Bought these for my 12 year old son for camp and he wore them everyday. He said they were perfect for summer camping/hiking and stream fording! All the camp leaders were also wearing these very same sandals, too!

I ordered size 8 1/2 and have difficulty getting them on, as they're very tight. Once on however, they feel great and look sharp. Should I have ordered a larger size?

This is my 4th pair of Keen sandals in about 6 years. I basically wear nothing else on my feet for at least 8 months of the year.I am a gardener and am outside on my feet and in the dirt a lot of the time and these sandals are so comfortable they are all I need. My last pair were a lighter version with a thinner sole and I wore a hole through them in about a year. These are a heavier duty version and will probably last two seasons.

First I like minimal shoes and so this review may not be applicable to everyone. Overall I like these shoes and they look great. The biggest issue I have is the sole is too thick and has too much padding and "support" in it. It feels like you have 2 inches of think rubber under your foot. I would much prefer a thinner more minimalist sole.

11 years experience with the Keen product. These are sturdy, serviceable, sports sandals; your feet are happy when you change into them. A cautionary: the fabric comprising the last/shell of the shoe does stretch.

I have had 2 pairs of these shoes, and both have had stitches come out near ankle. Lessens the stability. Have had both pairs repaired and it happened again. This has happened after a year of ownership, and with a lot of trail walking, not climbing. Soles of both pairs wear down.

I'm giving these 4 stars because I owned a similar pair of Keens and loved them for years. These have to go back, I'm sorry to say, because they are definitely too narrow; my little toe is jammed against my next toe. Sadness... I like the style. I was a little hesitant too buy the red and grey ones because I thought they might look too garish, but the red is a little more toned down than I see in the picture. If you have narrowish feet, by all means, give these a try.

I bought these as a follow-on to my Newport "originals" with leather upper, which have started to smell funky after four years of heavy use and abuse. Although my original Newports are size 13D, the H2 sandals felt small, and I ended up exchanging them for size 14D. The canvas upper is just as comfortable as the leather. These truly are very similar to the original Newports, but the heel strap seems to be just a little different, resulting in a slightly more stable feel. Took them hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park where they performed admirably. A solid pair of shoes worthy of the Keen name.

These were really comfortable, but a little too wide and I have a wide foot. The style itself is exaggerated wide-looking, which looked a little too clunky on me.

What has happened to Keen? These shoes feel a little tight and I have had no issues in the past with Keen sizing. Hopefully they will stretch with wear. The shoe is well constructed however. Think I will order a half size bigger anymore for Keens. They need to go with the European sizing method, like Ecco.

This purchase replaces an eight year old Keen sandal. I'm glad I read (Keen.com) to bump my shoe size up 1/2. That saved me a re-order. The fit and finish are up to Keen tough standards. If I could have been in the room when they sign off on the model, I would have voted for a wider opening, say 1/8 of an inch. That would have taken the putting on on the sandal from a few seconds instead of the current couple of minutes. These are not TSA shoes!

These are great shoes. I wear these almost exclusively. They are comfortable enough for walking, golf, etc. They can be hot in warm temperatures. Also I had to return the last pair because they were too small even though I had been wearing these exact shoes in the same size. Due to Zappos' excellent customer service returning was no problem.

Almost a perfect fit. Maybe once I break it in a bit more my heel won't be sticking out of the back. Though I will say it was comfortable to wear right out of the box. It's non-slip for the most part. However, during our trek I did lose my footing a few times on wet moss.

Shoe was too small and is being returned. Just want to take this opportunity to say that Zappos has the BEST customer service!

Keen's makes a great shoe. This is my 2nd pair and I've been very happy with these. This pair seemed a little smaller than the normal sizing, but have noticed they stretch a bit as you wear them.

I had to replace my 10+ year old Keen Newports, size 10D. I am a woman who wears 11D in a woman's shoe, but unfortunately have never found this size/width available in Keen's collection anywhere. My old pair was leather, these are nylon- I liked the color. I should've heeded the reviews and ordered a half size up, when the 10D's arrived, they were too tight. I recently sprained my knee, and needed the extra support Keens provide. Zappos provides free shipping both ways and on all returns/exchanges, so I was able to go online and process my exchange for a 10 1/2D and print off a free shipping label to send back the other pair- I had my new sandals within two days. Very happy with the service, and I expect to get a decade of wear out of this pair.

I like these sandals. They're comfortable. I do find that they make your feet sweat. When I'm on a trail or ground that is dusty, has pebbles, etc., the sand, pebbles, small sticks, etc., get in the sandals with no problem.

Shoes have been excellent. they replaced another pair of Keens' after the leather stretched and they became too loose after one summer. Hope these are better.

I owned another pair of keens that I've worn so much that I can't tell the model specific that they were. I ordered these in (12)= my standard shoe size and they were tight. I had hoped there was a (12.5)offered. Instead with Zappos free ship, I took a chance on (13), expecting them to be too large. They are not, and if there was a (13.5) I'd have sent these back too. I love the color. They look very similar to the brown ones I've owned. I am still hopeful that maybe they will stretch some with break in.... But I've worn them 20+ hours now and they are not getting more comfortable. And there's no way I could wear them with socks/ winter. So I'm sad about these, but now also confused to try other Keens without going somewhere to try them on...and that's always a PITA, finding a brick and mortar store, that HAS multiple shoes and multiple sizes around 12.
