So Happy to Find These - I was so excited when I discovered that Zappos carried these salt-water sandals. I remember wearing them as a little girl and desperately wanted a pair, but I couldn't find them anywhere. Thank goodness for Zappos. The sizing is sort of funny. I normally wear a womens 7 or 7.5 and I purchased a youth size 5 (which actually says womens 7 on the box) and they fit perfectly.

BEAUtiFUL SANdALS - When I first ordered for saltwaters, I didn't get the word "youth." I thought that meant nothing, so I went ahead and bought my regular size, which is a 6. so I bought a 6 YOUTH. When I got my order, it turned out to be a 8 in WOMENS! Too big for me. I was disappointed to NOT get to wear my new sandals. So I returnd them and got a small size .. a 4! I still LOVE salt waters and planning to get more.

Only from zappos - As always the fastest delivery ever!!!! Not even the hoy company itself knew these were for adults too. I wear a 9 so I purchased a youth 7 and they fit perfect. Thanks Zappos.

the original saltwater sandal - I've been wearing these sandals since I was a kid; I'd get a new pair of bright red ones every summer. I love these sandals, and I've had a hard time finding them in stores since I moved to the East Coast. So I was very excited to discover them here. The sizing is a bit odd; I wear a 7 usually and order a 4 in Saltwater sizes. They're not suited for extended all-day walking, as the soles aren't at all cushioned, but they're very comfortable for a regular work day. I've had many compliments on their appearance. And they're an excellent value for money, as they are practically indestructable.

from small child to senior citizen - I got my first pair of original saltwater sandles 42 years ago. This type of sandal is my favourite of all time. I will continue to own them for the rest of my life.

Love these shoes.... I have purchased every color, color combination and pattern of this shoe.I believe I own about 34 pairs. My oldest ones were purchased in 1987 and I still wear them. I only wish Hoy would come out with some new colors. I would buy them for sure. Love these shoes.

Best sandal in the world for children - These were ordered for my granddaughters in Okinawa. In the past, I have purchased them for their mother, aunt, cousins, and uncle. For some reason, as children wear them, they seem to stretch a little which means they last two years if taken care of. All of my children and grandchildren have worn them.

I love saltwaters. They are part of who you are. The color you wear is the person that you are. I love all the color's that are avalible and the wide variety of all the shoes. I love the Hot pink and black ones. If you wear them for a long time then you get a tan that makes your feet look like a zebra, it's kinda funny

I loved these sandles as a child and now my daughter loves them! When she was four, she refused to wear anything but her Sun-Sans! Her sister wants me to order her some because they are hard to find in her size in the stores.

I really like these sandals, they are very comfortable. I wore them as a kid and now as and adult I still love them.

I have always wanted to have these sandals but despite being pretty they were too big. No half numbers. And extremely wide. No arch support. The foot bed is hard. Sad for me.

A very simple, classic sandal. The arrangement of straps over the front of the foot and around the ankle makes a custom fit easy. Youth 7 is indeed equivalent to a women's 9. I wore these right out of the box with no rubbing or blistering. However, if you need good arch support, this is not the shoe for you. It's very flat.

Love 'em... and I'm an adult! I've been looking at these sandals for a year now and finally decided to order them. So far, I'm very happy. I'm a true size 7 and the 5 youth fit perfectly. If you have medium medium/wide feet these work really well. They are cute and sturdy and look great with jeans, shorts and skirts. Excited to get them wet etc. I thought they would give me blisters but after 2 days, my feet feel fine. Possible cons: bottom of the sole isn't ridged so there's potential for slipping (though it's not slippery like leather bottomed shoes) and they are flat with no cushiness at all. For me, the flat isn't a problem. The are more comfortable than flip flops because they fit so securely which lets my foot relax rather than grip. But your feet definitely get all the impact of walking the streets. I'm super happy with these sandals and know they will last a long time!

Sandal for the fun of it - I first bought this shoe in a youth size 5 and I wear a women’s size 7. They were quite big. I returned them and then got a youth size 4, they fit perfectly. They were sort of tight and stiff when I first wore them. By the end of the first day they were way more flexible!!! Now they're super comfy. I like that they are sandals and you don't have to worry about them falling off.

