I was looking for a waterproof sandal with as good of arch support as my Chaco's, but with toe protection. I first bought the Keen Whisper - and they are GREAT, super comfy, light-weight, but only a moderate arch support (still much better than some cheap ole flat shoe!) & I found on longer walks I needed the higher arch of my Chaco's. This Newport fits the bill perfectly. The Newport does seem to run about 1/2 size smaller than the Whisper or my Keen Terradora hiking boot. I normally wear a 9 in Keens, but had to size up to the 9.5 for the Newport. The higher arch support comes with a thicker, stiffer sole and a wider toe box - which adds up to a bit heavier sandal - but they feel super supportive & sturdy when clambering over rocks, so I'll take it :) I ain't gonna lie, these aren't the prettiest of sandals, kinda clunky looking, but extremely functional & comfortable, right out of the box.

These are my go-to outdoor summer shoe - very durable and comfortable with good traction for trail use.

I don't love the look but they're more comfortable than I expected and easy to slip on and off. I have narrow feet and the toe box is roomy but I cinched the elastic laces and created a snugger fit around my foot. I think they will be perfect for an upcoming Galapagos cruise but I'm also wearing them around the house & running errands & they're well-ventilated in the summer heat.

Very comfortable. Easy to walk in So far seems to be a good shock absorber :)

Be specific about your likes and dislikes. How was the fit and size? What does the material feel like? How awesome (or not) do you feel wearing them?

I ordered half a size up and they are perfect. I have wide feet and was worried about that but they fit my feet great. I am so happy with these. I have a hard time finding sandals that fit me right and I love the covered toe.

Fit is good and they are comfortable in use.

I bought these shoes as a gift and had to order three sizes to get her the right one but I almost kept the ones that fit me because they are so comfortable.

Exactly the same quality as a pair I’ve had for 10 years! Great shoes for camping!

I ordered a half size bigger than I usually wear but it was still a little small and squished my big toe. Other than that it fit perfectly.

I usually wear a size 10 but needed to wear a 10.5 in this style. My last pair was so worn out, that these feel kind of tight and stiff but I just know it's because the elastic in the old hair was so broken in.

Love the shoe but the toebox needs to be wider or you need to offer this in a wide width

These felt a little snug initially, but I knew from experience that they would loosen up. They have loosened after some wear, and I feel they are true to the size I ordered. They offer perfect support for hiking through wet areas.

I have had Keen sandals before. The fit with this shoe is perfect - did not require breaking in.

I love these shoes - but for some reason, this "run" is smaller then the past. returning and needing to go up ONE FULL size. (I am normally a 8.5 - 9 in keens. now a 9.5??)
