I had an old pair of Salt Water sandals that I rediscovered in my closet earlier this summer. They worked so well for a research trip with a fair amount of walking on gravel paths required in addition to looking somewhat presentable while working with professional archive staff. Other sandals got too slippery because it rained some of the days. But alas, it is time to retire & replace them because of their age and the leather is now losing it's color. Even though I ordered the exact same size, when my replacements arrived, was very disappointed that the straps over the front of the foot were too tight. The straps toward the middle are much shorter and tighter than they used to be and the sole is slightly narrower. Not sure how old my pair is (estimating between 10-20 years but were only worn a few times back then) or when the sizing changed. They are probably a slightly stretched out from wear, but I couldn't even get my right foot in the new pair and the left was also way too tight. My feet are difficult to fit as they are a size and half different and the Salt Waters actually stayed on both feet instead of slipping off which is why I was going to replace them even though not really stylish right now. As I mentioned, ordered the exact same size I had before. Sole is same length so doesn't seem to be a mis-sizing. Is it just me, or shoes in general getting narrower? Not the first time I have had this problem which is why I don't often order shoes. :-(

I really loved my previous pair of saltwater sandals, but these were different even though they were marked as being the same size. When I held the 1-year-old sandals up to the new ones, the new ones were obviously smaller. So disappointing! I also tried getting the "classic" style and they were also smaller than the old sandals. Maybe Saltwater has changed how they make the sandals?

Order was cancelled without my knowledge. Pretty crappy service, I am very disappointed- I used a coupon I received in the mail to join the rewards program- what a scam.

My daughters foot is narrow and since these are not adjusteable in the front (metatarsals) they were too wide. Other than that my daughter complained that the sole is so thin that it actually hurt her feet. Returned them.
