Pros: Nice design, durable, light weight, waterproof. Cons: No cushion (it kills my fore foot and heel when I walk with it for some distances.) Depend on my experience, Teva sandals provide much better cushion.

I have an older pair and I am a little concerned that some of the stitches are popping off in the rear section of the sandal. The other pair is well over 3 years old and while the traction is a little rubbed out I think they are constructed better. The fit is the same I am just concerned about durability.

Very comfy and I like them, however, I'm disappointed in the construction. The stitching has come apart in the same place on both shoes, on both sides of the foot where the heel strap connects to the sole.

Sandals look good, feel good, but once you step in the surf you get shells, pebbles, and small rocks in them and its like walking with your ordiinary shoes with rocks in them, uncomfortable! I had to take them off several times to clean them out. I was kayaking at the time. Will trade them for water shoes.

The shoes are well made, but the comfort level is not as good as I had expected. I have owned Teva sandals which I wore till they came apart. The Teva's were extremely comfortable and the fit was perfect. The Keen tends to bind the little toe on each foot somewhat decreasing the comfort level.

I love Keen shoes! I have been an a loyal Keen-shoe wearer for at least 8 years. They are the only shoes that I can wear on my daily commute (especially the Paulina Mary Jane), to work, in a river, or while hiking. I honestly don't know what other shoe I would even like to wear that has proven itself so versatile, interesting, and durable. This is why I am so saddened to have to write this review. Keen is not branching out for women above size 11 shoes so I generally have to wear a man's shoe (boring colors and styles). To my dismay, after only 3 months of wear, my new Newport H2 shoe began to fray on the inner ankle.

The fit, OK. Quality excellent. Durability untested as I only wore them 3 times. Due to my inclination to suffer cold feet and my living in Washington state, I can't keep these. Also, you must have smaller feet than mine (size 11), or you might find them too big to wear in your kayak. They also felt heavy and clunky compared to flip flops, which also are great for getting in and out of quickly. Right, I can't hike with flip flops, but when hiking with either the Keens or flips I get pebbles and sand lodged under my feet--I am fated to ever wear shoes and socks when hiking. great sandals for many, just not for me. Thanks to LL Bean for their great return policy.

I ordered a size 9.5. I had to return it because it was too small. I exchanged it with a 10.5 and it fit well. They ought to have it in 'wide' sizes. I don't see why these are so pricey.

The toe box was too low for my big toes making it uncomfortable. Item returned. If they would have fit the item was well constructed.

We have purchased these Keen shoes for our very active nine year old son, which were recommended by his fishing camp. We actually bought a pair for all of our family members. The shoes have been great and Zappos service department has been wonderful. My son is very strong and rough on his shoes. He lost the tip and connector to the shoelace on one of the shoes in one week.

I got these because I wanted something with the airy, comfortable feel of sandals minus the wimpiness - I needed real sandals, ones I could run in without stubbing my toes. Unfortunately, the Newports have about as much airflow as sneakers, so while I can run in them, the price tag really isn't justified since I can get more comfortable sneaks for less. However - when it comes to water - you'll find the Newports are hard to beat. These are ideal for wading in creeks (and as I've read, going rafting etc.) If those are some of your hobbies, definitely consider investing in a pair. Oh - and the kicks are pretty stylish too. They might not turn heads, but hey, they look pretty sweet.

This is a well-made shoe which runs very small. Because of the construction there is very little give to the shoe and putting them on can be difficult, especially if you have a high arch in your foot. I tried them for a day around the house and finally had to return them as they were just not satisfactory for me. Really too much money to spend on a shoe unless it is a perfect match for you, which in my case it was not.

Quality if Keen Newport is suspect - I like my Keen Newport H2, but I will not be "showing them off to my friends". Why? They are practical and great for hiking, but the quality of the finish is not there. Specifically, the soles are "multi color", but that only means it is a base rubber color with a second color painted on. The very first time they got wet, the finish came off in blotchy patterns on the sides of the soles and the toe. I would not buy these shoes if you are looking for something that is durable and stays nice looking.

Disappointed in style and comfort compared to other Keens. Chose to return these. Very happy with Zappos customer svc. It's simply the best.

Nice sandal, but not for hiking! My wife and I got the H2's for a trip to Kauai. We did 2 hikes while we were there. We love the look and fit of them although they tend to make your feet sweat and get sticky. I have a high arc and a wide foot. Very comfortable. We were attracted to the protected toe area and the fact that they could get wet. Unfortunately, the tread on these sandals do not handle wet surfaces well at all. For hiking where you run into wet conditions, they are unreliable and could cause you to lose your footing which is a bad thing on a hike (especially in Kauai). You would think because they are marketed as a "wet" hiking sandal, they would have great traction in those conditions. They do not.

Good not great Keen sandal - From the first day I put on my first pair of Keen shoes, I was hooked: the comfort and functionality has me look to Keen first for footwear. I like the Newport but found a couple of issues: the webbing structure rubs the knuckle of my big toe on both feet. Not a big deal walking around town, but a pretty big deal on a 10 mile+ day hike. They are otherwise pretty comfortable. I have really flat feet and the arch support is OK but not as good as say Birkenstocks. Treads are great, and the tightening system is good and simple to use. Hot in really warm weather and stay soggy for quite a while after getting really wet.

Not for everyone (and made in China) These are comfortable, and would be great for camping/boating. But for everyday wear they are difficult to get in and out of, not as comfortable as flip flops for casual activities, and not as comfortable as shoes for more strenuous activity. I find I don't wear them as often as I thought, since they are much hotter and less comfortable than my flip flops, and are not quite able to replace my shoes for running and sports. I imagine these would be ideal for certain lifestyles, but apparently not mine. They are well built, but I was disappointed to see they are Made in China.

Rough footbed - I love the look of these, but the rubber like foot beds make my feet sweat badly. Air flow was good around the top and side of my foot, but underneath and between the toes I would always sweat. They were comfortable after breaking them in, but that still took some time. I wore them all last summer (adding an insole w/tape) but will only use them as water shoes from here on out.

I bought these for a three day hiking trip. 1st day I went without socks - what a mistake. Sand/debris got caught under my foot, walked through some mud as well - even more disgusting. On top of that it took forever for them to dry out because of the suede-like footbed. Wore socks on the second and third days much more comfortable but still got many blisters (the neoprene is nice and soft but there are junctions with the footbed that rubbed my feet raw. I could imagine these are good for walking around town but not much else (I couldn't tell you for sure since I haven't been able to put them on since - blisters are still healing). At the very least if you are going to try hiking in them - WEAR SOCKS.

My husband and son's Keens. My son loves the shoe, but my husband says that it is a very comfortable shoe but his foot gets extremely hot in it after wearing for a long period of time...

I used to love my Keen sandals, but they are now way too narrow in the toe box, specifically right below the pinky toe on the instep.

We have been buying these sandals for our kids for years. As the older one outgrows them, they get passed down to the younger one, and when she outgrows them, we pass them on to someone else; they've always been so durable. That's why I'm surprised that this pair, which I bought a little over a year ago, and which hasn't gotten that much wear from my teen (he mostly wears sneakers) just completely fell apart (strap separated from the sole). Unfortunately, Keens' warranty only covers one year from the purchase date and we are just outside that window. We will buy a new pair and hope they last longer. Especially frustrating that this happened to a pair in an "adult" size...which costs a lot more than the "big kid" sizes.

I did not like the comfort at all for this shoe. I ended up returning them because they are not as comfortable as other brands of shoes I have had of the same type.
