Well made; good quality. Very comfortable for my foot. The sole is a little stiff initially and when cold, but it loosens up.

The footbed makes my feet hot and perspire, otherwise the shoes are very supportive with a moderate amount of comfort.

I purchased them for an upcoming cruise to the Caribbean. With the closed toe, etc. I could wear them zip lining, etc. but found after wearing them (without socks) the straps rubbed my toes and my heels got sore wearing them around casually. Perhaps after the break in process they will feel more comfortable.

I read some reviews that these ran a half size small. However, the next half size up for me was out of stock. So I ordered my regular size, 9 1/2, and it fit great! I was especially pleased with the width as I normally take a EE width but these had plenty of room. I have two minor criticisms: 1. Though sandals, these are not very cool to wear. My feet actually get quite warm in them and sweat in the summer weather. 2. They are slippery on wet rocks. While hiking after a rain on some nearby rocky bluffs, I slipped several times on some boulders I was trying to stand on. They were more slippery than sneakers as the sole is somewhat hard and doesn't grab.

The Keen Newports arrived in a few days. They fit comfortably as prior Keens have. I wear them every day in the summer and they are a pleasure. I highly recommend these sandals.

The one I received is not like the pitcure shown. In that respect I was not pleased; however, over all I am please with the feel and support.

Good service when the sandal was too small. Free UPS return is excellent. Sizing of Keen sandal smaller than the same sandal I've been wearing.

Bought for a cruise in Central America. A bit snug the first day--be sure to wear with socks the first few days to break-in/stretch to adjust to your feet. After that, ok without socks,if you wish. I prefer the rubber toe protector with these rather than the open toe models, which protect nearly as well as usual tennis shoes or bikers but better for hot weather or water. My husband liked mine so well he bought a male version. He had to go up a half size as his were too short in his usual size. He wore his daily on the excursions, never using his tennis shoes at all.

These are my second pair of Newports. I love these Keens, but due to the poor sizing, I have had to order 9 in man's to accommodate my size 11 wome]an's feet. They are a bit wide for me, but the comfort is worth it. I just cinch the elastic bungee cord as tight as I can. I wish they fit in the woman's 11. Keen's sizing is different for every style; some are larger than normal, some smaller. They need to get some consistency. Otherwise great shoes in general, and of course excellent customer service from Zappos!

Good shoe, good price. Had to send first pair back as they felt a full size smaller than marked. I normally wear a 10, ordered a 10 1/2 and ended upo with an 11.

I ordered Keen Newport sandals and was very pleased with the timely matter in which I received my shoes. They fit perfect and are very comfortable. I have had many compliments and people asking where I got them, and the comfort level.

These are my second pair of Keen's. My old pair is almost 4 years old and are faded so I bought a new pair. I have to say my old pair (Venice) are a better design in my opinion. They are much easier to kick out the inevitable stones you'll pick up. They would be better with one less side strap. They are comfortable though and Keen are the only shoes I've ever owned that will hold up to almost daily wear showing little wear.

The closed toe design is good in that it protects your toes from bumping into obstacles, but the combination of the open heel and closed toe means that dirt can get in from the back, but it can\'t get out at the front, so it just stays between your foot and the sole until you can stop and take the sandal off to clean it out. Great as long as you\'re not walking on a surface that has lots of sand, dirt or gravel, but these shoes are ostensibly designed for trail and water wear. Bottom line, if you are that intent on protecting your toes, wear full shoes, and if you really want the open air of sandals, accept having your toes exposed.

Comfortable and well-made, but a bit wide. They're also warmer than expected; this summer in the mid-Atlantic region they may prove too hot.

So far, so good. Only had these a couple weeks. Walked around the Singapore Zoo for a few hours in them. No problems! Purchased these for foot protection, primarily for walking on rocks around the beach. Still have to be careful because I was jabbed by a stick between the straps, but much easier to climb around when you don't have to worry about them falling off.

Super Comfortable! Got these for my hubby for our trip to Hawaii. They were comfortable right out of the box and held up well hiking, climbing, biking, and even snorkeling. Only complaint is that the traction isn't all there, could be better, especially on wet surfaces.

Pretty Good - This is my first pair of Keens. Overall they are a good fit, have a good look, and are pretty comfy. The only issue I have is that my feet are a bit too warm in them at work. I bought them for the open style so my feet could breathe while I'm running around as a nurse in the ER, but as I said, my feet are still a bit too warm in them. For outside work, they are great. Super comfy after a few days of "breaking in." I would recommend Keens for those of you who don't own a pair.

I have grown to like my Keens, but took a little breaking in time. I have sensitive feet, and at first this shoe rubbed some blisters on the sides of my feet where straps met the footbed. But after awhile this effect subsided. Overall I'm happy with them now, and really like the cushioning and roomy toe bed.

Keen... so... well... keen. I was skeptical about buying a pair of sandals at this price, but if it meant comfort for the summer, I figured I'd give them a shot. They are very comfortable and I love the fact that you can machine-wash them! They're not the best-looking shoes on the market, but definitely better than Crocs! My only gripe is the price tag, but I guess the comfort-factor outweighs the $$.

I like the stying of these sandals very much and they are very high quality. I've had them for over a year and they have held up very well. However, there are some drawbacks: First, they're expensive. Second, they are heavy and uncomfortable if you wear them for a long period of time. I made the mistake of wearing them to Disney one day and my feet were killing me after 4 or 5 hours of walking. Lastly, if you get anything stuck in the sandal (like a small pebble), it will manage to get stuck in the front of the sandal, requiring that you take the sandal off. Not a big deal, but it can be a hassle.

Outstanding all around product - I wore this shoe for 4 months from desert to jungle, mountains and beaches, through rivers and in the ocean, over rocks and through dense underbrush. The comfort and durability can't be beat. You can wear them constantly for days on end without blisters, odor, or damage. The only thing that keeps it from being perfect is the closed toe. I prefer the close toe for times when you can't always see what you are stepping on or through and you don't want to bang a toe but one MINOR drawback is that it does tend to trap small stones or sticks in the shoe and you have to slip it off to empty it out more often. But, seriously, that makes the shoe an A or A- instead of a stellar A+.

Comfortable street shoe, but not for trail. This sandal has good arch support, plenty of cushioning, stiff sole, comfortable footbed material, high quality materials, and flawless construction. However, traction on trails and wet rocks is very poor. Additionally, debris from the trail continually finds its way inside the shoe and its nearly impossible to get it out without taking off the shoe. A real pain in the neck.

Eight days in Italy - I bought the Keen Newport sandals because they looked to be built like the proverbial 'Brick S... House.' I wanted a sandal with sturdy adjustable upper and solid sole supporting arch. They did not disappoint! We hiked the hills of Assisi and Siena, the streets of Florence, and the Forum in Rome. I found them most comfortable when worn with my Smart Wool socks for a full day of heavy walking. Without socks one day I did get some minor blistering. All in all; they ain't pretty but worked very well.

Tough Trooper of a Sandal - After an unusually horrendous experience with my last Teva purchase I opted to try out Keen's line-up. I've now had my Keen Newport’s for over two years and they're still holding up strong and remain a VERY comfortable shoe. Keens are cool (and comfortable). They are also excellent for canoeing and river running excursions.