Cute Sandals! I love that it's so simple and youthful. The leather gets nice and supple and the sole is thick enough for comfortable walking while thin enough to still look good. I wear these to school everyday and they're great. They seem to go with everything I wear. They don't have any arch support, so they won't be the best if you're planning a whole day's worth of walking. Other than that, I recommend these sandals for Spring, Summer, and early Autumn. I'm a size 5.5 in normal women's shoes. I bought a size 4 for these sandals because of what people suggested. Works out just as advised.

Good sandal - Well made, they don't pinch your toes, and are overall a good sandal, but a little too flat. I wish they had a little bit of cushioning.

I love these shoes! The sizing is very odd though - I ordered a youth size 6 which fits my normally women's size 8.5 foot. The quality doesn't seem as high as I remember from the past, but the look and memories these shoes provide more than make up for it!

Good flat sandal - This is a great shoe. I’ve been wearing them since I was little. Sizing is odd; the youth 4 is a women's 6 I think. The "tan" was sort of a funny rust color, kind of misleading, but they are so cute I kept them anyway and oddly enough they match most outfits.

Like the Shoes - The shoes are not exactly true to the size a size 6 in youth is a SMALL womens 8, so be careful when you order. They arent very comfortable after walking in them for a while. They dont have ANY support so you feel every bumb and rock on the ground. They are a fashion yes this summer though. Sometimes it hurts to be cute. Enjoy!

Straps are very stiff and uncomfortable. Maybe they would soften with wear but couldn't manage the blisters. Cute on the feet. Hard sole with no arch support.

Gosh, what a disappointment! My kids wore these every year of their lives growing up, and so when I started seeing them on adults it brought me back to such a happy, carefree time -- and I thought they were cute and must be comfortable, so I ordered a pair. When they arrived I was happy about the style, still reminiscing, but when I put them on I was shocked and felt bad that I'd made my kids wear them all those years. They are very flat and uncomfortable, but that's not the worst part. There is a very thick stitched seam (look closely in the pictures) on the inside of the sandal that holds the shoe together. It is extremely thick and hard, and it really hurt the undersides of my toes and around my foot. I don't have very sensitive feet, but this felt like there were little pebbles in the shoe. As for size, I normally wear a 7 in women's shoes, and if that every varies, it's to go down a size to 6.5; I've never had to go to a 7.5. So I ordered a big kids size 5 in this shoe because it is supposed to be the equivalent of a women's 7. The sandal was exactly the length of my foot, so in reality the big kids size 5 is probably about a size 6-6.5 in women's shoes. My toes and heels didn't hang off, but they went exactly to the end of the shoe (over that lumpy seam) on both ends. If I'd gone the next size up it probably would have been too big, so if it hadn't have been for the seam, I'd probably have kept these shoes, even though they were a tad short. Still, I contemplated getting a size larger so that my whole foot would fall inside the seam and I wouldn't feel it (hopefully that's how the kids shoes fit them because we usually buy kids shoes a little big for growing room), so I scrunched my toes back to see what the sandal would look like if they fit with the toes behind the seam and left the seam showing. There is just too much room left on the other side of that seam, so in an adult's shoe it would look like the shoe just doesn't fit because there's not enough toe coming through, and that it's too big and floppy--who wants a shoe that has a quarter inch of sole showing on the front and the back. Sadly, returned and put nostalgia aside.

This is at least my third pair of Salt Water sandals. I love the style, how well they hold up and that I can totally submerge them in water without worrying about ruining them.

When I first took them out of the box I thought they were going to be too stiff but after wearing them for about 20 minutes I realized that they were going to be very comfortable! I got the pewter because it is a great neutral and goes well with both blue jeans and black jeans which are basically all that I wear! it is also kind of a fun color and makes them look a bit more dressy. I am going to order a second pair just to have as a backup. I wear a lot of silver jewelry and even a gray handbag and they are a very nice finishing touch! I may even get black eventually!

Love these shoes. Stylish enough to wear with dressier outfits but plain enough to wear just out grocery shopping. Really comfy great quality

I love the saltwater sandals. I am a 7 1/2 so I bought the 8 and they fit perfect. I bought the black ones first then the pink ones. Love the way they fit and they are so comfortable. I will be buying other colors in the future!
