Bought these to wear kayaking in Croatia where it’s quite rocky and there are sea urchins and I thought the rubber toe and sturdy sole would be good to protect our feet beyond the thin cloth beach shoes. We wounded up wearing them kayaking AND hiking over slippery moss covered rocks and wet, damp terrain. The photo attached is of me walking on moss covered rocks in the Miami hammocks, very tropical, moist and wet. NO slipping! My husband loves his pair, I like mine as well. They are a good fit and size was true. I’m going to list the pros and the cons. Pros: Super comfy! I have very bad feet and wore these hiking for several hours without pain or discomfort. Great grip, especially on slippery surfaces Good support for flat feet Protects toes, great for riding our bikes around Miami Beach (lots of construction, nails, loose gravel/cement, etc) Good to wear to the garden Very well made, quality materials Easy to get on and off, no ties, stayed secure on our feet Cons: They ARE hot They do not dry quickly (to be expected, they are not thin) Were not good for the Croatian beaches as small stones got under your feet from the side openings They are not very flattering to wear outside of natural setting and outdoor sports (unless you like your feet looking like a duck’s!)

These shoes have made it through three summer camp seasons! I live in a tropical climate so they are my go-to shoes when I need tennis shoe support but don’t want to wear socks and have my feet fully enclosed. The arch support could be better and my ankles start hurting after wearing them for long walks. They also aren’t particularly stylish although I think they’re sporty enough . A coworker calls them my “Air Jordan Huaraches”.

First time Keens, same size as always, haven't fit. These run small.

I normally wear a 9.5; I went up to the 10 for more comfort. The 9.5 was just a little too snug. I put these shoes on for a few hours in the house, just to break them in. The next day I went on a 3 mile hike with no discomfort at all. They have great traction, good support and are amazingly comfortable right off the start.

Fast Shipping, Great Product, ordered from Amazon and returned them as one shoe was bigger than the other. Zappos got it right the first time!

I ordered my usual size 9 and these fit perfect! I wanted a sandal to protect my toes and still have my feet breathe while hiking and fishing.

I am returning these. I could hardly get my foot into them and the part that goes around my ankle/instep was so tight there is no way I can spend even 10 minutes in them. Poorly made and disappointing for Keen.

I wear a size 6. However, in this shoe the size 6 was too short, though the width was acceptable. I ordered a 6 1/2, and found it to be much too wide. I was disappointed to have to return both pairs .

Love the look of these. I've owned many keens but these were just too narrow & i couldn't go a size larger as i wear an 11 and they don't offer a wide. Shoot. Common Keen, some of us have wide feet.

Love them and sure to wear for years

I have over 20 pairs of Keen shoes. I love them all! I bought these in the Shark/Swirl color. The picture looked like dusty purple, but they are more grey. The Newport and Venice styles are my favorite!

I bought these and the Whisper sandal to compare the two. The Whisper is lighter and has a more slim/streamlined look while the H2s are a bit more heavier, sturdier, and have a wider toe box. When I first put these on they felt comfortable around the house and had more arch support than the Whispers. I liked the added protection around the toe area as well. Unfortunately after wearing them for a full day out and about walking (around a city) I started to notice a few issues: first, the straps that go across dug into the top of my foot, especially in the left shoe. I tried adjusting the bungee mechanism but couldn't find a solution. Secondly, the back straps dug into the back of my heel on both shoes while walking around. Thirdly, I noticed after wearing them for a full day my feet started to feel fatigued. Not sure if this was caused by the above issues or just me noticing how heavy these shoes were after a full day of wearing. Lastly, the shoes just look comical and a bit too wide for my taste and the design of the sole reminded me of camo, which is not the look I'm going for; I ordered Raven/Swirl Outsole - but this is just my personal preference. Would be nice if Keen came out with solid colors for the whole shoe (Whispers kinda have this going for them). So with these issues I'm going to have to return. These were also my first foray into Keen shoes as well. For reference I'm a size 6.5US/37EU and found the sizing to be consistent and not too wide/small for me.

This is my 3rd pair of Keen Newport sandals and I LOVE them!!! They are extremely comfortable and durable. I love the heather black and pink coloring of this most recent pair.

These shoes are designed for adventure wear. I wore them on a 10 mile hike on flat terrain and the stitching came out on the ankle/heel connection which makes the shoe useless. Your mileage may vary but for what activities they are advertised for and their price I was disappointed they fell apart so quickly. Shoes should last longer than 10 miles!

Bought these shoes 3 days before leaving for an 8 day trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Studios. These shoes were awesome. Very comfortable and my feet did not hurt at all. Wore these shoes the entire trip.

I've been wearing these shoes pretty much non-stop for the last 3 days, and the comfort is awesome! As others have noted, they run short and wide. Since I'm between sizes, with wide feet, they fit me perfectly. They could be improved by a buckle on the ankle strap. It's hard to slide your feet into them, particularly while standing, yet, if you use them for hiking shoes, you will have to take them off every now and then to shake out trail debris. Also: I'm amazed no reviewer seems to have mentioned this before -- the sole of the "slate black/canton" shade seems to be intentionally designed to look as if you've stepped in something very unpleasant. I'm serious!! Look at the image on this website!! None of the other colors have this, but the sole of the "slate black" (which as others have noted, is actually chocolate brown) is decorated with blobs of tan and brown pigment that look exactly like dog-, umm, vomit. It's totally bizarre. Makes you wonder just how much fun they're having there in the Keen design studio. Oh well, I'm keeping them for their other stellar qualities, and I'll just have to remember to keep my feet off the furniture.

I wish the color was available that was in the video! These are Keen - true to the model. I went with a JBU model as really wanted something that was more casual with jeans verses outdoor show.

These shoes seemed a full size too small and actually, one seemed a size smaller than the other. Definitely not the same quality as previous keens.

It’s a great shoe for plantar fasciitis and nice enough looking. Runs 1/2to a full size smaller than my 10 year old Venice H2s which says something if they are still wearable after 10 years. I wear a 9-9.5 in most shoes and returned my size 10s for a size 11. If you can find the right size they are great sandals that work in any casual/semi-casual situation.

order one half size bigger - this is my fifth pair

I ADORE these shoes. I have used them for basic hiking, kayaking, traveling, etc. They are my go to every day shoe. I have never had them break but have been hard on them due to daily use so end up having to buy a new pair every year... but TOTALLY worth it. Great shoes!

The fit was good - I ordered 1/2 size larger than a regular shoe and the same size as most of my work out shoes. No break in required - purchased to wear on an Alaskan Cruise Tour and it was the perfect shoe. Highly recommend.

These sandals are not attractive, but they offer good toe protection and a solid sole for rough walking/climbing. They are very heavy and wide in the front part of the foot. I also don't like the feel of the patterned footbed. They're probably great for heavy-duty activities but they're not what I'm looking for so I'm returning them.
