Excellent walking shoe - Propet sandals are all I wear in the summer.

IT WORKS FOR ME - This is my second pair of black Island Walkers. No I don't think it is a really cute shoe...but it fits my fat feet! And it doesn't hurt at all! This is the first shoe I have bought in a long time that really met my needs. I wear an 8 1/2 EEEE size and that is not fun. I don't get to buy cute shoes like other women. Even when I weighted 140lbs I still had an EEE width. So wide feet have been with me all my life, and it sucks! I have purchased other Propet shoes but not all as comfortable as these. One thing I like is the black insole; any other color insole gets stained and doesn't look attractive at all. So I suggest that the shoe designers make more sandals with a dark insole or stain free material, if there is such a thing. The only weakness I have found in this shoe is the elastic that attaches the buckle wears out before the rest of the shoe. If I can find someone to replace the elastic on my first pair at a reasonable price I will be thrilled!

Purchased size 8 1/2 N in black. Fit was extremely tight and narrow, and my feet are AAA width--have to return.

Propets Island Walker - I bought these shoes in an extra wide size for my elderly mother who has very swollen feet and they are wonderful for her. I tried to find shoes for her in several local specialty shoe stores but they only had big, clunky, expensive shoes. These shoes are ideal for anyone who needs a comfortable, decent looking shoe and the wide widths are great for people with swollen feet. It was also wonderful that I could buy a couple of different sizes to try and ship the ones that didn't fit back free of charge. These shoes were a life-saver!

A lifesaver! I bought these for my mom who has Alzheimer’s. It was obvious her feet were hurting and yet she didn't have the words to explain. After a visit to a podiatrist for a check--corns and bunions--I bought her these shoes. She really smiled and seemed to like them. They were so easy for her care giver to put them on because the velcro open and the foot can be placed in. They are wide and cushy and made her smile.

Island Walker - Fits very well. Great to be able to adjust the straps to fit. Only wish it came in more colors for summer. First day I wore them, didn't even have to break them in. Good arch support.

These I Live In - Of all my sandals, this is the one that I can put on and forget. And I had to do this because I have just in the past three years moved to New Mexico, where the atmosphere is so dry that I could no longer go barefoot in the summer - my feet would crack. Not to mention that on our desert property there are places where it is either too hot or too oww-ie to walk barefoot. So this Propet Island Walker is my answer. I can even do a little digging in this sandal! And it looks perfectly decent to wear away from the house. I will buy more Propet sandals as the need arises.

I have a closet full of shoes I should have never bought. I have hard to fit feet and thought I'd try these. They were delivered unbelievably fast and are unbelievably comfortable. I am going to order more for sure!

Comfortable, practical sandal - The Propét sandal fits well, seems true to size, and seems sturdy. It would be nice to have a light colored insole and a bit more of an arch. I thought that the strap positioning all around my ankle would bother me, but it didn't.

Very comfortable - The shoes are very comfortable for me because my feet swell a lot; I could have used a half size smaller but decided to keep this pair in case I need the extra room. Attractive shoes.

Help for a diabetic - When the doctor at my 92 year old mother's nursing home said that her diabetes is causing sores on her toes and that as a result she cannot wear enclosed shoes or even socks - Zappos became a wonderful resource. I had a very helpful agent on-line who worked with me as we scoured the sandals available that have adjustable (velcro) straps plus the security of the back strap to keep her shoes on her feet. She is so proud of them that she "shows them off" to all she comes in contact with. The shoes fit well and allow for the flexibility she needs. Thank you.

The comfort and support are very good. I was a little disappointed in the look. The shoe appears a bit "heavy"--almost like a bandage when looking down at it. But the comfort is so great that I have enjoyed the shoe, despite the "bandage" look.

Good Fit - This shoe is comfortable and wraps a narrow foot. It is soft underfoot and has no rough inner edges to irritate the skin. I have been pleased and have reordered this shoe.

