'm not sure what happened with Keen when they made their newest incarnation but they are seriously cutting corners. With this new pair it felt like my forefoot was wrapped tightly in an Ace bandage. I thought that maybe it felt that way because I was trying them on in the evening when my foot is more swollen. So, I tried them on again 3 different times of day over 2 days. Still the same feeling of tightness every time. So, back they go :-( In all of my previous H2s the toe box is so big that I can move my forefoot from side to side and can lift it off the footbed. Not so with these new ones. Keen, if you want to keep a long time customer, please go back to making the H2s the way you used to. I would be happy to pay more money if you would make them the way you did a decade ago!!

I was on the hunt for a pair of hiking shoes that could handle water crossings and hot weather, and these look like they will do the trick. I love the sturdy front so that I don't have to worry about stubbing any of my toes, and how easy they are to take on and off (no laces! yay!). They are light enough for easy movement and very comfortable, and they appear to breathe well. I am looking forward to taking them out on the trail. I originally ordered half a size up in a 9, but I found that those were too big and my regular 8.5 size worked better. This is also probably because I have thin feet and this is a wider shoe.

I love these shoes! I bought these for a trip to the Bahamas and barely took them off the entire week---I even have funny tan lines on my feet from the openings. I have foot problems and need a cushioning, supportive shoe and these fit the bill. I put them on in the morning, wore them out in the water, rinsed them off to go inside and walked all over the island in them. No break-in time, no blisters, no smell. Wore them to climb over rocks, in the ocean hopping waves, and all through town. Bought the purple and the raven/capri. Brought the purple on the trip with me (love the color!!!) but couldn't send the raven ones back... glad I didn't as I'm going to keep both pairs now. I can see myself wearing them both all summer. I normally wear a 7.5 and sized up to an 8 based on reviews - they fit very comfortably.

I loved my Keens, and it showed. I finally retired them after 6+ years. These were the only shoes I brought on my solo trip to Europe and our honeymoon to Maui! They're great on land and in water, even on the snow covered peaks of Mont Blanc, in France - with thick socks. I kept them until the sole wore through. Best travel shoes, hands down.

Nice sandals. However, the foot bed felt like a hard piece of plastic. If you have sweaty feet, these sandals will not work. These sandals would be perfect if Keen invested in a better quality foot bed. I would NOT recommend hiking at all in something like this. Best for beach use or walking around.

I think I'm going to love these sandals. I may re-rate to 5-stars after I wear them longer. Got for an upcoming cruise. I did order 2 pairs, one my normal size & one a half size up after reading the reviews...yep...I've gone with the 1/2 size up ones after wearing around the house. Returning the other pair. Will have to see how they wear over time & on the cruise.

Love these shoes. 3rd pair I have owned. Ordered 1/2 size larger this time just for ease of slipping on when I have wet feet. I wear them to the beach and on the boat. Keens are my favorite for comfort and support.

These are great shoes to wear - I own several pair. Some are several years old and can be washed to look like new. I appreciate the protection for my toes and the extra width around my toes so there is no pinching. Easy to slip on and off. Great for casual wear and always in style.

These Keen sandals are the best!

Perfect outdoor summer shoes! They protect your feet, and are absolutely perfect for camping or running around. They aren't great for hiking, as I got blisters after a 4 mile easy hike. I love the style, and always get compliments when I wear them.

Worth every cent. These shoes stand up to everything and come out looking good!

I had my Keen Newport H2 for a few years and finally convinced my wife to get one for herself. Once she had it, she ended up using it more often than other sandals. They do work for most casual events during the summer. She was just a bit self-conscious at first and thought they made her feet a bit larger because of the toe cap. But once she was used to it, she liked it a lot. A good birthday gift that got used often. I'm happy with it as well.

Love this shoe for all activities.. It is rugged and waterproof. great for water activites. I use it because i have arch support problems and it provides the needed support for all my gardening activies, water activites. throw them in the washer and they clean up and look as good as new.

These are my first pair of Keen sandals and I am very pleased with them. I have a narrow foot and high arch. I bought the 1/2 size up and it fits well. I have not "road" tested them yet, but am confident they will be just fine for hiking and river walking. They are a heavy, substantial shoe, not just a pair of flip flops.

I love my shoes, what a great fit and do they look good on my feet! This was the first time I've ordered from Zappo's and I'm very satisfied.

Love the Newport H2! Ordered this in 2015 for a cruise. Wore right out of the box - no break in time needed. Love the extra width in toe area. Have problems with foot pain except when wearing Birkenstocks and these shoes! Ordered a new pair this year just cuz color was a bit faded and didn't want to take a chance on them discontinuing a style that fit. Ordered size 10 - same as last year and they were too big. Reordered in 9 1/2 and they fit fine. Older pair is made in China - new ones are made in Mexico... Wish Keen would make this style into a full shoe so could wear in the winter! Thanks to Zappos for excellent service and a great return policy!!

I bought one pair of these, waterproof leather, a couple of years ago for wearing in the creek on slippery stones without slipping. They worked well, were used many times for that purpose, and do not look significantly worse than when new. They are just the right shape for my wide feet. I have Keen Whisper too, which has a more stylish feminine look, but it is really too narrow for me for long wearing. I wanted another pair for when the first pair is wet or dirty. I first ordered the grey/aqua ones. There was a defect in the R shoe where one strap was glued too far forward, and the glue was beginning to loosen where the strap hit the front toe protector. The strap's being too far forward meant that my little toe was not covered except the tip of the nail, which was very irritating. It was marked at that spot with masking tape as if to note the defect. Zappos told me to donate them to a thrift store and I did. They sent me another pair in the same color which had the same two defects on the R shoe to a minimally smaller degree. It was not marked as defective but it was. I noted that while my old Keens were made in China, these were made in Mexico. I sent them back and asked for the chocolate/sea green color, which was not my first choice. Those were fine and I have been wearing them regularly, including to physical therapy, where their stability helped with certain exercises. The color has grown on me. The only thing I noted is that the footbed of these sometimes makes my foot sweat, whereas my old ones seemed to have a more cloth like feel, more textured, and I do not sweat in them. If I could find a pair of waterproof leather Newports like my first pair I would jump for them. The second pair still gets a good review, but not quite up to the first pair. Zappos, as always, was wonderful about the returns and exchanges.

I LOVE these! i bought a pair last year, and now again this year. same fit same everything, just as it should be.

This Keen sandal runs small. I needed to order 1/2 larger than my usual size. Very comfortable. Zappos has a very easy exchange procedure. Everyone I spoke with was knowledgeable,very friendly and very helpful

Pro: Comfortable Effective for walking your dog in the city Great arch support Con Not for narrow feet Collects pebbles Slippery on gravel. Not great traction. I fell pretty badly while hiking in the forest.
