First off, I do love my Keens, they are very comfortable. Unlike other reviewers, I usually take a 7.5 or 8, and a 7.5 worked great for me. My gripe is with the quality. I do wear mine often, and within 3 months the stitching around the back (near the Keen name) came undone, and the material is deteriorating. I contacted Keen through their warranty link on their website, and they have given me complete credit for purchasing any new pair of Keens (a good value). So, kudos to Keen. I can keep the current pair too. So, I took my Newports (H2)down to a local store that does repairs, and they restitched them for me. There is nothing they can do about the inside material without making them uncomfortable for my foot, but at least they will last a little while longer. So, my quest now is to figure out which shoe to order from Keen. But, I am impressed with them in standing behind their product. Hopefully, they will fix the quality issue for these sandals in the future.

No arch support (I was at least expecting better arch support than my flip flops being that this shoes was rated excellent arch). I love the look and style, but no arch support made my feet ache. Hike up the arch and I would love to buy the improved pair. Thank you Zappos for free shipping and returns!

little toe was not taken into consideration!
This is a problem only on the left shoe, which is constructed differently than the right! There is a too-large gap between the two straps closest to the little toe. The gap is large enough so that the little toe hits the first strap, closest to the toe, just at the wrong place. It is neither under the strap or clear of it! It constantly rubs against this strap at the level of the edge of the toenail. I can wear these sandals, but only if I wear socks! Too bad!
I'd also recommend:
I have several Keen clogs, as well as the Bronx high top and like them all!

If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Well, after waiting almost 2 years for Keen to finally make the divinely comfortable Newport H2 in my beloved celery green, I am so sad and disappointed to find that they are so painful and impossible to wear!
What happened?
My other Newport H2's are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I live in them even though the color was not my favorite.
My original Keens were size 10 and fit perfectly.
I had found when I ordered them in black that they were too small and could not find them larger at the time.
So, I ordered the Kiwi color in 10.5 but they kill me.
I am not sure if they're still too small even though a half size larger than i had before, or if the entire shoe is different.
I get cramps in my toes and the bottom of my foot also hurts.
The cushioning doesn't seem to have as much support.
I just don't understand why something so perfect had to be changed and ruined in my opinion.
Perhaps I should try a larger size.
Hopefully, that will solve the dilemma but I recommend to anyone else buying them, that they do so.
Overall, I love the shoe and adore the color and hope the size discretion gets resolved.
Thanks.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOE ON SMOOTH SURFACES. I was slipping on smooth bathroom flooring and smooth rocks. Zappos wouldn't take this shoe back and neither would Keen since it wasn't purchased directly from them.

This was my first try at Keen sandals. I am not hard to fit or please, but I just couldn’t get my foot into the opening to even try the shoes on. I had recently bought a pair of Keen sandals for my husband that wears Crocs and he couldn’t get his foot into them either. After I tried them on for myself, I loved how they felt, so I ordered a pair in my size. Well, sure enough, I had the same problem my husband had getting his foot into the sandal. I have skinny legs and ankles, but I just couldn’t get my little foot into the allowed opening. We live in Florida and I wear sandals 90% of the time and I wanted the Keens style because I do a lot of yard work and thought the extra toe protection and stabilize would be helpful, but unfortunately, they just didn’t fit. I was saddened and disappointed.
I'd also recommend:
Merril or Sketcher.

I couldn't put this shoe on at all. There isn't a big enough space to get my heel in, even when pulling the tab awkwardly..

Horribly tight and narrow, couldn't even get these on. Went for Venice 2.0 instead (even though they're still not wide enough).

I have had two pairs of Keens and they were fabulous but the last pair I looked like donald duck in them. They were not comfortable. Lucky I went to a small town near me and they had a great pair that I bought instantly. You were great refunding my money for them. I have tried wearing them around the house but not good at all.

These shoes came very highly recommended to me, so I decided to buy a pair for my trip to Kauai. I was very excited to test them out. To my dismay, I took them out on a 11 mile jungle trek and was very disappointed! Within 2 miles my feet hurt incredibly bad. I finally stopped to see what the problem was, and I had 3 blisters on top of each other on the arch of my right foot. Needless to say I did not get to do much hiking for the rest of my trip due to the blister. I will definitely be going back to my closed toe Tevas for any more jungle mud hikes! Cute shoe, but would definitely not recommend for brutal hiking.
I'd also recommend:
Tevas are a way better product!!

Broken hearted! I bought these based on the high recommendations and was sorely (literally) disappointed. I have tried wearing them 3 times on water/land treks and they have given me a horrible blister on both feet where the arch of my foot hits the strap. I tried carrying extra moleskin and even wrapping the strap, nothing helps, these are unwearable for me even though I have a narrow foot. Does anyone have any suggestions of another good shoe for that kind of trekking?

Not pleased -
Thought they were great, could not wait to get them. I bought and went to Belize, on a boat and they gave me nothing but blister and pain. I had worn them at home to make sure they fit but they were a big disappointment and will return them, not for a refund but for a different style. I have had feed back from friends on this style and they agree. Blisters and pain, sorry Keen but this is an honest opinion.
I'd also recommend:
Any other style.

Whups, made a mistake -
The sandals felt great. Wife and I walked around the block. Then again. Felt something 'give' in the left shoe sole. No visible mar. When back to house, blister on 4th toe, from left shoe sole 'canting' to the outside. When standing; looking down on both shoes. Left shoe seems to have lost outside support. Left foot does not fit 'flat' into sole bed. Left 5th and 4th toes shoved into uncomfortable contact with outside webbing. As if the sole had an interior 'blowout'. Right shoe sole centers foot: left shoe does not.
Whole family going on Alaskan cruise in one month. This pair of KEEN sandals will not be making the trip.

This is a very substantial sandal. I am a senior and the wide, thick sole offers superior stability and is amazing for maintaining balance which often plagues the older adult. The arches are great, the sandal fits true to size, the closed toe provides protection, and the color selection is good. I have several pairs of these and they have become an everyday shoe for me. They look fine with socks when it is chilly out.

These are very comfortable with excellent arch support. They fit like a glove, but have enough room in the toe area. They feel durable. That being said, they look wide, but feel quite narrow. I do not believe these would be a good option for anyone who has a wide (or even slightly wide) foot. I had bought the Keen Whisper also and even though they looked narrower, my foot moved around quite a bit. They were a cuter shoe. Recommend that one for anyone with a wider foot.(see photo- one on the right is H2)

I love Keen shoes The wide toe box area and support. I chose the colorful color for fun. I wore them when I took a trip to the Galapagos Islands. You can hike short distances in them too.

Love this for summer hikes. No fuss, easy breezy, no socks, grippy. This is my second pair. I recently, took them to Yosemite and did over 30km on a single hike with no problem. For cooler months, I also worn these with socks at the Arches National Park and surrounding areas for treks and more. Been using this exact brand and model for 10 years now. No complaints.

Most comfortable and durable pair of sandals to walk around in for hours! I love the reinforced toe and the arch in the footbed.
If you wear orthotics like the CorrectToes bunion corrector, these sandals have the room to accommodate them, because there is room for your toes to splay naturally.
These sandals look nice with sportswear/technical clothing (i.e. skorts, shorts, sporty dresses, hiking pants), but also jeans, and chinos (as long as they're more casual vs tailored).
I am thinking of ordering another pair!

I wanted a pair of outdoors sandals, that can be used rain or shine, on clean or muddy terrain or in water. So far they've been used numerous times for dog walks, for many miles, and they have been great. Very comfortable and cushy/almost bouncy, with excellent arch support and traction.