Great summer shoe! I bought this shoe in white last year to take on a cruise. It was such a comfortable walking shoe (right out of the box) that I wore it practically the whole time -- on all my excursions and all around the ship. So this year I added a pair in black. You can't go wrong with the comfortable shoe.

Functional but cute - I have very hard feet to fit, due to many surgeries as a kid, so I have short but wide feet. The xtra wide fits *perfectly*, in fact I can velcro these closed all the way. They don't have much in the way of arch support, but all in all they're very comfy. And they're pretty cute!

Great Sandals - This was my first time to order shoes through the internet. I spent a lot of time looking at the various styles as I have a weak ankle, arch problems and knee troubles. I have not worn sandals in several years but these are wonderful. I can adjust the velcro straps to fit my long narrow foot and have enjoyed them greatly. I was going on vacation to St Croix with my husband which caused me to look on line for out of season sandals. The ability to look at the shoes from various angles was very helpful. I ordered them late Saturday evening and they arrived just after noon on Monday. Although they aren't the most stylish sandal available, they are well made with an understated classic look. Walking on air - These shoes are fantastic! You can adjust the velcro later in the day if your feet swell as mine do. My foot is pretty flat so I like that there is not a huge rise in the arch area which would make these uncomfortable. I use mine for casual and somewhat nicer times. I don't think you would regret buying these :-)

Great comfortable shoe - I bought these for my mother who has a difficult time finding shoes for herself because her feet are constantly swelling, so these were perfect for her because she was able to adjust them to her feet. What was even better is that one foot tends to get more swollen and with these shoes, she was able to adjust them appropriately for each foot. Great comfortable shoe, my mother was really pleased.

This will be my fourth pair of Island Walkers. All in different colors. I have a hard time finding closed toe shoes and I actually wear these with hose for dress. I have about 20 pair of Propét shoes. I love them and hope Zappos will continue to offer them. I normally wear a medium size but had to get the narrow in these.

Great supportive shoes for a bad back - I bought these for my mother who broke her neck and back in an accident. She needed sturdy shoes that she could walk in and be comfortable. After reading the reviews I thought these looked good and it was true. My mother says they are extra comfortable and provide good support for her back. The style is nice. She also wanted velcro which is easier for her to do than to tie her shoes. Can wear easily with socks if needed. Also needed shoes that came in wider sizes which these did so that was a benefit since her feet have been swelling. Stylish too!

Great Shoes For Me - I have plantar fasciitis and also peripheral neuropathy. I know the two don't seem to go together, but they do. My feet hurt so bad. I also needed to walk barefoot during the day because if I walked in a shoe that squeezed the toes in my left foot, the nerves in those toes would become hypersensitive, tingling, just awful and painful and I was unable to sleep at night. So I was searching for a shoe which was toeless, that wasn't tight, that I could wear if I went somewhere and also maybe wear in the house so I could walk without my feet hurting, and along came the Island Walker which is toeless, and I can adjust the tightness of the shoe with the Velcro straps. I can wear them around the house and on trips outside the house, and I am very comfortable except for a small place on one heel ~ the rest of both my feet do not hurt while I am wearing them!!! I wonder what the Podiatrist will have to say about that?

What a mother needs! Thanks for offering velcro front closure sandals and extra wide. I could not find a shoe that would fit, feel comfortable, and adjust to Mother's problem feet. The description and photos were very helpful.

Walking on clouds. Probably the most comfortable shoes I've ever had on. I have severe nerve damage in both feet, and rather a lot of pain as a result. These shoes do not aggravate the pain, not even after wearing them for long periods. They are comfortable walking, sitting and standing. Love 'em.

My friend loves this shoe - I bought this shoe for a computer-less friend, and she really loves it. She has some problems walking and says the shoe gives her great stability, and comfort.

Propet's Island Walker - This is a very comfortable shoe for walking, shopping and wearing around the house. It looks clunky but when comfort is of the utmost importance, you just wear them and go on with life. They fit well and are easy to clean with a Nubuck brush. I have two pair now and will probably buy one more!
